My husband was brought into the er by ambulance on 9/11/15, because of numb legs and not being able to stand or walk and was in very bad pain. I got there about 10 minutes later and my daughter and I were allowed to go back to where he was. He was on a bed pushed in the hallway, which I understood because they were pretty busy. A male nurse came and gave him 2 shots in his iv which the ambulance had given him. About an hour later the doctor came strolling down the hallway with his hands joined behind his back and said" are you ready to go home". They tried to force him up but he had so much pain he couldnt move. The do said nothing and walked away. The nurse came and shot him up again. An hour later here comes the doctor and repeated himself " so cheif ready to go home"? This time he tried several ways to move him. With no luck again. This time the doctor stated " well we have to get you up and going, you cant lay here ". I stated to the doc how was that going to happen because he can move. He walked away. Here comes the nurse again. After this time I asked my husband if they did an intake on him.he said no. Well at this point I noticed all the rooms were empty, and at both nurses stations there was laughing and talking and eating going on.I finally walked to the station where the doctor was. There was a nurse standing next to a computer. I asked her what was going on with my husband, I told her that no one had asked his medical history, asked if he was on any meds, take his bp resperations nothing was done. She said that she had done it and showed me the computer. It has an old address from 5 years ago. I told her that the info she had was from 5 years ago, and now I know why he was being treated this way was because 5 years ago he didnt have insurance. She stated that they had done his vitals. So I asked her if she was calling my husband a list. She stated we have even done a cat scan. I said oh no you havent. The doctor finally came around the counter and asked well what do you want me to do. I said I wanted him to be treated like a human. And that he was being treated this way from them thinking he has no insurance, but if they had done their job right they would know he had excellent insurance, and I want him in a room now and to receive proper treatment. The doctor got rude and told me I was over reacting. I asked him if he knew my husband had a 4 way bypass, a stroke, a vascular disease in his legs. I told him your shooting him up with all the drugs without knowing this or knowing what meds he was taking. He said that muscle relaxer and pain meds wont affect his heart. I called him aquack and asked him if he thought I was an idiot. Well they had him in a room and hooked up to everything took his medical history but still hadnt asked for his list of meds. They did a cat scan, but still tried to get him to go home. When it got to be about 3:30 am the doctor addmited him. He got upstairs at 6:00am. I have am seeking an attorneys advice on how to handle this. .

Avoid this hospital at all costs. I will say that the nursing staff was excellent. My mother had diverticulitis which was diagnosed long ago. The disease started to act up and she walked into the hospital on her own accord. While she didnt want unnecessary surgery, she just wanted whatever was the best treatment. She apparently was misdiagnosed and developed a large abcess. 2 of the 3 doctors didnt want to operate. The surgeon told us he was on vacation that week and as incredible as it sounds, I just kept thinking that he didnt want to operate because it would upset his vacation. 17 days later they finally forced an operation. My mom looked far worse on her last day than the day she walked in. She did EVERYTHING she was supposed to do, but the doctors didnt want to operate and kept delaying it for no good reason. She was supposed to have surgery by Monday 11/21 then they didnt. Then it was supposed to be on 11/23 and they didnt operate. Then it was supposed to be on 11/25 and the surgeon never even bothered to show up. Finally, my mom forced them to have surgery on 11/27 (they were still pushing to have it on 11/28). But, by then it was too late. And she died thru surgery. This was supposed to be no big deal. The surgery generally has a very low mortality rate. She did everything she was supposed to do, but she relied on the doctors to diagnose what was going on and to recommend surgery within time. She wasnt afforded that and she died. Prior to that she suffered thru a ton of pain. Again, the treatment wasnt working and they kept delaying it. By the time she had to have surgery, a different surgeon had to perform the surgery as apparently the 1st surgeon was too busy on vacation. And you could tell by the 2nd surgeons recommendation that it would be a miracle if she survived this surgery because it was too late. Im not a vengeful person and I dont write up bad reviews. But, in the spirit of my mother she would tell anybody within an earshot to stay away from this place. Go to Ocala or Orlando or Tampa. Do not go here. And if you are 55+ years old and are in the hospital for diverticulitis, you need to go on the offensive and elect for surgery and get it as soon as possible instead of waiting for the doctors and their conservative treatment. If the first piece of conservative treatment doesnt work after a couple of days, DEMAND for surgery. Dont expect the doctors to be right. I wouldnt wish this pain that my mom, myself and my family have been thru on anybody. Again, she did EVERYTHING she was supposed to do She was in good health and only 65 years old. And now shes dead.

This hospital is the worst experience ever i was sent there by my doctor because i had pneumonia for a week and i got there around 4 clock in the evening they never ask me once for any of my information none just toke me back and put a IV on me gave me the wrong last name and told me the clerk would fix it thats not his job but again my name was wrong and they thought i was was someone else than about 2 hours later after being left in the waiting room before i finely went up there and ask the clerk what was going on she fix it for me ! Went back into the waiting room and 7 hours before a doctor would even see me it was going on 2 am in the morning!!! people in the waiting room was complaining that they had been there since 11 am and 2 pm and it was going on 2 am really wtf what the hell is going on there this is insane!!!!!!!!And once again the doctor finely walk in the room and had no idea why i was there ? really after my personal doctor sent papers and called the hospital 12 pm earlier that day ! Not to motion that the doctor dosnt give his name nor does there nurses have any name tags on ? Dosnt ask you very much i mean nothing spends about five minutes in the room listen to my lungs says your not breathing to good in the right lung? but than doctor says oh your blood work came back fine but i dont no why your white cells are so high really any real doctor would no if you have lupus sle than starts saying well you dont have pneumonia xrays look fine and then says i dont what your Doctor or waterman hospital was looking at maybe they dont no how to read xrays out loud =really not noing i had the CD from my personal doctor no mr. Maybe your not a real doctor or a emergency room either! than he starts yalling my personal business out loud so everyone can hear it in the waiting room and around you seriously! This place is a joke i quickly sign myself out against my well and guess what folks you dont half to wait around for that !!!!!! The doctor was reading off someone elses xrays not to motion and before i tryed to leave wanted to explain just stop no thank you i knew it was wrong cause my personal doctor did xrays early that day and i had the CD of it and if you have pneumonia earlier that day your gonna have it later on in the day as well i had my own personal xrays CD to prove it!!!!!Again please dont go here if you need serious help anyone who needs real help go somewhere ELSE dont waste your time here this emergency er needs to be reported Im looking into ways to fine out how !!!!!!!!!
