DO NOT LET THEM FILL YOUR MEDS THEY PRESCRIBE YOUR PET AT THE VET!! THEY ARE RIPPING YOU OFF! The vet visit itself was rather pleasant. The technicians were very sweet to my dog, calmed him, and handled him well. He received plenty of pets and treats while waiting for the vet to finish his work. Upon my first arrival, I walked into an empty clinic. Despite two ladies behind the counter, I was not at all greeted or acknowledged. I figured out on my own to begin filling out paperwork from a clip board near the counter. Once completed, I took to the desk, just to be informed they would be leaving for lunch in 10 minutes and we couldnt be seen for over an hour. I wasnt pleased with that answer, but proceeded to take my pooch to pets supplies down the street for a bath while we waited. Upon returning, we were seen rather quickly and as I previously stated, had a smooth check up. We were instructed from the vet that my dog would be starting three medications for his condition. I was never once offered a paper script or informed of the cost of any of these medications. I handed the lady my credit card to pay for the visit and proceeded to get my things together. After walking back out to the front counter, I was handed my card, paper work and medications and did my best to get my 126 lb dog and 5 year old to the car quickly so I could go over the paper work without getting drug around the waiting room. Once I got to my car and realized the OUTRAGEOUS amount I was charged for an oral steroid and antibiotic I was livid! TEN TIMES the price I would pay cash at my local pharmacy!! The other medication was a vet medication, so I have no problem eating the cost on that one. I called the vet office immediately after getting off the phone with my pharmacy, mind you, I"m IN THE PARKING LOT, LESS THAN 10 MINUTES AFTER I LEFT THEIR DOOR, and Im told their is absolutely nothing they can do and I cant walk them back in the door. Its one thing to make a profit on something, but to literally ROB your costumers is APPALLING! I work very closely with many pet owners in the area and have told many of my patients, in the past, of the great pricing for visits at this location. Let me just say, that has absolutely stopped and I have been referring my patients else where and warning them of these medication costs. I absolutely WILL NOT be back to be robbed some more. My business will be elsewhere. Greatly disappointed.

Id give it no stars if I could. My first issue with this place is they only ever have one doctor there so if its somewhat full in the waiting room, that means youll be waiting there for an hour or so. The first time I went, I was there for two hours.. Just for an exam. The second time I went, I purchased a $65 puppy pack, and I was told by one of the employees that this puppy pack included the rest of his shots and wormings. Well when I went to get him his last shot and worming, they told me that would be $64. I explained to them that I was told it would cover the rest of his shots and wormings, that was a lie clearly. They told me theyll charge me when I go in to get him his rabies shot. Well when I got home that day, I looked at the sheet that had all their prices on it. The $64 puppy pack that they were trying to charge me for included distemper shot, lepto, and worming. Well they only gave him his distemper and worming. So they tried charging me for the lepto when he never got it. My last complaint is they dont even know much. They know very minimal. I asked about my dog possibly having allergies and hes also been coughing on and off. They told me "his collar might be on too tight"... I checked and I was able to fit two fingers between his collar and him. They didnt give me any logical answers of why he might be coughing. If you want cheap, and dont mind to deal with any of the complaints I listed, then go here. Otherwise, Id recommend staying away.

This location and their affiliate Big Red Barn are so wonderful. The Pet Vet clinic is so convenient for the basic everyday animal care like shots, routine exams and nail trimming. When more extensive service like surgery, spaying or boarding is needed, the Big Red Barn is just across the border. The staff works at both locations and has access to all of the records, so they have every thing they need in front of them. We have boarded our two dogs, a little lab mix and an English Mastiff with them a few times when we have had to go out of town and they are always happy to see the staff. The Vet at the clinic also gave us great advice for calming our lab, who has severe storm anxiety. I could go on and on, but bottom line is that you can really tell they love the animals, and the staff has been wonderful and caring every time we have been there.

Every other time we taking the dogs there they vet has looked them over and told us if there was anything that needed to be addressed. Today we took our four dogs in there and I asked her to look at something on one of our 4 dogs and she was like well you know thats somethimg else insinuating that its not part of the package. I said OK fine Ill take them to Lansing word where I take my dogs for anything outside of their shots When I get home I found an old receipt from a year and a half ago for five dogs and now Im paying about $70 more for four dogs a year and a half later with less care. I need to get a vet in there who cares about animals and not just about money

I LOVE this place. I have a Jack Russell Terrier rescue who loves people but is fearful of getting shots or his nails clipped. The staff is wonderful and caring individuals/professionals who have helped my Jack through a lot of problems. I would highly recommend the Pet Vet for basic nail clipping, shots, minor problems and the Plum Creek facility for dental surgery and other procedures.

Waited over 2 1/2 hours for shots. We were told this is a walkin business. People who came after me got served. We were told they got names mixed up. We were next and someone else got serviced. Extremely poor customer service. Disappointing not servicing dogs in a timely manor! Very stressful for the dogs.

Awesome!! The staff was great with our dog. Duke (100 lbs) enjoyed his visit and gave us little if any problems, due to staff handling.
