We took our son here to get his eyes checked. We were told that he needed bifocals because of an eye that turned in and if the bifocals didnt work we would need to do surgery. We went and got a second opinion because we didnt see much of a change and we really didnt want to do the surgery on our sons eye. Its not a crazy procedure buy my wife didnt like the idea of our 5 year old getting his eye worked on. The eye doctor we went to told us that he should have never had bifocals and it was affecting him negatively. The doctor was not sure why Mr. Gross gave them to him in the first place. First off I was irritated because bifocals are not cheap and kids are rough on glasses. Now I have to go get new glasses because this doctor obviously was incorrect in his diagnosis. Mr. Gross also came off very disconnected with his patients and I felt awkward while visiting his office. If you are looking for an eye doctor, pass on this one.

The worst. Im not sure if this Dr. is still in practice, our experience was a few years ago but it still makes my blood boil. Our daughter saw this Dr. twice both times he insulted either us, the parents, or her, the three year old! He grabbed her glasses and showed me that they were overextended, he said I was buying the wrong size glasses (I had no idea, I dont wear glasses so had no experience) He said, and I quote, "I understand you selected this frame because its stylish or cute but lets face it, shes never going to be on the cover of Vogue, stick with something that fits her face better." There is nothing gentle or kind about this guy. He talks more about himself and all his stupid degrees on the wall than he does about his patient. Thank GOD for Dr. Derek Hess, he is truly a wonderful Dr. and our daughter, his patient loves him too.

We have never been so insulted. Dr. was very quick to recommend surgery rather than any other type of corrective methods for our three year old. Then when I DARED to ask questions about the procedure, he said that there was no way he could ever explain it, it was very complicated but we would just have to trust him. I continued to ask questions, what parent wouldnt? And he continued to be offended and to respond by talking over me, interrupting and said that trying to explain it would be like a "college professor explaining Einsteins theories to fifth graders." Really? The whole experience was surreal. Well find another doctor, one who can explain procedures without calling us morons.

I will NEVER return to this office. My son had an appointment and 1:30. We arrived at 1:15. He was not seen until 3:15PM. What a waste of my time. They were under staffed and over booked. And so much for being a "pediatric" doctor. They did not cater to the children. The office had ONE toy...one toy for 8 kids to fight over. Horrible experience. I was not impressed with the doctor either. I thought he was quick to get us out of there. He did not ask anything about my sons medical history or concerns I had.
