Referred by a coworker (Thank you M. Fleming). Took both my girls for eye exams. Called on a Sat. and took them the same day! The one that c/o issues had a stigmatism though glasses were optional and the other who didnt think she had a problem HAS to have them (go figure, right?!). They are teenage girls (one a sophomore in HS and very fashion forward, a trend setter, and the other a Sr. in HS that does modeling) see where Im going with this? Yeah! Well, we looked at frames and they loved the huge selection (Davis location) & we ordered their glasses. Staff was very kind and helpful w/o being in our way (you know how that can be). Took about 2 weeks and the older one drove them to pick them up and they wer blown away by the gentleman who adjusted them for them so perfectly. We had such a positive experience that when my HCA had built up some we went back and they picked out frames for sunglasses (can make any frames into sunglasses) and in 2 weeks had them ready and again that gentleman worked his magic! It has been 5 mos. and my girls wear their glasses all the time, saying they forget they have them on! I was so impressed I had an eye exam there and ordered 2 pair myself (one for office - bifocal for mid and close up & the other bifocal for close up and distance so I can do my phone or craft and still catch the TV screen and use them to drive). We have insurance so the $50 was off the board but I have bought glasses elsewhere and paid almost $500 out of pocket and no less than $340+ for bifocals. Here each pair only cost me almost $180. Im not sure if the buy one and get one 1/2 off is an ongoing thing but that helped on the second pairs since my insurance only pays for one pair in a calendar year. I have to wait for a year to get my sunglasses but it is soooo worth it!

My initial experience with them was good. However, it went downhill quickly after that. I posted a review on their Faceboook page and the owner reached out to me personally to try to make it right. Surely this would be a good thing right ... WRONG! The replacement glasses that he has had for less than 2 full months have broken yet again! This time the screws just fell out and you can tell that they were already altered because the place to put them back in is stripped. Glasses that are two months old do not have stripped parts, especially when nothing has been done to them since we picked them up. But when my husband did pick them up from the OWNER ... The owner had the nerve to say that I needed to correct my original posting on Facebook (that they took down) to be accurate because my information was wrong. However, when I asked him what information was wrong as I had the invoice in hand I did not receive any response and still havent to this day. I have an invoice in hand that totals around $500 dollars that is charged between me and my insurance. Now I am out even more money because I have to pay out of pocket to get new glasses because the ones I purchased here ... are junk! They need to learn customer service and actually get quality product in. I will never step foot and spend more money in one of their locations - especially since I have the paperwork to back up what I stated and I have never been called a liar by a company before - Just for stating the FACTS!!

Bought the Groupon expecting an awesome deal and basically just got a cheap eye exam. When I went to the front to buy frames (to which the Groupon gave me $150 toward my purchase) the bill still was well over $300. The customer service was there but as a previous customer, when they first opened, I was really disappointed in the price. I ended up going down the road and getting two complete pair (including feather lite lenses that my prescription requires, scratch and glare proof lenses) for about 1/3rd the price. I hope their prices become competitive again.

We had a great experience getting my kids eye exams before school. Everyone was so courteous and friendly. Stephanie was so helpful and explained everything. She even took time to teach my son (who is 4 and was getting glasses for the first time) how to take them on and off properly. She made sure to find a pair that fit his tiny face perfect. I cant wait to go for myself!

I have been wearing glasses for many of years and NEVER had the experience like I had at the 50 Dollar Eye Guy. By far the best frame selection and the HD Transistion lens I bought are the "best thing since sliced bread." They have the best customer service EVER.......I will be back and I WILL TELL EVERYONE TO GO THERE FOR THEIR EYE CARE NEEDS!

I have bought glasses and contacts with Fifty Dollar Eye Guy for years. I have always been welcomed and treated like I was family. The staff is friendly and the prices are great. I always recommended my family and friends when I know they are looking for any eye care needs. One of my favorite things is they under promise and over deliver!

This place is a hoax. If you care about your vision DO NOT trust this doctor. Call around, even without insurance there are many other true professionals for CHEAPER. I made the mistake of going here because it was conveniently close. Dont be like me. If you want to improve your eyesight go elsewhere.

My husband just got glasses at fifty dollar eye guy and was blown away by the amazing prices! A couple of prescription glasses along with prescription sunglasses for less than weve ever paid elsewhere! He said everyone was nice and wonderful!
