I had my initial appointment there a year ago and the experience was decent, but not great. I was late for my appointment, and waited an extra hour or so, which was not their fault at all. But walking in the door is not a very welcoming experience. There is chaos everywhere, and I honestly felt like more of a number than a person. I left with my year of contacts and had an order placed for my new frames, which were too big for me when they finally arrived. The reason for the one star rating is due to my most recent experience with them. I called and scheduled an appointment. Then, I got a tear in the last pair of contacts I have. I called the office to see if they have just one pair of lenses I could pick up to get me through the next couple of weeks until my appointment. They told me they would check and call me back. I received a voicemail an hour later advising that it would be no problem, they have a trial pair for me to pick up any time. The next morning, I sent my friend to pick up the lenses for me and they told her that they couldnt find the order and wanted to know who I spoke with. I relayed the info, and they apparently came back after looking to tell my friend they havent had those lenses in stock for weeks, and probably wouldnt even have them by the time my appointment rolled around! Really?! What kind of customer service is that? Ive since cancelled my appointment and rescheduled with another eye care provider that actually makes me feel like a human being, not just another invoice. If you dont mind chaotic, impersonal service, feel free to try this place out, but with the number of people that work there, and absolutely no apparent communication occurring between any of them, be prepared for a run-around.

I got glasses from this place and my first visit was okay. The people working there were nice and very helpful. The told me they would call me once my glasses were in. They never called so I called them and they said the glasses had arrived. Once I got up there I noticed that the lens was thicker on the inside of the frame and it didnt look right. When I asked them about it they told me that is was just my prescription. I assumed they must be right and left excited about my new glasses. After wearing them for a few hours the next day I know they were not right. I asked the opinion of the others in the office and they confirmed that they did not look right. That evening I brought them back to bring up my concern. The guy behind the desk told me I had a astigmatism, which I do not, and assured me that there was no mistake. Completely unsatisfied with his explanation, I went to my eye doctor the next day and sure enough, I was right. My eye doctor gave me a note to give to the store. She told me if I continued to wear the glasses like this it could make my eye worse. I brought them back to the store and the same guy was working. I told him I had spoken to my eye doctor and they were indeed wrong. He then told me that I had explained it to him incorrectly and that is why he didnt think anything was wrong with them. I was in disbelief...I told him to take a closer look. He then tested them and then he also confirmed they were incorrect. Three weeks after I paid for my glasses, I now have them and they are finally correct.......I would not recommend them.

Went there for an eye exam. The employees seemed busy and I didnt get a warm welcome. The doctor was ok. I didnt like how he said he would write a letter on my behalf to my boss to let him know my eyesight had gotten worse for a problem I was having at work and then changed his tune and seem like he didnt want too. The girl who helped me w glasses was quite rude and impersonal. But when I picked up my glasses there was a girl who helped me that was super sweet. Took her time. My daughter had an appointment around 4pm on another day. Dr. Meer rushed her out cause it was closing time soon and we had concerns about costs so he seem annoyed and in a hurry. He never dilated her eyes which I consented too cause he was in such a hurry. No one really was there to help her w glasses. When she picked up her glasses a week later they forgot to add transitions on her lenses and now we have the inconvenience of waiting longer without her glasses and her being able to see and having to return to the store. I will not be back here next time I need an exam. Did not feel like they genuinely cared to the exception of one sales girl who was remarkable helping me.

When I initially went in for my exam I spent almost 2 hrs. In the building. I was happy with my glasses, ordered them, the perscription was wrong, had to go back and get my eyes examined again, sent my glasses off to have the perscription fixed, got a text and e-mail the next day saying they were done, drove there and found out it was a mistake, and have been waiting for a week. I called and asked the following Monday about the status of my order and the employee told me that they had not been ordered. This entire time Ive been struggling with headaches because my perscription is not correct. I went in for an exam because the only pair of glasses I had broke while I was at work, so now Im stuck waiting in misery.

1st experience was chaotic. Staff is very unprofessional. Seemed very disorganized. Waited an hour for my appointment. Had to argue with the associate that the insurance will cover my visit. I called sitting in front of him and verified that I am eligible for a paid visit (he wouldnt do it) 2nd visit: showed up at 5:36 for a 5:30 appt. Overheard the tech say that its 6 mins past to Dr. Johnson. Associate comes over and says the dr. Left and I am late. Said i was suppose to be there 20 mins prior. Advised that I wasnt told that. Stephanie didnt seem the slightest bit concerned and said he has something he has to do. Do not recommend

Horrible! Last year we went in because my daughter broke her glasses and we had just missed the warranty. Thats fine, we paid for a new pair. Recently she noticed a long scratch in the lense, I called them because its within the warranty and I thought I paid more for scratch proof lenses. No I have to pay for new lenses even though I paid $300 + what insurance paid to have all the warranties. Paid the same at Eye Glass World and got two pairs and they would fix any issues. Only ended up here cause of the insurance but I will never be back. Dont waste your time or money!

I recently just moved to Ocala and was looking for an eye doctor. I came in as a walk in to Optical Outlets and was greeted with a friendly staff. They told me I had to wait because they had to take appointments first. I agreed and stayed waited. Luckily, there was a cancellation and the doctor was able to see me. She gave me the most throughout eye exam I had ever had. Then, the staff spent a good amount of time with me just to be sure I got the frame that is compatible with my face (I have a big head). I highly recommend this place.
