My father was sent there by his physician at Palmetto General Hospital. When we read their brochure, we were convinced and excited because it seemed as if Promise was designed to meet his needs. So we thought that this place would be ideal for him. Well, he passed shortly after being there, and while we cant say anything bad, we are concerned because they wont sign the death certificate. Weve called the doctor, to no avail. The personnel at the funeral home has made countless attempts on our behalf. NOTHING. As of today, THANKSGIVING DAY, November 24, 2016, its been 23 days and NO ONE from Promise has taken care of this very simple item. All they need to do is sign the death certificate online. While our family will always grieve this major loss, as he was a great father and provider, this delay is causing us unnecessary stress. Why isnt Promise Hospital communicating with my family? WHAT A HORRIBLE WAY TO TREAT A GREIVING FAMILY!!! I hope this review encourages Promise Hospital, the doctor and owner to sign the death certificate. I also hope that this helps someone else in the future. If things improve, I will be sure to share any positive interactions with Promise in an updated review. Until then...proceed with caution. UPDATE.12/8/16...So my family did receive a call from the administration from Promise Hospital on Monday morning after Thanksgiving. The call came as a direct response to this review. Thank you Promise Hospital for caring enough to read and respond promptly. Your immediate action helped us to get my fathers death certificate on the following week. With that I have improved your rating. However, your response regarding the doctor who was treating my dad is awkward. That doctor is a representative of Promise, regardless of their employment status. My father was treated in your hospital by that doctor. I work for a multi-million dollar retailer, and we employ associates and contractors, who assist our customers seven days a week. Customers do not know the difference, because we have trained and authorized our contractors to act on our behalf. If the contractor provides poor service, we take full responsibility for it. What I am hoping, is that as a result of our experience, Promise would create a process to ensure that ALL death certificates are signed within three business days. Anything less is UNACCEPTABLE...regardless of the doctors employment status. ...Remembering that a hospital should treat those left in their care as PATIENTS, NOT CUSTOMERS. Thank you again. I hope this post helps the hospital to improve, and is helpful to anyone who reads it.

I never write reviews but I felt the need to write one for the Promise Health Miami Lakes LTAC. My Mother Eulalia Alonso, 84, was there for weeks then was transferred to a Rehab , then went back to Hialeah Hospital and now is currently a patient of Promise. I have never experienced such wonderful, warm, caring staff in all the time my Mother has been under someone elses care. The location is new, beautiful and very intimate. The staff took care of my Mom with such personal care and grace. I feel so blessed to have chosen this place for a very difficult time in my Moms failing health period. There are not enough words to express our gratitude and appreciation to Promise Hospital and their team. Administration Staff, Doctors, RNs, Respiratory Staff, Therapy Staff & Nursing Assistant Staff. I couldnt ask for a better place, I wish all the hospitals would have such exceptional care, kindness and attention during hospitalization. We have been through a transition of 3 hospitals in Hialeah and Promise is a blessing for any patient. I could start by saying THANK YOU to ALL but I like to mention some of them , RNs, Jacqueline, Arianna, Jose Cajigues, Osmel, Michell, Julio, Zulema, Joel, Jose De La Cruz, Peggy ; CNA, Antonia, Elizabeth ,Ibis, Iraida, Gloria, Tania, Eric, Ophelia, Yeinet ;Respiratory: Jorge ; wound Vanesa, I know I’m missing some of the names but overall my brother and I would like to say THANK YOU TO ALL. Keep up the good Work!!. Jorge Pintado-Alonso & Rosa Ortega-Alonso

I can honestly say that I dont understand the bad reviews. My dad was admitted with an infected amputation from his surgery in Hialeah. These nurses and staff have saved my dads life. The constant care, the kindness from these nurses in the ICU and the nurses on the floor are amazing. Vanessa the Wound Care Specialist has helped heel his open bedsore which he got from being neglected at a rehab place in Miami Gardens. I have been through a transition of three hospitals in Hialeah with him and I must say, Promise Hospital is a light at the end of the tunnel, a hope for us. From the moment you step in, you feel safe, you see new beds, new rooms, and to my dad the most important, a wide variety of channels where he can watch his baseball. This staff has earned my respect, from the nurses, cardiologist, wound care, infection care, even the lady who cleans and the one who brings in the food. The constant care from the day shift, these amazing ladies that come in and change him, feed him when we cant be there. Its too much to say, but there will never be enough "thank yous" that can I can say. If I should ever need a non emergency hospital, this is where I want to be attended, I couldnt ask for a better place. Thank you nurses, cardiologist, wound care...everyone who has been so kind and compassionate to my dad and most of all my family!

My husband stayed in Promise Hospital for 2 weeks. All personel are very friendly! We have some dificulties to understand each other since all stuff speak in Spanish. The food was very good for patients and in cafeteria. There are a lot of things that need to be improved as not enough aides to help the patients. You will need to stay with your loved ones to help them to get help with turning, washing and changing the beds, getting ice and water, etc. I think that the simple thing as putting the ice/ water machine directly on the main floor will save time of CNA and patients. Many people from hospital were amazing, thank you Marissa, Alervis, Peggy, Paola! Special thanks to pt herapist Chantal Sanchez & Christian Alvarez!!! These guys are from GOD! They created all special atmosphere for my husband as putting his favorite songs before and during the pt. therapy lifting spirits, mood and giving him hope for future. We saw improvement evey single time after their amazing job!
