As a two-time adopter from Rescue Adoption I have an overwhelming propensity to write a review in an effort to shed some light on these bad reviews Im seeing. I have to preface what Im about to say by letting anyone reading this post know that I adopted my first dog from Rescue Adoption five years ago; he was a 3-month old pup at the time of adoption. My last adoption was September of last year and he is a young 8-year-old. The staff and volunteers at Rescue Adoption are wonderful people and I will forever support their mission and vision and I will always adopt from them. From the bottom of my heart; thank you for entrusting me with the lives and care of two very precious creatures who you saved from a kill shelter. Now, onto the negativity. Ive read and reread these posts trying to wrap my brain around why anyone would come onto a google review site and bash a no-kill, non-profit rescue. Having read and signed not one but two adoption contracts with Rescue Adoption I’m stunned to read that anyone would hold a rescue accountable when their adopted pet became sick a week after adoption. Did you call Rescue Adoption when you noticed the dogs were sick or did you wait a week to contact them? Were they sick when you adopted them? If so, why didn’t you say something then? If you allowed 2 puppies to be sick for a week – you should have been questioned about your ability to care for puppies both financially and intelligently. I’m guessing if a human child was sick, they would have seen a doctor immediately, not a week later. All dogs adopted through Rescue Adoption are given 30 days of free pet insurance as well. I’d also like to mention that a responsible pet owner would have set up an appointment with their veterinarian to get their dogs established as patients – I can only venture to guess that wasn’t done either. Setting up any pet for a vet visit to get established as a new patient is dog ownership 101. Onto the woman who surrendered her adopted dog to a shelter after a month – you should be ashamed of yourself. You signed up for a life-long commitment (your life or the dogs whichever came first) and after a month the novelty wore off and you dropped the dog off at another shelter where he or she could have been euthanized? Had you read your contract or any other adoption information you were given; Rescue Adoption will always, always, always take their dog back – all you had to do was call. My guess is you didn’t call because you were afraid (for whatever reason) and took the cowards way by not saying a word, hoping for the best and then creating a poor google review because YOU failed. I could go on and on but I fear most of this will fall on the deaf ears and blind eyes of keyboard cowgirls/cowboys. I will say this however; as a result of my first adopted dog – I have become an advocate for those who can’t speak. Non-profit, no-kill rescues save thousands of lives every year but they can’t do that without their supporters and without their past, present and future adopters. I encourage you and beg you to think of the lives you’re affecting in posting a one-sided, bad review. I also further encourage you to reach out to Rescue Adoption if there is a problem and work toward a resolution in line with the adoption contract, the adopters and the rescues mission and vision. At the end of the day, once you sign a contract (car, home, pet) it becomes your responsibility to make sure everything is in place so that you don’t violate the contract you’ve signed. In closing, be kind to one another, especially to those without a voice.

Two time adopter here :) its been quite a while since Ive left a review too! I adopted my first dog from Rescue Adoption 6 years ago. My second dog I adopted was two years ago - he was a foster fail. I agreed to foster him and well, fell in love. The good folks at Rescue Adoption have always been available to me if I had any questions, no matter how much time has passed. My foster fail was a senior dog and after the first year I realized he needed a teeth cleaning. I called my vet, who Ive been going to for 11 years to get a quote (well over 500 bucks, plus additional money for extractions and/or meds). I knew RA had a vet clinic, so I went there and bought the voucher and set up my appointment. The morning of my appointment, I brought my old man up there and much to my dismay, he recognized all the staff at RA. He was excited to see everyone, he wanted to be there which cracked me up. He got his teeth cleaned and when he was ready to be picked up, I got a phone to come get him. He needed to be on meds for a few weeks after for and I got those too. All for the voucher price of $100. You just cant beat inexpensive, quality vet care. You also cant beat the feeling knowing your dog wants to be there. Thanks Rescue Adoption! Yall are the best!!

My husband and I were blessed by our adopted son teddy After losing our Molly after she passed over to doggy heaven We were lost and had so much love in our hearts for another Dog but with being in our senior years felt we did not want To take another dog to love and take care of. Well, after Several months I had another with my heart, my husband said If one of went home to the lord we should have someone to Have home waiting for the one who was left. So we started Looking going from one place to another and finally ended up At aspca The people there were so kind and patient with Us as we searched for that special one....... The first choice Was Mary, brought her home but she didnt like cats so we said Our goodbyes and thought it was not to be. But they (Dona and Richard) had a special puppy they were thinking of that might Be perfect. So they called us and that was a year and a half Ago.. His name is Teddy and is the light to both our hearts And become our little boy. We love him so. Thank you for making Our last years so delightful and meaningful. He loves us for Better or worse thru sickness and health. God Bless their caring For man and animal.....

Rescue adoption is by far the most dedicated and caring adoption agency I have ever dealt with. The underpassed and genuine approach to the cause of rescuing dogs and making sure that they are safe and end up in a loving and caring home should stand as an example of someone who loves challenges and what she does for a living! The owner, Dagmara Monsalve is one of the most knowledgable and nicest persons a rescue puppy dreams of ending up with. Her place provides medical care with standards that will satisfy most demanding customer but what really makes a big difference is hear big heart ❤️ and love for dogs. Recuse Adoption , Inc. is a great place to get a puppy from , not matter what were the dogs prior circumstances. With all the love, dedication and medical care even the most difficult cases have a chance for a new begging. I would recommend her to anybody who is looking to adopt from the bottom of my heart.
