I first chose Aspen Dental based on the Google reviews in conjunction with their hours of service. Aspen Dental has been fairly flexible with the appointment times as well. Even though I work 30 miles away, I am still able to get appointments for just after work. Additionally, the staff has been very friendly in both phone and face-to-face interactions. I have not come across one unpleasant person at this office. In my experience, I arrive at the appointment time and am greeted and taken to the dentist chair within 5 minutes. I noticed quite a few people indicate they are sat in the dentist chair and watch TV for a half hour. This is also my experience but I would like to amend that this is immediately following the anesthetic injection. In my opinion, I love that they are allowing the anesthetic to go to work before starting the grinding in my mouth. Being able to watch any number of Directv channels while Im waiting for the anesthetic to take effect is a bonus. The procedures (fillings and cleanings) are fairly straight forward and in my opinion, good value. The staff has never been condescending despite my nine cavities and last cleaning being several years ago. They seem to acknowledge that your presence means you are looking to solve the situation and they give you the tools to do so. Never any judgement - just solutions.

For years I stood by as my teeth slowly deteriorated. Finally, due to discomfort and appearance, I decided to go to the Aspen Dental office in Coralville, Iowa. During my initial visit I was made to feel welcome and comfortable. After a complete exam, Dr. Eastman took the time to carefully review my case with me and presented different treatment options. I decided that full dentures were the best option, treatment steps were fully explained, costs were presented and the beginning of my treatment scheduled. This was all done in a very timely manner, but I never felt rushed or pressured. Throughout the process I have always felt that the staff at Aspen Dental has had my best interest at heart. Anytime Ive had questions or concerns, they have encouraged me to call or come in. After my first visit, Ive always been greeted with a warm smile and welcomed by name. Ive been very pleased with the work done by Dr. Eastman and his staff. They are always careful to keep me informed and accurate in their descriptions of what to expect. One "side effect" that I feel deserves note is that since by decaying teeth have been removed, along with the accompanying infection, my overall health has improved markedly. In short, my experience at Aspen Dental has been top notch...and to borrow a phrase...I feel like "Ive got my smile back"

Well were to begin... First and foremost I am not comfortable when every chair in the office for seating a patient has a flat screen tv. I dont go to a dentist to watch tv, I go there to get my mouth cleaned. Also they over-exaggerated my situation and tried to sell me expensive tools for my teeth that werent even necessary to begin with. I had to go in to pick something up and apparently I had to schedule an appointment for that, where I ended up waiting an hour so that the doctor can use scare tactics on me to state that if I dont get my tooth fixed, then it will rotten. The lady from the billing department asked me to pay for 70% of all the services upfront without even submitting the claims to my insurance. I have to say the bill was in the thousands range and I didnt feel comfortable dropping that. I ended up canceling all the services but one, and now I received a notice from my insurance stating they owe me money. Not pleased with the service or anything really. Do not recommend! Be aware of all this before you make your decision!

Wish I could take away stars. You are a commodity to these people. Went in and knew I had impacted wisdom teeth. Despite telling them the issue and stating I was in pain they insisted on examing my entire mouth probing gums and all. After putting me in more pain, they proceeded to tell me I needed special cleanings and tacked it on to the already 1800 cash they wanted just to get me to their oral surgeon. Then tried to coax me onto a payment plan with 14 percent interest. My teeth are still in my head and hurting. I called them again today, (spoiler alert bad idea) and was told Id have to pay 55 bucks and get a full exam again just to get pills to help manage my pain. Upon me explaining I didnt want/need another overly invasive exam the guy on the phone wanted to patronize and just be rude to me with remarks like "well how do you expect us to not be ivasive when we examine you?" Needless to say I will not be going back. The u of I is cheaper and more friendly. Steer clear of asspen dental.

I am very upset with my experience here. It was recommended that I have some work done, which included oral surgery. As you can imagine, this was very pricey. And, not knowing any better at the time, I paid for all the work up front. I can understand paying up front if youre getting some sort of discount, but I certainly was not. So, it begs the question, why wouldnt you pay for service after its actually been completed? Several months after I had all the work done, I was told by the manager, Tony, that told my insurance wont cover ANY of it. WHAT?! It is part of your job to check on these things! And to make it worse (if thats even possible), I actually owed even more money! If my insurance was not going to cover the services, I should have been able to make a decision about whether to have it done with that knowledge. I will absolutely never go here again!

I wish I could not even giving them a 1 star rating. Front desk person was fine. I got these teeth several years ago. I realize that the bottom teeth will move around but the top teeth pop out when they should not. When I first got the teeth...I was not even given a mirror to look...had to go to the restroom to see them. This week I went for a denture cleaning....teeth still pop out. When I asked to see the dentist, he came in and said that that is what happens with teeth. Did not even look in my mouth to see if there was a solution. I had teeth earlier from another dentist for 15 years...they NEVER popped out when they were not suppose to...so I know it is possible to get a good fit. The only reason I did not go back to him was because he is more expensive and does not have a payment plan. I guess you get what you pay for !!!!!!

I called and said I had a broken tooth, and needed 3 teeth extracted, they told me no problem. I got there, they did a total of 5 X-rays, on 3 teeth-- thats all I have left. I told that tech, I busted needed the extractions. I get put in the chair, dentist comes in, looks in my mouth for about 20 seconds and starts telling me about the thousands of dollars I can spend on new dentures, implants, I tell him I just want the 3 teeth pulled, he gets the demo showing me the micro implants and tells me the office manager will be in. During this time the cute blonde starts telling me how wonderful it is here, office manager has a print out of my "care plan" otherwise known as my bill, I repeat my 3 3 teeth pulled.. basically, unless you plan on dropping 3000-4000 on a new complete set of dentures, avoid these money hungry bastards.
