Dr. Mole is great but Im not at all happy with their new practice of taking pet patients to a back room, out of sight of the owner, for even the most routine procedures like vaccinations and exams, after I expressed concern to them about a ham-handed vet tech who had to make five attempts to vaccinate a cat (puncturing the skin every time, then drawing the needle through unsterile fur, finding a different spot, and piercing the skin again with the now unsterile needle, multiple times until she got it right). The poor cat was in pain for days afterward; the first time in 30+ years that Ive ever seen an animal in obvious prolonged pain after a routine vaccine. Rather than retrain the tech or hire someone competent, their solution was to simply hide what they do now, so the pet owner can no longer observe what goes on. Ive spoken to someone else who has noticed the same new policy there with her animals recently, so its not just me. In addition, when it comes time to pay, there is always some attempted price inflation that occurs between the exam room and the checkout desk, unless I firmly remind them of the amount I agreed to (and signed for) just minutes ago in the exam room. Like I said, Dr. Mole himself is fine and seems knowledgable enough. His office policies, however, should raise red flags for anyone. Every instinct I have tells me this is just not right. I checked around and found this on Vet Abuse Network: "Be careful about allowing the vet to remove the pet from your sight during an office examination. Unless your dog is the size of an SUV, there is no reason your pet cannot be weighed in the exam room. Many vets now have public weighing stations where the owner/guardian can see the weight for themselves. Same goes for temperature-taking, general examination, injections, or any procedure that can be performed in full view of the guardian. Dont hover or get in the way of the vet or any staff member, but be wary of any vet who consistently takes your pet "to the back" to perform routine procedures that can easily be done in full view. If a vet will not allow you to remain with your pet during routine procedures (or within sight and sound of your pet if being with them is not feasible), ask yourself if you want to stay with that vet. You are entitled to witness how a vet handles your pet during an actual examination, not just someone who talks baby talk to them in your presence, seems like a "nice guy," and then scoops them up to take them out of sight." Im following my instincts and looking for a new vet now. Sorry, Dr. Mole.

7/26/16 Its been about a year +/- that Dr. Mole has been taking care of my two - 1 year old kitties - Harry and Houdini. Both are VIP clients (Great Deal!) - both have lifelong, genetic health issues requiring prescription food, supplements, etc. Weve had to try a number of food options for Harry for his digestive and dental issues. Dr. Moles staff has been great keeping track of what has worked and what has not. Both kitties are happy, healthy (as can be) and silly little boys! Thank you (again) Dr. Mole and staff for taking care of my "Mr. Men!." ;) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is my second review, the first one raving about the quality of care "Little Boy" received. Unfortunately, he passed away on May 20, 2015 at nine months old of FIP. The doctors and staff had the tissues handy for me. I also lost my 13 year old BabyGirl, five days before getting Little Boy. I now have Houdini, cute as a button, now four months old, funny and a bit wacky (like me - lol) Anyway, Houdini had his first vet visit a few weeks ago and, once again, great service from the whole crew! 10-22-15 Ive seen some reviews (dont remember where exactly) that are very negative in nature. What Ive learned from reading them is that they are from long before Dr. Mole set up practice. Its unfortunate that they even exist because they are basing their opinions on a business that no longer exist. In fact, I used to drive by there myself, thinking Id never take an animal there. Then, one day I noticed a new sign, paint job on the building, repaired parking lot, etc. It is literally 5 minutes from my house. So, I looked at the current site and found that everything is new, inside and out. Since the loss of my two kitties earlier in the year and the adoption of little Houdini, I now have another kitten, Harry. Now Seminole Animal Hospital and Pet Resort have one more kitten to take care of. My kittens have had some issues and we have visited the vet a number of times. As usual, fantastic doctors and staff !

I brought my two kittens in to get treated for tapeworms and figure out what medical routine I needed to start for them and my experience was exceptional. I called to make sure it was fine that I brought them both at the same time and the receptionist was very helpful in answering all my questions and I was able to get an appointment for the very next morning. Once I got there I didnt even wait 10 minutes before I was let back into an exam room and I was seen by a vet tech very quickly too which is nice since most vet offices Ive been to Ive had to wait for hours even with an appointment. The vet tech was very friendly and great with my kittens. She also answered my questions to the best of her knowledge and any she didnt know she let Dr. Mole answer. As for Dr. Mole, he was fantastic! Very personable and patient with all my questions as a first time cat owner. He helped me figure out the best plan for me financially to help me make sure my kittens got the best care and that my college student bank account wasnt emptied. I will absolutely be bringing my kittens back regularly!

I called this office looking for a new vet ( recently relocated to lake mary area) for my two dogs. A very rude and abrupt woman named Natalie answered phone and asked for me to hold. After 5 mins she came back to phone, I inquired how much they would charge to perform surgery for a aeral hematoma on my dogs ear. She said she had no idea, that I would have to see the dr to determine price. I inquired is she could give me a ball park on the price.... $100 or $1000? She asked me to hold, after being left on hold for another 6 mins....I hung up. I called back, it rang 11 times before sending me to the operators voicemail. I called again and asked for the office mgr, only to be told she wasnt there. I would never bring my beloved pets to an office that is so poorly run and more interested in making money than caring for animals ( or its customers).

I am very picky when it comes to care for my dogs. I brought in an old lab that we rescued from Seminole County Animal Services and I was immediately impressed with the receptionist and Dr. Mole. You can have a great vet but a whacko staff and that has a direct effect on your pet. A great vet needs a great staff and Dr. Mole is building this. Dr. Mole spent time with my dog and he spent time giving me a tour of the facility and explaining his plans. I felt that he listened to me in regards to my dog and he listened to me on suggestions I had for him going forward in the future. He also has talked with TEARS and that is a huge plus in my book. Give Dr. Mole, his staff and his VIP plan a chance. I think you will be as pleased as I was.
