I recently went to this LensCrafters and I will NOT be returning. I first went in because I needed a new pair of glasses. I had a prescription that had not expired, so I came here. That experience was fine and I had no problems at all. So, i was thinking "I think Ill come here from now on". I spoke too soon. I decided to go back and get an eye exam for contacts. I was very clear with the girl at the desk as well as the doctor that I was only here to get an exam (because I hadnt used my benefits) and to get my contacts prescription. I told them this when I first arrived, more than once, so if this wasnt going to be able to be done, then that was the time to tell me...correct? So, to make a long story short...at the end of the appointment, all of a sudden their telling me that the doctor wont release my prescription. Mind you...had I been purchasing some from them that day, they would have had no problems releasing it. Then they claim, well since they are gas perms thats why we cant release them. So I say "Fine, just give me the soft lens prescription then." Then all of a sudden it was, well we cant give you those either because we havent seen you in those. My problem is this. If I told you right out of the gate what I was here for, then why would you not tell me from the beginning that you would not be able to give me my prescription? First of all, its illegal to even withhold a patients prescription. What they were really trying to make me do is order from then because she then said, well you can come back in January (thats when benefits start again) you can use your benefits to order and then you can get your prescription. Had I been ordering from them, none of this would have ever happened Im sure. At this point, I would rather get myself another exam and pay out of pocket than give this LenCrafters ANY additional money. I have worn contacts literally for over 20 years and I have NEVER had this problem at all. I will not return here.

We made an appointment and were able to see him right on time. He was thorough and personable and you can be sure we will be seeing him again.
