This place looks good from the outside, but inside is a facility that has poor nursing care and the beds are dirty. I am a nurse and I took my father there when he was recovering from bypass surgery. I was just appalled at the very start of our experience there.Upon arrival, the staff acted as if noone knew he was coming. An aide finally put us in a room, after 45 minutes no nursing staff had come into his room, so I tried to get a nurse....found one...she gave me attitude. ..said the other nurse was at lunch. I saw one other staff member in the whole place. .you can tell this place is poorly staffed. After noone seemed interested in helping us, I went back to his room and figured I would put him in the bed myself. I atarted to put the head of the bed up and there was blood and food on the bed rail. The sheets were nasty as well. About that time, an aide came in and brought lunch. which was a barbecue sandwich, fries and an ice cream. My dad is a diabetic and just had bypass surgery....and the facility had orders on him...so they knew. At this point, we had been there an hour ...still no nurse. No telephone or tv in the room...which tells me someone must steal them. At this point I decided I would not leave my dog in a place like that. So we left..without telling anybody. They had his telephone number on his admission papers....you would think when they found him missing they would call...noone called us. The next morning I placed a call to the administrator. ..she said. Oh we were about to call you. Omg...seriously! ! I filed a complaint with the state. The care and staffing here is awful. If you just need a place to dump someone and you dont give a damn about their care...this is your place.

Absolutely the worst place to put your loved ones. My great-grandmother was put in for a short five weeks just for rehab after a broken hip. They have not taken care of her at all, or communicate with our family about things what were going on. Her sugar levels (which were stable before) were all out of wack. We were told by her doctor to ask the nursing home Doctor to run a specific test, and they did, but never did anything to help with the infection. When my family demanded her go to the hospital, she was severely dehydrated. She will not be returning. We sent her there in good faith for therapy on her hip, and they did not take adequate care of her at all ! Please if you love your loved ones, dont put them through what my grandmother has been put through.

My Father-in-law has been at Grandview Health Care for about a year now. I cant praise the staff enough for the wonderful care and love they have shown him. Unfortunately, he is not doing well; the staff is treating him with dignity, has been excellent with their caring ways with him and outreach to the family.
