I was referred by a good friend to Dr. John Van Wert, she had nothing but great things to say and it was the best referral Ive taken. I came to Dr. John in a critical situation and he immediately put me at ease and throughly explained everything and let me ask as many questions as I needed and always takes his time with you. His expertise and experience is exceptional and he has a wonderful bed side manner, that is not easily found. Im confused on the reviews about owing a deductible, which is set by your insurance company, most of us have them and we all know we have to pay them.... The office staff is always friendly and helpful! I can not say enough praises and my overall experience for needing a major surgery, was seemless and could not have went any smoother. I will never see any other Dr. and I will recommend anyone to him!

Dr. Van Wert is by far my favorite doctor that I ever had! He is extremely smart, easy to understand, and genuinely cares about his patients health and well being. This office has the best medical staff I have ever come across. They are always friendly and willing to help with whatever issue you may have, A+ in guest service. They use an idiot proof user friendly online patient portal making it extremely easy to access all of your information, appointment overviews, medical records, test results, and appointment scheduling.

Would NOT recommend this place! First off, they charged me for a $360 new patient exam of which the doctor and I only talked for 30 minutes. Would have been very considerate if they told me what a 30 minute consultation would cost prior. Then, a month later I find out Im pregnant and figure Id go there since the Doc was at least nice. Changed my mind once they told me Id have to have a new, new patient exam since I was not pregnant last visit. This place is money hungry and the receptionist is not friendly at all.

I would never recommend this place to anyone! Worst experience of my life! they are liars says I made 4 appointments & did not keep them in 1week..How is this possible? they refuse to see me after Jennifer starting yelling at me saying "U NEED TO STOP MAKING APPOINTMENTS -HOW HARD IS FOR U TO KEEP THEM!?" unbelieving how ppl talk to u like u are dirt! I tried to explain I only miss 1 appointment which the 2nd one I call to canceled but no answer! they didnt care!

BEWARE!! I called a month before my appointment to verify that they did indeed take my insurance plan. They assured me they did... Came into my appointment paid my INSURANCE co-pay and was told everything was fine. Fast forward a month later, I recieve a bill from them stating they dont accept my insurance. I would have NEVER made this appointment knowing that they didnt accept my plan. Needless to say, Im now stuck with a huge bill I cannot afford.

Dr. VanWert is the best OB-GYN in CFL. Ive been going to him for 25+ years. He delivered both my children and now my daughter also goes to him. I will not go to anyone else. He takes his time with you - never feel rushed. The office staff is very friendly. I recommend him to anyone who asks for a good GYN! to the person who says they have a medical bill --- blah blah -- KNOW YOUR BENEFITS! Blame is on you.

I have only wonderful things to say about this practice. The entire staff was quick and very helpful for my appointment from the front office to the medical assistants. My nurse practitioner Lisa spent quality time with me and answered all of my questions thoroughly. I felt welcomed and did not feel rushed and just another copay. Would highly recommend.
