We had a very poor experience with this vet. We were in search of a new vet for our dog and located Animal Health Care P.C. through an internet search. We were impressed with all of the good reviews but sadly disappointed with the care we ended up receiving here. The vet spent a long time with us and our dog during the visit but most of this time seemed to be wasted. He seemed to be more interested in our lives than the health of our dog. The final bill for the visit was well over $400 (our previous bills at other vets for very similar services have been around $250 to $300). Additionally, the next day the vets office called us and informed us that our dog was infected with Giardiasis and needed to be treated with medication. We picked up the 7 day supply of medication which cost over $100. After doing some research online we discovered that we could have gotten the same supply of medication for around $35 through another source. We contacted the vets office and requested to return the medication for a refund or credit to our account (as we had not yet opened the medication) and explained that we had found the same medication cheaper through another source. The vets office would not let us return the medication or refund our account any money. The woman on the phone was actually very rude during the entire conversation. I would not recommend this vet office. If you do go here, prepare to have your time wasted and be overcharged.

Clean and well organized, professional in attitudes and practices. My cat, Wholerye, boarded there in pleasant cattery space, which is separate from the rest of the facility with its own closed door (Astoundingly, Ive seen boarding spaces in the same room as care tables ... can you imagine a more frightening thing than to have your pet boarded where it can hear/see/smell others in pain and fear ? ). Wholerye had a very sensitive stomach and required specific feeding and medicating. Im told the vet called the staff together and reviewed my page of written instructions and advice with everyone.I looked at a half dozen facilities and this was by far the best for cats. I recommend you make your holiday reservations early as they may fill up ... please be courteous and let them know as soon as you know if your plans change. Hours vary with the day of the week, be SURE you know them.

My Fiance and I adopted a dog back in January from a kill shelter. She was infested with worms and parasites from out-of-state. Dr. Bishop saved Lunas life. She is now a healthy and happy dog. Each time I take Luna in she is so excited to see him she barks and howls! She loves Dr. Bishop and the entire staff. Each time Im there I learn something new. The staff is so knowledgeable and helpful and they really take the time to educate you. Last week I was shown how to properly clean her ears and I even got to look at test results in the back lab. I drive the extra 20 mins to this location even though we are just down the street from two other vet clinics. I would recommend everyone to this veterinarian. He is so great with our dog and I know shell always be in good hands.

Dr. Bishop and his staff are knowledgeable, caring, compassionate, and thorough. They make me and my lab, Dakota, feel at ease. Dakota has an extremely hard time with vaccinations. We know the benefit of having her protected, but she has allergic reactions to these vaccines, and therefore we need to make special accommodations. Dr. Bishop and his staff are cognizant of this, and have taken the time to devise a plan to make her as comfortable and safe as possible so that she still gets the protection of the vaccines. They all go above and beyond to make sure that we receive the best care possible. I do not hesitate to recommend Animal Health Care, P.C. and Dr. Bishop to anyone that needs quality care.

We started boarding our dogs at Animal Health Care as well as having regular vet care for them here when we moved to Naperville from Texas 2-1/2 years ago. Dr. Bishop and his fantastic staff are kind and caring, very thorough, and take the trouble to get to know each patient. The dogs NEVER object to walking through the door of the clinic, which shows what a great place THEY think it is as well. I would highly recommend Animal Health Care, and I am so glad I found them as a newcomer to the area.

My pets have been patients of Dr. Bishops for over 25 years. I have never had a bad experience. The rare occasions when my pets have needed more specialized care, Dr. Bishop gave us excellent referrals. On our most recent visit, my 15 year old English Setter was cared for with respect for her pain and special needs. Devin is a wonderful assistant and I always feel confident that my dog will be safe in her care. They took care of her needs quickly so she wasnt too stressed.

I received a coupon for vaccinations which I thought would be helpful but in the end I received a bill that was way over! Then the doctor told me that my pets needed to get extra tests done which would cost additional money. I brought my pets in to a different clinic for a second opinion and there, the honest vets said that my pets were fine, like I thought they were. Would not recommend Animal Health Care to anyone who cares about their pets.

Several weeks ago we were faced with the decision to say a final goodbye to our pet cat, Skeeter. She became ill several months previously. The.staff at Animal Health Care provided us with a wealth of data on her condition, which allowed us to make an informed decision with no regrets. Throughout the entire process the team provided compassionate guidance that was very much appreciated.

My dog is fearful. His fear manifests itself as aggression when we are away from home.Dr. Bishop and 3 staff members carefully and gently worked with him to get him through the visit. They always make sure we dont have to encounter other dogs and/or people when we enter and exit the facility. This reduces my dogs anxiety (and mine) as well as prevents other clients from being startled.

I had a great experience here. Dr Bishop was very thorough and explained everything In great detail. He is up to date on current literature and showed me updated evidence. I was so pleased with my first appointment for my dog. This was a much better experience than my previous vet experience. I actually saw the doctor and for a long time! I highly recommend Animal Health Care!

Dr. Bishop and his staff provided attentive care to my Rufus and to us over the past few weeks. Everyone in the office responded so quickly and compassionately every time we called with questions and concerns. We know he was in the best care! Our hearts were touched by their kindness and sympathy on the day he passed. One staff member told us he prayed for Rufus.

We wouldnt trust anyone besides Dr. Bishop to take care of our Boston Terrier. Dr. Bishop is caring and concientious, meticulous and thorough. He cares about the animals and people. Our dog had a rare condition requiring surgery. Dr. Bishop resolved the problem and thankfully found and fixed his hidden health problem! Friendly and professional staff too!
