I chose this pediatrician as I had heard he was accepting of non-vaxxing families and was in my insurance providers. I left the hospital with a clean bill of health on me and baby, went to this office 1.5 days later. I was nursing baby when we were called in. I never saw the doctor, just a nurse. Before even speaking about my child the nurse started telling me about how she planned to nurse but needed to supplement with formula. She told me I should start giving my breastfed baby formula and making bottles as soon as possible. Shes 4 days old and my milk was coming in that day. Strike one for ignorance and unprofessionalism. Another nurse placed my daughter on the scale, she was 7#, same as when we left the hospital, but when she read my daughters weight she was touching her hand which made her half an ounce lighter. They then lectured me about how she needs to be back up to birth weight (7,6). Shes 4 days old. They are supposed to be back to birth weight within 2 weeks of birth. Strike two. They asked about poops, she had had one in hospital. Again, breastfed babies poop much less, and milk was just coming in. The same nurse that told me I need to formula feed because she did, tells me that she needs to poop and they want to test her bilirubin. Her test in hospital 32 hours before was fine. They wanted to schedule another appointment. I seriously could not understand these people who didnt look at charts or anything on my daughter trying to make drama and issues out of a perfectly healthy baby. Strike three. I would not trust these people to care for my daughter. What if she actually had a cold!? These idiots would be testing her for cancer. Very uneducated and unprofessional. So Im leaving and go to the front desk to make this "follow up exam" which Im cancelling. And the receptionist asks me if my daughter has reached her birth weight. Before I could answer the other receptionist pipes up "No!". Excuse me? Who are you? Not her mother and not even a nurse. As the receptionist I wouldnt think shes even privy to what goes on behind the closed door of an office visit, but apparently not. This songbird likes to pipe up about other peoples business. Strike four. I was hopeful in going to this pediatrician as I wanted to find a good one that will work with my familys natural health approach and be within our insurance, but these people are a joke. I wouldnt trust them to babysit my dog let alone hold the power of the health of my child. They might be a step above the health department, and I cant even say that. The staff at the health department is knowledgeable despite the sometimes crowded waiting room. I would pass on this office.

NOT SAFE. NOT SANITARY. We have 4 children - 19, 15, 9 and NB. We took our pre-term son in for his check-up two days after being discharged from 6 days in NICU. The front desk staff were nice and informed that the computers were down so its a little hectic. I said no problem and thank you and went to my seat in the waiting room. Although I later became aware of signage, I inadvertently went to the Sick Child side of the waiting room as opposed to the Well Child side. Once called back we answered the routine questions and proceeded to undress baby and place him on the scale for measurement as requested. The staff member then began measuring and touching the baby as needed, but without having washed her hands. She left the room and came back with instructions for moving to another room for more measurements and waiting for the doctor. She continued to touch babys arms and legs as necessary to measure his length... but still no hand washing or hand sanitizer use despite having touched several door knobs. While waiting for the doctor my wife and I took note of this. I gave them the benefit of the doubt since their computers were down and perhaps off of their A game. But then noticed that there was not any soap next to the sink in our room - nor gloves. Upon entering the room Dr Farid conveniently, but sort of awkwardly, asked if there were any questions for him. So I asked him, "When and how often does your staff wash their hands with soap and water?" A bit stunned, he now decides to reach for a pump of the hand sanitizer himself and says, "We use hand sanitizer... " To confirm I said, "Although you may have just come from touching a very sick child, you will now come into this room, put a pump of hand sanitizer on and proceed to touch my premature, newborn baby!?" "Everybody just uses hand sanitizer these days", he said. I explained, "Hand sanitizer is a convenient precautionary germ suppressant in public places for use after touching common surfaces JUST IN CASE there were bad germs present, not for sanitizing your hands when transitioning between patients when you KNOW bad germs are present! When our son was in the NICU", I continued, "we were required to scrub our hands and arms with a fresh brush and sponge for 3 minutes with soap and hot water, not simply use 3 pumps of hand sanitizer as opposed to 1." As he shrugs in reluctance and turns to wash his hands he realizes that there is not even any soap by the sink. So I ask, "Do you have any soap here?" Dr Farids response as he leaves the room to find soap: "Yeah, but nobody uses it!" Me: "Were leaving."

I requested to see Kim Martin and was happy to find out I could get in the same day to see her. The front staff was friendly and was able to help me quickly. I had my child checked out and then led to the examine room. I had the unfortunate instance to have Ann Giganti see my child instead of Kim Martin. She was extremely quick and hardly even looked to see what was wrong with my child. She called in a script for my child that was an extremely high dosage. Cvs called the dr to confirm with her if it was correct but they had to leave a message. 2 hours go by and the dr still didnt call cvs to clarify the dosage. I called the dr and expressed that my child was in pain and the situation was getting worse. They assured me the dr on duty Kim Martin would call in to clarify. I didnt think I would need to follow up for them to do there job as they gave me there word. Well the dr never called to confirm. Thank god for cvs pharmacy technicians who were able to tell me the right dose and not make my son wait any longer then he needed to. I wont be returning to this office, it is unprofessional in appearance and how they do business.

I want all of brevard county to know how dissatisfied i am with this pediatric center. Dr. farid Maged acted like he did not care about my son upon his 1st visit. Walked in the room, no hello, no introduction as to who he was (i had to ask the man who was he), no friendliness or personalization to him. Accent was extremely hard to understand, had to keep asking him to repeat himself because he acted like he didnt wanna open his mouth. He was very rushed and then left with no good bye to my son at all. I was extremely pd off afterward. On top of that the spanish women that work in the reception area are some snooty behind bitches that have nasty attitudes every time i step in there and also act like they dont give a damn about u or your business. NEVER AGAIN will i step foot in this place nor recommend this pediatrician to ANYBODY! I get better customer relations at the health dept than i did here and I appreciate that..
