We took my mother here for a severe knee injury today, and I am absolutely APPALLED by how she and I were treated by the staff. She was saddled with an incredibly rude nurse (unfortunately, I didnt get his name) who didnt care to give us the time of day, let alone manners or anything resembling human decency. We were forced to wait a ridiculous amount of time in triage and neglected by the nurse, who when my mother went outside to have a cigarette, laughed and said condescendingly that "she shouldnt be doing that anyway, its so unhealthy" as if he doesnt understand the concept of an addiction. Even worse, he said it right outside the curtain where I, her daughter was sitting. I was then moved back to the waiting room to sit alone with no word on where my mom was for...an hour and a half. He also constantly harped on us about how "swamped" they were -- I swear to God, I heard him say that ten times over the course of our visit. The doctor was kind and helpful, the nurse? Not at all. At the end of the visit he gave her a knee brace about 10x her size and told her "it wont fit, but take it home anyway" and "I /could/ look for a smaller one, but were soooo swamped right now". I understand being busy, and I sympathize completely, but last time I checked, you werent supposed to use that to guilt trip your patients? Hmm. I also couldnt help but notice that the care went downhill as soon as the nurse found out that we no longer had insurance, which I thought was...concerning, to say the least. Oh, yeah! Honorable mention: The sinks were really, really gross and unclean. There was a chewed piece of gum in one and dirt smeared on another, and it just seemed unsanitary. (if youre wondering if Im exaggerating, I have pictures.) Im not trying to be uncivil, but Im so frustrated by this experience. When you go to the hospital you expect to be cared about and cared for in a time of pain and need, and it added onto an already awful day when that was the opposite of what we got. I was unsettled by the lack of compassion from certain staff members and I doubt well be coming here again. (Thank you very much to the staff members who were kind and genuine to us -- it meant a lot.)

Ive been in countless hospitals before. I know family members and friends who are in the medical field. Out of every hospital in south Florida that I have been in Jupiter medical is by far the dirtiest, nastiest hospital I have ever been in. At first glance the main lobby looks like its been renovated. Then the ER was mediocre... It took 3 hours to find a room after they called us to come in. If the hospital calls you and tells you that you need to come back because they found something on the scan they know they need to find a room for you too so why did it take 3 hours? Then we (my gf) finally get to the room.... It reminds me of a 1960s building. The smell of old in the air. Dim yellow lighting. The bed is old, the pillow was worse than a motel 8. No chairs for me to sleep in. Every single room that I have ever been in had a reclining chair for a guest to sleep in. Not this hospital. So cheers from someone Stuck in a room at the moment and very uncomfortable situation. I rarely write reviews but my recommendation is if you have a choice go to another hospital. This place absolutely sucks. Since I can only write one review this is a review from 2 days after the first review. I had to run out to the car to get something. I already went through security earlier. I have my sticker on my shirt. I left the room using the elevator that was almost right next to the room. I go down and leave from the ER. I get the things out of my car and come back in. I get stopped and Im told I need to walk all the way around the whole hospital to the main entrance. I could see the elevator I need to use but instead the unhealthy fat girl at the desk tells me I need to walk around the whole building. So I walk over to the main entrance and through the whole hospital without being questioned because I ALREADY have my sticker. But the fat woman in the ER who should be walking wanted to give me a hard time. Maybe hospital employees should try to accommodate their guest. We are the ones with family in the hospital. We are under stress too. If you dont like your job just quit.

Around 7PM my mother colapsed and begun vomiting uncontrollably, she then lost consciousness. Living next to the hospital I carried her into my vehicle and sped there in 2 minutes. I cried for a nurse or help but the reception at the emergency room asked that I put her in a wheel chair myself and carry her in. Instead of rushing her into a room for treatment he insisted he get her info and admit her as if it was someone coming in with a broken nose. At this point I became hysterical, I didnt know if my mother came under some sort of stroke, accidentally poisoned herself or what. We were asked to wait because they were slammed... It wasnt until I went ballistic that they brought her in for treatment 10 minutes later all while threatening me to call the police. After giving her nothing but an IV they placied her back in the waiting room they told us to wait until a room opened up. My mother, a woman of stature, was forced to lay going in and out of consciousness for 2 hours, puking in front of other patients and in her own soil. This is the monsters that work and address patients in Jupiter Medical Center. Not in a warzone or during a pandemic. But a monday night in one of the best towns in the United States. For the amount of money we as a society pay to healthcare, doctors salaries and insurance we were treated like refuges in 3rd world country. We took my mother home that night, before any treatment or a room was assigned, and stayed by her side the entire night.

A friend of mine from New York City recently underwent back surgery at this upscale little gem of a hospital, and I accompanied her overnight in one of their concierge rooms. She did extensive research and chose Dr. Robert Biscup (originally from the Cleveland Clinic) to perform the procedure he pioneered which is minimally invasive, yet produced the most amazing results. It was some sort of decompression laminotomy, and within a day of the surgery her drop foot (sustained in NYC 4 months earlier) was already beginning to reverse! Shed been in constant pain for a long time and the MRI of her spine looked like a mess. He cleaned all the bone spurs out, freeing up the nerves in her spine, without needing to put in metal plates, and shes 2 weeks out and walking great, again. I never write reviews, but this doctor deserves a parade in his honor! Very smart, kind, and willing to take the time to explain things. Mindy, who runs the concierge services program, made our stay feel more like a hotel visit, than a hospital stay. Our private room was 2 adjoining rooms with separate bathrooms and sleeping/dining/visiting areas. And the nurses were competent and caring. The hospital had an excellent room-service dining menu, and a beautiful garden oasis I frequented. A big THANK YOU to Dr. Biscup and Jupiter Medical Center!
