UPDATE: I went to see the oral surgeon on 8/21/17 for a consultation because I have received excellent service from the orthodontist and dentist. I felt like I could trust this place. However, my visit with the oral surgeon was completely the opposite. I feel like he wasnt taking my concerns (and the concerns of my PCP who referred me to see an oral surgeon in the first place) seriously. I have been suffering from thrush like symptoms (white/yellow furry plaque on tongue), misshapen tongue, and enlarged bumps on the back of my tongue that havent been going away. The oral surgeon wasnt listening to me when I said that this is new and has never happened to me before. He very rudely and condescendingly dismissed it as normal and something that maybe I "never noticed." I had invisalign and after that retainers for about the past 4 years and gave never been more cognizant of my oral hygiene. I tried to tell him this but he got more upset as I asked more questions. Finally, I just said, "Ill get a second opinion." Very arrogantly he replied, "You can get a third a forth opinion and they will say the same." I told him, "Well, well see." He stormed out angrily. Very unprofessional and Im glad I never have to see him again. 1st Family Dental needs to provide this man with some type of customer service/anger management training. This review will go elsewhere for people to see. Avoid seeing their oral surgeon. The dentists and orthodontists are lovely and they should be the only people you see.

Dr. Duaibis and his team did a fantastic job with my orthodontic treatment. I got the standard metal braces; their work was fast, careful and precise. On and off in 2 years flat. The experience was very pleasant and positive, and Id highly recommend Dr. Duaibis for adults considering braces. I trusted him with my 51-year-old teeth and he and his staff did a beautiful job! The front office folks are nice too - Nicole is a standout. The one comment Id make is that in general, the women assistants worked more smoothly and expertly than the men, who sometimes seemed a bit nervous by comparison (their nerves rubbed off on me a little), but this was not a big enough deal to affect the overall rating. Also - I had an outstanding experience with Dr. Velano due to needing 2 teeth extracted during the braces treatment. Id never had an extraction before so was understandably nervous. It was a cakewalk, thanks to Dr. Velano. He had two molars out before I realized what had happened. Definitely seek him out if you need teeth pulled!

I feel very fortunate to have randomly selected this practice- I hadnt been to the dentist in a long time, and as a result, my teeth are not in great shape, but Dr Ahmed and the staff took the time to explain exactly which procedures I would need and exactly how much it would cost me, and helped me build a plan that would allow me to get all the work I needed done without breaking the bank or emotionally scarring me. Dr. Ahmed was very kind and understanding, even when I acted like a huge ridiculous baby while she took care of my worst cavity. Im honestly looking forward to my next visits to finish all my dental work. Ive only been once, but unless theres a huge, drastic shift in everyones attitude between now and my next visit, I think Ill be a life-time patient of Dr. Ahmeds!

Ive been to a lot of dentists in my lifetime. Too many probably :) Ive had some great dentists, and some bad (like really bad) ones. Im very happy to report that the folks at 1st Family Dental are among the BEST Ive been too! So far, Ive had two appts with Dr. Ninos, one for a cleaning and initial exam, and another for a cavity. Both times have been WONDERFUL! He is very professional, personable, informative and made me feel at ease. I literally just got done with my second appt with Dr. Ninos, and it went off without a hitch! I have some more work that needs to be done, and will be VERY glad that it will be handled by the VERY capable and professional Dr. Ninos and the staff at 1st Family Dental!! TOTALLY RECOMMEND!

Dr. Aboud has the best Dental Offices EVER!!! 1st Family Dental did an excellent job on the work I needed done. They are so nice and very prosfessional and great at what they do. The waiting time and the service was excellent everything was so perfect. I highly recommend 1st Family Dental to anyone in need of dental work. It really doesnt matter how small or how big the dental work needed thats where you should go to have it done. The Doctors, Dental Assistants and staff are truly amazing people and very kind in all aspects from the second you walk into the Dental office. Thank you guys so much !!!!!!!!!

By far this organization is the best dental organization in Illinois, dentists and staff go above and beyond to make sure their patients are comfortable and treated with dignity and respect. I call them THE PAINLESS DENTAL TEAM and give them 5 *S*A*R*S* Clinics are equiped with digital filing systems that is up to date with the newest technology, paperless, clean and friendly, most importantly, PAINLESS. I promise you they will always do a great job, no matter how busy they are they wont rush your appointments. Their locations are expanding, to make it convenient to get to your dentist. Dr. Abboud, is one of many of their great dentists. All of their Dentists will treat you nicely and always listen to you. If you come from a different country and you dont speak proper English, there are many different culture dentist who can help you.

I switched recently from another dentist for convenience at first. But now I am very happy with the service and staff. Very friendly!! pricing more reasonable , ( and they dont use the scare tactics that my previous dentist seem to revert to, like saying I had a puss pocket by my tooth, in order to get me to have a deep cleaning (dont you think my gum would be bothering me?) And the mouth cancer thing? that is all scare tactics.)

I have been getting dental services with 1st Family Dental for 19 years. I have been taken care of by different dentist and I have always been well taken care of. The staff are very friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. Every dental assistant I have seen has taken good care of me as well. I live very far from this office now, but the travel is well worth it. Thank you all for taken such good care of me.

I arrived early and was able to be seen early, which I love! I was out in 30 min. The hygienist explained everything that was going on in my mouth and offered advice that was really helpful. The Dr. was fast and friendly in sharing necessary info and checking my teeth. LOVE that the chair also is a light massage chair. Plus, Mulan was on in the waiting room - whats not to love!?

Dr. Park is the BEST! No really, she is! I am scared of the dentist and she caught on to that and made me feel at ease about the whole thing. She might not be in the Elgin office anymore but that hasnt stopped me from going to the Chicago office just to see her. Thanks Dr. Park and 1st Family Dental staff for the awesome job you all do.
