This is in reference to the behavioral health center only, as the actual hospital is an entirely different subject. The front desk people are loud, incompetent, and either stole or lost my possessions. It was pitifully easy to escape their "quiet room" on multiple occasions, and in the course of just a two-day stay I was able to amass an entire drawer full of contraband and weapons with which I could harm myself or others should I choose to do so. The actual RNs are overworked but genuinely try hard, which is difficult for them and everyone else in cases where dementia or Alzheimers is concerned. Their psychiatrists are a joke. The first, Dr. Hebig, prescribes ECT for the vast majority of cases that cross his desk; no great surprise when you take into account that he has a vested interest in the local ECT clinic. Dr. Kent, to whom I spoke most often, wanted me to pray with her several times and directed me to a number of paid programs focusing on meditation and pain-management which have been disproven as quackery on many, many occasions. Though still focused on suicidal behavior, they discharged me on the basis that there was nothing they could do for me further. Upon my discharge, the administrative nurse finally filled out all the paperwork she shouldve done when I arrived and then handed me their booklets with treatment plans, rules, regs, etc that wouldve been of use when I first got there. Finally, the facility itself is falling apart. It reeks of neglect and abandonment, and if you werent mentally ill going in, you sure would be coming out.

On Tuesday, 6/21, we had a very unfortunate visit to the ER. About 4:00 p.m. my dad arrived from "the Brennity" memory care division. He was unsettled and trying to hit and yell at the workers there. For the next 3 1/2 hours I sat there and communicated with the staff. He arrived "wet" and after several requests for help, the nurse "Shannon" did not respond. The police man was wonderful in helping my Dad change into dry clothes. My Dad is a big strong man and there was no way I could help. My dad also required help 2 more times to urinate in a plastic bottle. Still no help! Long story short, medication given to my dad at the Brennity settled him down and he was able to have dinner before being taken back. I called his dr who prescribed medication to be administered more often. The ER nurse couldnt accept a call from his dr on my cel phone, so the dr call back through the IRMH ER dr. on duty. Basically it was a 4 hour nightmare for me. My dad needed help! The only help I received was from the cop and the call I made, from my cel phone, to dr. Director. The hospital put us in a room with no tv, no assistance, and no help moving my Dad from bed to chair etc. It was horrible!! The friendly cop wins the award for service and the nurses should be awarded for standing by and not doing anything!

WORST hospital Ive ever been to and I have been several in the US. Waited 7 hours and when i was called back, they sent to another room to wait. Once someone showed up, they gave me basically gave something for nausea. I told them I wanted to seen by a real DR or nurse and given the propers meds and was pissed you made me wait while my BP is rising from the condition I was in. Then I got some fat nurse in room with mysterious white stains. I was very concerned and told her this was dirty and possibly infectious, she didnt care. I dont even think she washes her hands in between patients. They also wanted prego tests, CAT scan, all things that were absolutely not necessary, just driving up taxpayer costs as well as my ins. They also do a SS # pull on you without your permission, which I almost sued them for. She gave a small amount of the med I needed and I didnt push for more bc, even though it did not help me fully, it was 2am and I had to work. COMPLETELY FILTHY hospital that should be investigated.

This is the WORST hospital ever. My Grandmother has been in and out of here a few times only because of the location and the fact that she is not able to drive to a real hospital at the time. She cannot function properly because of her health and this "hospital" not only is trying to send her away and tell her to just go home but is telling her they have no solution and they are completly rude to her constantly. I fell like the only reason this "hospital" is still in business is because of the location and some people cannot afford to drive to a real hospital. This place is a joke and the people that work there are in need of real training so they can actually do their jobs and not bullsh*t the people that go in there in desperate need of help! I would tell anyone in need of help to keep driving and go to the next hospital so they will actually get the help they need. This place needs to go out of business so people can stop wasting their time here and get actual help that they need!

Being in this hospital was one of the worst experiences in my life!!! I was in the emergency room from 1pm -9pm, finally got a room at 11:30, they kept me there for 3 days waiting for surgery that kept getting bumped, they ruined 3 blood tests and had to take more blood each time, they had to reset my IV 3 times, the first one got dislodged from the vein and my arm blew up in a lump the size of an egg( this could have been avoided Im sure because the person who set it said " I dont like the look of this, the vein is crooked", the second one was in my hand and some nurse assistant tried to take my blood pressure at my wrist? and blew the IV right out of my hand!!! when ever I had to hit the nurses call button I could here them bitching about it from down the hall, (Im sick not deaf) .Other than my 2 nurses "Christin" day and "Keya" night who were both wonderful, kudos to both of you, and thank you for actually caring about your patients, they whole thing was hell!!!

Went to the ER with a severe pain. Asking for urgent help because of the pain... lady told me that I had to wait because they were several people in front of me... begging for help because pain was awful... She didnt care... I told her that I was in need to see a Dr right away... A nurse was there too, listening and she didnt care, only showing bad manners, treating us like ignorants, etc after arguing with them another nurse help me, but I had to deal first with 1st nurse before she was in charge to take temperature, etc but totally unprofessional in front of my 11 years old daughter, being rude with me, sarcastic. I think that people like this, they dont have to work in hospitals and neither in a ER. I feel hurt for the poor and unprofessional service I receive, for the way I was treated in front of my daughter. Even though people are before than others, they should use knowledge, compassion, etc in order to make a decision who needs urgent help.
