Dr Platz is a rude, arrogant, disrespectful, male chauvinist human!!! I have been a nurse for 26 years, moved here in Nov, and had an appt to establish with him. When I was checking in at the front desk the young lady working there was obviously stressed and trying to work quickly. Her hands were shaking and she was obviously panicked, this was 0730!!! The day hadnt even really began!! I told her it was ok, I wasnt in a hurry she said "yeah, but the Dr is"!! I just agreed not thinking much of it until I actually was called back into the room and met him!!! This doctor is the coldest, most condescending, doctor I have met in a long time, he is ignorant to certain meds (which is ok) but the scary part is that he is afraid (or refuses) to learn and grow. I have been on a particular med for approx 3 years ( not a Narcotic or controlled med) it is a thyroid med!! He has my medical records from the last 10 years showing my hx. He would not renew my script!!! His reasoning was, "I dont work with that med". WHAT!!! ITS A THYROID MED!!! Look it up!!! I tried to explain why this one worked to my advantage etc, but I was just dismissed. He was not listening nor did he have any interest in what I was saying. I have the right to be involved in my care, the days of just bowing down to docs because they "say so" are over Dr p!!! You are no longer military so no more yes sir, no sir!! No wonder you need pts in your practice and most others arent accepting new! My story continues with how you were overheard yelling at your nurse , blaming her for putting records in the wrong part of the chart, when it was obvious you were to lazy to look thru the pts chart yourself and do a proper screen or prescreen!!! As a fellow nurse and human being this is uncalled for and extremely disrespectful to the nurse and the pt that is having to overhear this conversation. A well functioning practice and Dr do not run on intimidation and fear!! This is the civilian world, come join us!!!! Sonya Jaquet

I only go here for emergencies to solve the obvious and medication refills for ongoing chronic conditions. Hes not very good at listening. When explaining symptoms youll likely get an "Uh Hmm" after everything and will be able to count how many hairs are in his ear. Costly tests are ran when all he had to do was listen. Then when they do find something, he cant explain. So the fear sets in and he wonders why I dont take the medication. One star for refilling things in a timely manner and being able to get in within 48 hours for emergencies. -4 for not being a good communicator. --Very critical for a doctor one would think.

Dr. Platz is great! He really helped me get my sleep, asthma, and allergy problems solved in a timely manner. He is very knowledgeable about my conditions and the best medicines to treat them. The office setting is nice and relaxed. Also, the staff is friendly and very courteous. They are always quick to get me checked in and the wait time to see the doctor is minimal. I can always get an appointment when I need it. I would definitely recommend Manhattan Primary Care and Dr. Platz.

All I can say is dont ask or bring up a problem that doesnt pertain to your office visit that day because they will bill you for that. which is not rite I should be able to ask the Dr. About something without while Im there without being charged for it especially if there wasnt anything done for it these places is all about the money

Dr. Platz is a great provider. He is concise and does not waste your time. I would recommend Dr. Platz to all of my family and friends with full confidence. I was able to get same day appointments on two occasions and even able to walk out of his office with my prescription.

He didnt listen to a word I said. He let his bad decision making in the past define what medicine I should/shouldnt be allowed to have in the present. His decisions, of late, are against my best interests.
