I have a terrible anxiety when it comes to dentists. Since I was a kid I had a string of bad experiences with dentists, ranging from having to go through a procedure feeling everything because I was given a sedative immediately before starting the fillings, to having the wrong color fillings put in my front teeth, and so much more. No dentist before Dr. Kalra ever took the time to top and talk to me and make sure that I was being taken care of. I knew Dr. Kalra was different when I went for my initial visit and before even looking at my teeth he sat me down to get to know me, about my work, school, and most importantly my experiences with past dentists. My first time there he fixed a cap that my previous dentist had put in which was too large so that my jaw would close correctly without charging me anything. Working with Dr. Kalra over the last year I have felt a lot more at ease and know that if I have any pain or discomfort he will immediately stop and address it before moving on. I have had several fillings done, he actually replaced my fillings that were the wrong color so I felt like I could smile again for the first time in years, and he didnt ever push me to do more than I was comfortable with in a single session. I recently came in for having my wisdom teeth extraction. Even though I have gotten quite comfortable with Dr. Kalra I opted to use sedation for the procedure just to ensure that I wouldnt have any issues with panic. When he gives injections of Novocaine I barely feel it, and he was so accurate with it that when it came time to actually remove the teeth I felt no pain at all. In fact I was so comfortable through the procedure I fell asleep and they had to wake me up to finish the last two extractions. I was amazed at how easy they made the whole process. I was so anxious about it for weeks beforehand, but in the end the whole thing turned out not to be worth all the panic at all. On top of how amazing Dr. Kalra is, his staff is also wonderful. Manny recognizes me by name whenever I call and knows exactly what I am calling to follow up on before I say anything and without having to look me up in his system, and his assistants who have worked with me recognize me when I come in and follow up with me on past work theyve done for me to make sure everything is still going well. I could go to another dentist and probably get the work done a little cheaper (only because Dr. Kalra is not in my insurances "preferred" network) I would never go to another dentist. He is the only one who makes me feel comfortable and who always ensures I feel as little pain or discomfort as humanly possible. Anyone with a fear of the dentist, trust me, after one session with Agoka dental you will forget about all your anxieties.

The first thing I noticed at Agoka Dental USA is a sense of organization throughout the facility. It starts off with a personal phone call from the dentist, Dr. Kalra, the evening before your first visit. When you arrive, you are given a tour of the office, which is exemplary: high-tech equipment, up-to-date computers, clean and sterile room, panoramic & CAT-SCAN x-ray equipment, soothing patient room décor, and on and on. In my case, Dr. Kalra performed a gum surgery because my previous dentist, apparently, didnt take the time to sufficiently clean an infected area in my gum, causing it to continually get re-infected and eat away into the bone. Dr. Kalra came in to fix that, and I can say, after several months of healing, that he did indeed fix it all up. But first, he was meticulous in doing my fillings, taking special effort to seal them with a coating so they would last longer. Dr. Kalra comes across as being more concerned about ME, than getting on to the next patient. I say this because of the hours he spent cleaning out this inflamed area, preparing for the bone implant. And he obviously spent way more time getting it perfect than either of us had anticipated--at no extra charge, by the way. As an aside, I waited three months to write this recommendation to make sure the results came out okay. Yes, the infection appears to be gone, and my recommendation stands. I honestly believe that Agoka actually loses a little money every now and then because they are ethically motivated to do whats right. So, how did I choose Agoka Dental USA? I am a friend of a dentist who has worked with Dr. Kalra and many other dentists in the Tampa Bay Area. When a dentist recommends another dentist, I think youve got something there. I have not been let down. To finish, I note that I was invited to a Patient Appreciation Event organized by Dr. Kalra for his patients. There, I met several Tampa Bay area physicians who took the time to attend this event, which I found to be pretty impressive in and of itself. Dr. Kalra does their dentistry. These doctors comments and recommendations reverberated as to how meticulously careful this dentist actually is: They universally praise and respect Dr. Kalra and his work ethic. They reinforced my already high regard for this dentist. I do too highly recommend Agoka Dental USA based on my personal experiences with the dentist who runs the show, Dr. Kalra. I have not seen anything even close to this in the dental arena. Ergo this detailed review. Greg Caminiti

I am so amazed by the quality of care and treatment I have received at this office!! The entire staff, every single person in the office, is incredible. I came in for my appointment in pain, embarrassed, and terrified because my previous dentist had done work that was beyond horrible. From the moment I walked into the office, I was treated with incredible compassion and respect. I was taken on a tour of the office, introduced to the staff members. There was an evaluation to just talk about what I was dealing with and what I would like my teeth to be like ultimately. In the chair, Dr. K was cheerful, professional, polite. He took his time and explained everything to me, made sure I was comfortable. I never felt like he was in a rush to finish and get me out of the office. The work he did is night and day different from what I was dealing with before. The staff members checked on me later that day and the next to see how I was doing. I cannot speak highly enough about this office or Dr. K. The best commendation I can give is that I recommended this office to my dad and took him there myself. He was in excruciating pain, and Dr. K took great care of him. When we walked in, the staff recognized me and greeted me so warmly. This part I think says it all: when your insurance does not accept Dr. K as a provider and youre willing to go into your own pocket to pay for your care up front just so you can keep seeing this dentist, THATS when you know youve got an excellent provider. Thats what my family has with Dr. K and Agoka Dental. We wont go anywhere else.
