The medical community as a whole has took a hit over the past few years. It is no secret to anyone the financial cuts that have been made from both private insurers and goverment funded plans. The cost to run a medical facility has continued to rise. Medical malpractice insurance has increased as well as supplies, lab and other diagnositic cost have increased. The support staff, ie., nursing staff, front office staff, insurance, billing and referral staff must still be paid salaries. Utilities and facility expenses must be paid. All these expenses continue to rise and must be paid in order to provide care to the patient. Physicians are expected to diagnosis and treat patients in less time and be paid less for the visit. I appalaud the privately owned physicians office that are still able to maintain in this economy and offer their patients an alternative to a long wait at an emergency or urgent care clinic for an increased fee. This office as well as many fine other privately owned medical offices are much more likely to treat you as an individual and to take a personal interest in your health than a corporate or government owned facility. I,as my family will continue to support these offices and the fine job they do in managing my health care needs. I think the Physicians and support staff at this office does a great job in caring for patients!

I went here the other day for a high fever, cough, and trouble breathing and pain in the right hand side of my cheast. I explained all of this to the nurse. The doctor came in didnt even intorduce himself - didnt even speak but stuck a swab down my throat for a strep test. About 30 minutes later he came back and said that the strep test was negative so I wasnt contagious. Go take this over the counter medicine and feel better. I told him I couldnt breath well but he didnt listen.. walked out of the room. The next day I went to anther doctor because I was much worse and found out I had pnemonia. Way to go doc! Since when is Strep the only bad thing you can have. Dont go here because they have bad patient care and they are only about the money. You can see this plain as day by all the signs that say no perscription will be refilled unless you come in for a visit. And they are one of these offices that want you to pay an administrative fee...What the heck! Your the doctor .. pay your own medical staff.

I have never seen such a dirty, uncared for facility. The walls are filthy, the trim is missing, and I expect much more from a medical facility. The doctor I saw was extremely un-personable. I would post his name here, but he never even introduced himself. I saw him for 2 seconds to swab my throat and to tell me my tests were negative. I literally had to call after him when he made his swift exit down the hall way to ask him how I got out of that maze of rooms and even then he seemed irritated. The nurse (also un-introduced) was not exactly competent either. I was there for a high fever and she took my temperature right after a chugged a bunch of ice water & had a freezing cold rag on my face - of course the temperature under my tongue was not registering as a fever! I left there knowing I had some sort of virus, but I could not tell you if I am contagious because they never let me know. Overall, I am very unsatisfied and I will not be making any future appointments at this office.

I have been using woodpark for 15 years and love this office. Dr Katopes has been in woodstock longer than any other doctor and will remain my top choice. Most of his staff has worked with him for 10 + years which is a good sign he must be doing something right. I really like to know that the doctor who is taking care of me is someone who will be around tomorrow instead of these doctors who come and go all of the time. I love the hours 8-8 who could ask for more!! The staff is very caring and kind but also real people who I can relate with. Keep up the good work Woodpark!!

I recently moved back to the area and I was so happy to see some of the same faces from before. I am a big fan of places that make me feel like family and this office is great about that. From the front office to the doctor and staff, I felt really cared for and I will recommend my friends, family, neighbors to this office. Woodstock is a great city and Woodpark Medical is a wonderful doctors office.

Everyone I met at Woodpark was friendly and very professional. My visit was better than expected. I have already made my next appointment.
