Cant believe the incomptence of this supposedly 4.0 rated Veterniarian office. Took my Golden in on 2/05/2014 for continual skin problems (hot spots, and growth on foot) . I was told by Dr Good that there is a new wonderful med for skin issues like my dog has had for 9 yrs.(Steroids were ineffective) First we would need to know if the growth on my dogs foot was cancerous, as the new med would speed cancer up. Knowing Goldens susceptibility to cancer and their life span normally 10- 12 yrs, I asked is there any way to check if she might have cancer, before I have the $649 surgery to remove the growth. I was then told that we would do a histopath blood test, to check and see if any of her blood levels were out of the normal range. I agreed and had her blood drawn on 2/6 Tues morn. Cost was $128, which I paid cash for, was told the blood test would be back in a few hrs, or by end of day. Called back that eve, the tech replied" yes, its back, its on the wall,,vet will contact you by end of surgery hrs that eve. Didnt happen, so I called first thing next morning, was told vet was already in surgery would contact me later after lunch. Didnt happen. I called about 2:00 was told vet had already left. Called the next morning AND lunch with the same results. Today 2-7-14 @ approx. 1:15, I went to the office for a copy of blood test. Again was told vet was out to lunch, but would call me (I said , no Ill wait.") was then told it could be an hour or more, again I said "no, Ill wait. Then, in LESS THAN 5 MINS the tech came to tell me Dr Good was back and went immediately into surgery; yeah right. My point? I paid money for blood test to help me make a wise decision about the $649 surgery on FRI and had to go down and get it myself because the vet either didnt care about my plight or my dog, enough to call me back for the lab results.Or perhaps because I didnt jump right in and have the surgery? Its all about bleeding people who love animals dry. If anyone reads this post would you please pass on the WARNING.

Absolutely the worst experience. I brought my cat in for a check up a week later after her breaking her leg. I originally brought her into an emergency clinic when the situation happened and they took X-rays and wrapped her leg and told us to go to a vet for a check up in a week. She was completely fine and healing. After her check up with this vet she came home and her paw swelled up 4x the size of her other paws. I immediately upon noticing the size called and brought her in asap. They said its hard to get the wrap right, but then again she was completely fine when the emergency room did it. So then they send her home and say the swelling will go down by tomorrow. Then the swelling didnt go down so she went back the next day then they said they rewrapped it again because it was too tight and they gave her an anti inflammatory shot and said give it the weekend and it will go down. Monday morning I bring her back livid that shes in pain and her paw is still swollen. They take her and call back a few hours saying shes ready, that they took X-rays and say its because shes biting her foot. She hasnt been biting it. They kept her over night and then say today its because shes too Mobile. She hasnt been Mobil. They keep changing the reason why her foot is swollen. Funny how that works. So were still trying to get them to fix her. Ill probably have to pay to take her someone else to fix what they did. And now Im not allowed back there. I never swore at them or yelled. Theyre just mad I keep proving them wrong. And they dont know how to fix what they did. Apparently they need to get some vet text books or go back to vet school.

MY EXPERIENCE AT THIS OFFICE... After going there with a very sick dog I thought I had found a Good Passionate Vet. I tried to get my dog in Xmas week with a "very sick" (I suspected dying) dog and they wouldnt see us & just gave me Meds and said come back on Monday if hes no better. I called Monday in tears and said I think he is dying can you help!!! "NO" was the answer I got, they where to busy, but we can give you #s to other Vets that might see you. With the love of my life literally dying in front of me by starving, they would not help me. You would think a Vet would be there for their patients in good times and bad!!! I had to search for another Vet to help me discover what was wrong with my poor Dog. The "SAD" part was he was "Dying", but Mel.An.Hospital wouldnt help me with all their knowledge to find this out. It took a "Very Compassionate Vet", who saw us immediately in her office to diagnose he had a tumor on his liver and was starving himself to death over the Holiday. If Dr. Bond had just seen us before Xmas, we would NOT have had to go through all the pain and suffering both my Dog and I went through Xmas week. Thanks for nothing Dr. Bond.

I recommend this vet to all my friends and people moving to the area and they all love this group! Their prices are the most affordable in Brevard. When we first moved here, my Golden had a growth rupture on his nose, so I rushed him in to my beachside vet we had been using. They suspected a melanoma and gave me an estimate for surgery at $1,400. I didnt have that kind of money, so I was desperate and asked a co-worker where she took her dogs (here). They squeezed us in that day, thank goodness. They confirmed the likely diagnosis and I gave them the bid from the other vet. They came back with their bid. Line by line were the exact same procedures and medicines for only $640. I was so ecstatic. They fixed my boy up and we remained faithful to this vet ever since. Even when my boy got hemangiosarcoma a few years later and had to be sent to the rainbow bridge, they were very compassionate during the whole process. We still have our cat and other Golden and we love Melbourne Animal Hospital. Do not hesitate to take your fur-babies here.

I saw Dr Carrie sherwood... I felt judged right from the beginning. My chihuahua had passed out and was not feeling well, she was bloated and I do not over feed her. All Dr. Sherwood could say is she could run $497.00 worth of test being sent out to the lab or I could put my dog on a diet. I was told the office visit was 30 dollars for the exam when I made the appointment. But was charged $38.00! I would like to know what the extra $8.00 was for? I guess her diet advice! So the next day, I brought my chihuahua to a different veterinarian he did a liver enzymes test which was $30.00.. it showed her liver enzymes were off the chart. Pointing out to Cushings disease, hence why she was bloated and having skin irritation. Which Dr sherwood didnt even notice. All she commented on as she was squeezing my poor dog was her tooting from being squeezed "stunk" really bad. Oh! And, my chihuahua has never growled at anyone Ever!! But she did at Dr sherwood and she muzzled her! Dogs always know the vibes of people. I shouldve left right then!
