I saw Dr Dean because Dr Tressor (in the same practice ) approved me for back surgery but said that dr. Dean had the final word because he is basically the boss of the practice. I explained to Dr Dean that my pain was only at 3/10 at the time only because I was on Prednisone but it is usually never below a 5/10. He did his assessment and I reminded him that my range of motion is is better at the moment only because of prednisone. He told me "You dont need surgery" which was baffling since I have two chiropractors, one pain management doctor, two neurosurgeons ALL say "You need surgery" . Hes the ONLY one to say this. He also said, "Go ahead and continue with therapy and go back to pain management and see what else he can do for you". I said, "Im done with therapy and they said that theres nothing more that can be done for me and pain management is the one that referred me to surgery in the first place because there was nothing else they could do for me either!" My eyes welled up with tears and he showed zero compassion and changed his wording. "Well, I dont think it would actually give you pain relief, but Ill consult with pain management and Dr Tressor and take it from there" THREE weeks later I called the office to find out what was going on with his final decision and my other doctors said that he never talked to them. Office staff told me that dr. Dean said "no to surgery because my pain was only at 3 out of 10". From start to finish that whole process of seeing Dr tresser getting Dr Tressor to actually write his report on me. then seeing dr. Dean only to be told and no was a total of 4 months. I have to go to somebody else and start all over again. Shame on Doctor Dean for his inaccurate and pathetically poor assessment, for his apathy and manipulation and outright lying- stating that hes going to consult with my other doctors just to shut me up and get me out the door.

My entire family were all patients of Dr Dean for over 20 years. Although for many years I questioned his lack of care and his demeanor to the well being of my family and myself, we kept going only out of convenience and the difficulty of changing primary care-givers. What finally did it for me was...I just had shoulder surgery, I was in severe pain, it was the day before a long holiday weekend and I needed a prescription for pain medication fast. I called the Doctors office to ask for a prescription and was told by his staff that their policy dictates that they have 3 days before they NEED to comply with a prescription request from a patient! I was in severe and was basically told "we will think about it and get back with you next week". My wife then called them and firmly told them my situation, it was relayed straight from Dr Dean - "if you dont like our policy...then you need to go somewhere else"! I have never called this office and asked for anything before and this is how we were treated after 20 years of visits. I also will note that over the years Dr. Dean has now implemented cosmetic services into his practice...in other words - its about the bottom line for this man - your health is not a concern and he could care less. We now have a real primary doctor who cares about her patients. You dont have to take my word for it - there are dozens of patients that feel the same way; anyone who disagrees is either a friend or relative of his. I highly recommend you find someone else.

I have gone to Dr Dean for many years with a very complicated medical history and can tell you on 3 occasions I have been treated by specialist which could not find my problem and on all three occasions I ended up going to Dr Dean after giving up with specialist and hospitals to only find a simple solution and was treated in the utmost caring and responsible treatment.

I actually loved Dr Dean and hating switching to the doctor I have now. He listens to you and is the only doctor I felt truly listens instead of telling you what your doing which is refreshing nowadays. Great staff also!! If you can choose your doctor after auto accidents choose to see him!!!
