I first went to Dr. Nir two years ago when I adopted my first kitten. At our first visit Dr. Nir was concerned that my kitten had FIP, a rare fatal disease. He was the only vet to diagnose him correctly and was incredibly compassionate through the entire process and encouraged me to do whatever I could to make Wrigley comfortable in his remaining months. When I adopted two cats after Wrigley passed I took them to a vet recommended by the foster home I adopted them from. After two months with incredibly sick kittens I decided to go back to Dr. Nir. In the first visit he diagnosed them with respiratory viruses, gave them the correct antibiotics, and noticed they had ear mites. The other vet never diagnosed them correctly after five visits. Within a few weeks they were back to normal and I swore I would never go to another vet. I live 40 miles from Dr. Nirs Naperville office now and I travel the full hour to make sure my cats get the very best care. Dr. Nir is not only incredibly compassionate with animals, but he is also extremely knowledgeable. The prices are way lower than they should be for such amazing services. Trust me, Dr. Nir is a one of a kind vet that your animal would be lucky to have!

Dr. Nir and Mariann provide high quality, compassionate care for pets. We have been taking our dogs to them for the past four, almost five, years. Most importantly, Dr. Nir and Mariann provide a friendly and quaint environment in their vet. They truly know your animals and that kind of patient-doctor relationship is hard to find these days. They are always flexible in scheduling appointments and are able to email bills, receipts, summary statements, and lab work which is nice for electronic keeping. Dr. Nir is very friendly with the pets and our animals enjoy him. He takes his time to answer all questions thoroughly. Mariann is knowledgeable about behavior training and always gives us good tips and insights into training our dogs. We recently lost one of our dogs to cancer and they guided us through the process with extreme knowledge, sympathy, and expertise. They informed us with all the information necessary to make informed yet compassionate decisions during such a difficult time. Mariann even drove to our house to drop the ashes off when they were ready. They go above and beyond and are highly recommended!

In November of 2007, we were looking for a new vet. Our beautiful little Gatsby had a large ulcerated tumor on his front left paw. Through my husbands goddaughter, we met Dr. Nir. Dr. Nir took our little Gatsby on as a new patient immediately. We did not know if our little guy was going to lose his leg until Dr. Nir performed the surgery. Knowing we were terrified, Dr. Nir gave us the same great care and comfort as he gave to our dog. Through his expertise he was able to save Gatsbys leg and bring him back to his normal wonderful self. We are so grateful to Dr. Nir for being the most caring, loving and compassionate vet-- not only to his animals but also to their families. We highly recommend Dr. Nir for anyone who loves their pets and wants the best in pet care and services. We are so very grateful to him and so thankful that we found him when we did.

If youre looking for an intelligent, caring, and compassionate doctor, the Vet-Net is the place to go. Not only knowledgeable about standard pets, Dr. Nir has a great handle on other exotic wildlife. I am very impressed with his concern not only for our animal friends, but for their owners, as well. The best Ive encountered over the years. Also, Marianne his trusted receptionist/vet tech/ and all around person who can help you with anything is very helpful with your animal related questions. She can provide you with a lot of animal related behavior advice, especially with dogs. Between the two, they make the Vet-Net a great place to bring your pets.

I highly recommend Dr. Nir to all. He corrected a surgical problem caused by another area vet (and that my regular vet, a surgeon, said could not be fixed). The environment at his clinic is quiet and was relaxing for my stressed cat. I was able to sit with my cat while recovering from the surgery. This contributed to the success of the surgery since my cat needed to remain calm in order to accept the splint on his leg (the key to his healing). Dr. Nir responds personally to his clients and follows up. He also takes care of small animals that others wont bother with. He truly cares for all animals and will do well by you and your pets.

Dr. Nir and Marianne are very special people to me personally. Dr. Nir is probably the most wonderful and compassionate Doctor that I know. They listen to your concerns, they never rush through your appointment, their always very accomodating and helpful. Dr. Nir is a special man and I adore him as does my dog Bonehead. He feels comfortable with him completely and I know if I need something fast, Dr. Nir is there to do whatever he can do to help my dog. This truly is the best VET for your animal you could ever want to find!!!! They always have good candy in the office to :) Eileen

Dr Nir and Marianne have kept our 2 dogs, 2 African Greys and 2 cockatiels healthy and happy. They always make time to provide the best care possible, and we have come to view this practice as an extended member of our family. It is rare to find such personal service. We can rely on being provided with all the resources we need to keep our pets as healthy as possible, and are touched by the compassion shown when a pet is sick. I would not hesitate to recommend this practice to anyone who cares about their pets and needs tools to provide them with the best life possible.

Just got a Newfoundland named Zoey. This is the second vet I went to after a bad experience with the first. They were very friendly and very sincere in their concern for the Zoeys health. This is my first dog, so the vet spent twenty minutes with me discussing a general health plan and what I should be doing to protect her health. The receptionist was very helpful during the scheduling process and spoke with me for another twenty minutes after the appointment concluded on training and health issues. I look forward to seeing them for Zoeys next appointment.

Before meeting Dr. Nir, I brought my dogs to several other clinics. I can confidently say that Dr. Nir truly is the best. He and Maryanne work so well together. You can tell they care for your pets and your own well being too. Ive been taking my dogs to Dr. Nir for 3 years, but I have friends who have taken their pets to him for over a decade! When my dog, Charlie got sick last year, Dr. Nir gave us all of the facts we needed to know. The atmosphere he and Maryanne create is very comforting. Its great to know there is a caring vet out there!

Dr Nir and Maryanne are patient care oriented!!! Maryanne is the forefront girl that takes care of business from the perimeter and many functions from within; while Dr Nir carefully handles the animals as though each and every one were his own! They work very well together to bring out an A-rated and classy place- all you animal owners- you can put your loved ones in their hands- they will take care of you and your pet!!!!!
