I dont have anything good to say about this place or the care my family receives. We have had Kaiser for about 5 years, and have had one ridiculous experience after the next. I do not feel that we are receiving quality healthcare. I could complain for days about this place! For instance, the revolving door of PCPs makes it impossible to form any kind of relationship, so were always seeing a stranger instead of someone who understands our histories. The Drs that have been there the longest are not taking "new" patients, so we get stuck with the new people. Then when I go to the PCP, that Dr refers me to other various departments, depending on my health issues, but no one is following up or looking at my whole health picture. If my symptoms need different specialists to work together to formulate the individual care I might need, it seems to me Im out of luck. No one seems to be looking at my overall symptoms and health...they just rotate me through the door, take my co-pay, offer me medicine or a referral to a different department, and send me on my way. Zero follow up. No continued care. Oh and those specialists are usually booked up for several weeks, so there is never immediate care for any real issues you might be having. Once you finally get in weeks and weeks later, its not like anyone is using your test results to discuss your overall care, or trying to connect the dots to get you well. Googling my symptoms seems to be more effective for figuring out what might be wrong with me. Especially after having to wait like a week or more to get your results in the mail! Thats right, they use snail mail to send you test results. Had an X-ray because you think you might have a broken bone? Yep, youre waiting several days to find out, while they mail you your results!! Ridiculous! Mammogram results? Snail mail! Lab work is the only thing that gets emailed, but dont expect anyone to call you to discuss the results! Also, my husband has had to complain to his employer several times, getting the Kaiser liaison involved, in order to get any kind of responsiveness to his healthcare needs. Funny, as I sit here typing this, I have been on hold to speak with a nurse, for literally almost 2 hours. And then when someone finally came on the line, it was just someone taking calls for the nurse. I have to wait another 4 hours for a call back from an actual nurse. Ugh.

I am 50/50 if you go pack food and drinks your in for a long wait! Were a family of 5 and I have seen primary care all the way to arthritis and behavioral and the Dr. All have a terrible bedside manor they are rude and could careless minus Dr. Barnette with behavioral she is lovely. The waits are long! You wait to check in then wait to be called then wait for labs then wait for Pharmaceutical its redicilous. My general Dr. Basically told me I cant possibly be correct about my condition and was in and out of my room 4-5 times only to say well see what we can do when your medical chart does arrive he also ordered labs and didnt tell me! Parking is horrendous. Even with prior medical history they act like your a lier and refuse to do anything for you until they have all of your records transfused even with my medication bottles in hand and if you make the mistake of crying because your in pain or frustrated they tell you you need to see behavioral health your depressed! I did not get to discuss increased dose or changes, constipation and getting my form done for the handicap plackard or anything else! So far I am not thrilled. I would also like to add that the Dr. Has no authority the plan your on dictates what u can and cannot have. I waited over 3 weekes for two of there facilities to get my sons medication hes been on for years only to be told it would be well over 100$ per month to fill it where I had to go back to the Dr. And have her change it to AorB because the insurance will only offer those 2! I refuse to go to the Cumberland location again the staff here is better but all of the dr. Minus one so far are horrible including a pediatrician who scared the life out of my 6 yr old trying to demand she remove all of her clothing!

For last 3 months I have been trying to get my the proper care she needs to recover from a bad bus accident. Always problems there. Either you up there all day and nothing done. Or you will be over charge for fees you know nothing about. 1. Wife did mammogram, nurse called said it was normal. Get there today to get pain and now doctor said it something there. It could be cancer!!. This serious and the doctors and nurses cant get it right. On top of that my wife is beginning to have problems walking. Fear in few months she wont be able to walk. Tried to get her medicine for the pain. Last time they gave her medicine. It made her dizzy spells and she fell. I am against stronger than aspirin ,however the pain she going through what can I say. So we tried to get her something for pain. Where do go to doctor and take a drug questionnaire. My wife dont drink ,smoke or get high. And then after that he still wouldnt give her medicine. I was shocked , just to belittle a person. We left out seen supervisor and to make a long story short . After threats of legal action she got her oxcodone or whatever. Not much but enough to buy me some time to switch insurance so she can get the proper care. I cant fool around with them while my wife conditions get worst. Furthermore, we will seek legal action. They Tried to offer alot free stuff, even paid for medicine. Sign of guilt, must stop letting these insurance companies rob people blind.

Edited: I will be switching insurance companies as soon as possible. The way Kaiser is set up is terrible and frustrating, in addition to hiring incompetent doctors. Totally ridiculous that I cant go to an OB appt. and get my ear checked in one visit. Instead, I have to make a separate appointment and go to a different department and be at the facility for another hour. In addition to paying another $20 co-pay even though I was in for the SAME issue a week ago. So $40 because some idiot Dr. Cant properly diagnose an ear infection. Totally ridiculous! And no amount of calling member services will change that. Also, make sure you keep track of your own health needs. Example: I just happened to realize at 36 weeks pregnant that I hadnt had a tDap shot with this baby yet. Theyre supposed to offer it at 28 weeks. So I mentioned it at my last visit, and the nurse said they would do it. They did a bunch of other stuff, and I forgot about it. On my way home I realized they still hadnt given me the shot! So in I went this morning to get it. Also, I have hypothyroid, so I have to have my levels checked fairly often. The midwife forgot to order a free T3 lab (very important), so I had to ask them to order it when I went in the next week and get my blood drawn again. So, you cant rely on them to be on top of your care.
