I discovered Village Eyecare about 2 years ago for my husband and I to try as we were not happy with our old place. When we both met Dr. Sarai for that first time, we knew that we both had found someone that we could trust and appreciate. He not only cares about you and your eye health, but also even on a personal level tries to get to know you. I have always appreciated it when doctors take the time to get to know you even better than just what you are there for specifically. It makes you feel important, valued, and cared for versus rushed and just another patient to check off the list. In the time that we have been going here, they have redone their storefront which is beautiful inside and the reception is great about answering all of your questions about insurance and helping you with what suits your needs the best. They also have parking spaces, which makes it a lot easier than trying to find street parking.

The doctors here helped me after a very painful eye injury. They were prompt, professional, and informative. If youve never had an eye injury then you should thank your lucky stars! It is frighening and confusing. Im grateful that Village Eyecare was able to assist me at midnight (!) over the phone and then first thing the following morning. Appointments were easy and on time. The doctors visits (Ive had three so far) were amiable and directions were very clear. As a side note, I Love how fashionable everyone on staff is. That may seem superficial, but its just the type of superficiality that I find righteous at a doctors office! I visited both the Hyde Park and University Village locations, and I was quite pleased, even inside of my discomfort caused by a painful eye. I plan on spending some hard-earned money on a new pair of glasses from them as soon as Im fully healed. Go see these folks!

My husband and I chose to go to Village Eyecare because of the excellent reviews it has as well as how close it is to our home. We really love the University Village location. Theres plenty of street parking around, and they have a small lot in the back. Everyone is friendly and accommodating. The only reason I wouldnt give a 5/5 is because we waited so long during the two times we went (annuals). On our most recent visit, my husband and I were there for over an hour. The actual eye exams took about 10-15 minutes each, but I found myself waiting around in the exam room. Overall, though, we love the staff and Dr. Sarai, who is always so knowledgeable and friendly.

The office is clean and modern, and I loved the coffee & water station setup. I really didnt like the long wait time (I was waiting for a total of an hour, and spent 2 hours at the office). They also tried to overcharge me $45 because they didnt do their math right or didnt know what my insurance covered. Luckily I had brought in my insurance paper that listed coverage amounts, because otherwise I wouldnt have been able to challenge them on it. They need to train their outgoing receptionist staff better. They do get three stars because the eye doctor was very helpful and listened to my eye history to make the appointment go faster.

The first time we went was for our 6 yr old daughter who desperately wanted glasses. They did several tests. And in the end recommended we wait Im getting her glasses because the prescription was just slight. They didnt try and talk us into them. They were all very friendly and no one lost it while she was trying in glasses. It was so positive I returned for myself. I received the same kind informative treatment. And they really took the time to explain what my insurance covered so I could get the most out of my visit. I am very happy and now I will send my husband too. Would definitely recommend!

My wife goes here yearly, we chose this place as its close to the library and other shopping places. The neighborhood is very friendly and there is usually parking available on the street. They do have a few spots in the back of their office so if you cant find a spot stop in and ask. They are really good at preventive care and diagnosing symptoms. My wife has had eye problems for years and she is always hesitant to go to a new place but after experiencing this place many years ago, she now goes yearly and I do every couple of years. The staff is awesome and the eye doctor know his stuff.

The staff at Village Eyecare is extremely friendly and helpful. There is minimal wait time to be seen by the doctor, which is something I definitely appreciate. Dr. Sarai is far and away the best Optometrist Ive had the pleasure of seeing. His friendly demeanor only adds value to his immense wealth of knowledge. He even took the time to send me a personal email wishing me luck in a new career I had mentioned during my visit. I started coming here out of convenience because it was close to home, I will continue seeing Dr. Sarai long after I move.

I have been going to Village Eyecare for three years, and I cannot speak highly enough about this office! The staff is friendly, knowledgable and proficient. Dr. Sarai is definitely the best-I completely trust him! The time I get to spend with him is educational, friendly, efficient and I never feel rushed. Plus, the office has the newest technology, a great frame selection and provides great hours. Thank you Village Eyecare for being such a great team and providing me with the best care. I look forward to my appointment every year!

I recently had my first experience at Village Eyecare, and will not be going to another optometrist in the future if I can help it! The front desk staff were extremely welcoming, and helpful, and very attentive to any questions I had. Dr. Sarai was very thorough and great. Eye exams are usually very uncomfortable, but Dr. Sarai made sure to explain everything he was doing and checked quite often to see if I was comfortable or had any questions. It was an excellent experience - I highly recommend Village Eyecare and Dr. Sarai!!

I had an emergency with my eye late in the evening. I tried calling many other places which were no help. Even though I was not an existing patient I called an left a message with Dr. Sarai. He called me back within a short time and scheduled to see me the next morning. He put me at ease and performed a thorough exam. I appreciate all that he did to make sure my eye problem was quickly seen and remedied. I will be sure to tell all of my friends to see Dr. Sarai for any eye care needs.

.Dr. Sarai knows what he is doing. I have never felt more comfortable working with an eye doctor. I went in there after reading some of the reviews not really knowing what to expect, but I can say this, the negative ones are not to be trusted. I was given professional treatment from the staff and doctor. From the minute I walked in the door, I was treated like a loyal customer. They properly diagnosed my eye problem and had me walking out of the store eagerly awaiting my new frames.
