My wife and I went for exam and glasses. I knew that I was done with progressives and did not want bifocals. I knew this from almost 40 years of experience and knowing my habits, but i was weak upon facing Sal, Master Optician. When he stood up, waving his arms and shaking his head saying, "No, no, no!" I caved and accepted the bifocals he insisted on. After 4 days of wearing the bifocals and succumbing to taking them off to read easier in all close up situations, I finally went back to my old progressives and played phone tag with Sal for 5 days until I left for vacation. Was really hoping to have new glasses with my wife for those amazing views. Got back from vacation and went down to the Florida Eye Clinic to meet with Sal. It was busy, but Sal stepped over to inquire of my needs, between customers. After reminding him, as if he couldnt remember all the angry, but polite, messages from me, he tried to tell me that my wife was pushing me to get bifocals if remembers correctly. I explained that he is way off base there because I lost a small fraction of my wifes respect that day for caving the way I did. Then he tried to give another excuse for why he pushed me in that direction, he saw I wasnt buying it and took my name and number to call me later. So I told him that I will keep the first set for ONE situation where those glasses come in handy, while writing on my laptop. Due to neck issues, the only way I can spend long periods of time writing is to stand with my laptop on top of the entertainment center. THAT is the only time that those glasses work for me because its at a comfortable distance for the lenses to work. I said I would keep that pair for that purpose, but I want order another pair that I would wear the rest of the time. Two pairs of glasses, progressives for my wife and bifocals for me came to just under $400. Great deal, I agree, but half of that is just under $200 and I just want distance view only, no bifocals, so Im expecting it to be around $125-$150 even if Sal doesnt add a discount for refusing to provide what I wanted and taking away from my vacation Wich we timed for wearing new glasses. No, the total was over $400. He proudly applied a 20% discount to bring down to just under $400. Standing up to the Master Optician, I re-capped the story of our relationship and said that theres got to be something better he can do for me. He said that I can put the new lenses in the frames I bought from him over a month ago and it would be free. I said that will work. Over all, the situation was resolved. I had my hopes up for a pair of writing glasses that I was still willing to pay for, but not almost $400. Sals a nice guy, just be prepared to insist on what YOU want.

The doctors are amazing. The billing staff is great. The front desk workers are rude and disrespectful. They made me feel dumb for asking easy questions. Such as, what time is best for an annual exam. Ive been going to Dr. Anan for 13 years. Ive considered changing because of how I was treated at check out.

Facility nice but some of the nurses are incompetent. I called the day prior to ask will I have a co-pay and they said no. The day of my appointment their hand was out asking for a co-pay. Luckily I had it on me but this could not have been the case for another patient.
