This is the absolute worst hospital Ive ever been to! Most of them are friendly and courteous but it doesnt make up for the lack of experienced medical staff or inability to do even the simplest things such as WRITE DOWN A DRUG ALLERGY!! I took my father in to be treated for a stroke (Flaget was the closest hospital) when we arrived he walked into the hospital and could move his left arm still, when they decided 5 hours later to send him to Jewish he couldnt move his left arm at all and could barely move his leg. There was NO sense of urgency even though they constantly preach that every minute is critical with a stroke. They flat out told me they didnt know anything about strokes so they would be sending him to Jewish... they finally did, 2 hours later! They gave him a medicine we didnt realize he was allergic to and thats not their fault but they never wrote it down that he had an allergic reaction to it and when he finally reached Jewish, they tried to give it to him again because it wasnt written down in his chart. Skip ahead almost a year later he went in for an awful bout with kidney stones. They barely looked at him, gave him some meds and sent him on his way. The pain became unbearable and he ended up at Jewish again in the ICU being told he had multiple stones and at least one that he could not pass on his own. Flaget is just like the old General hospital in Louisville, it barely qualifies and it doesnt surprise me to hear all of the awful stories about it. Im amazed theyre still in business. At least now we know where they sent the c average doctors!

Ever since they joined Kentucky One, their service has gone to crap. Ive noticed that most of the doctors outside of the hospital has, too. At Flaget, my husband, who has a terminal illness, was stuck in the ambulance supply room for 8 hours. They didnt draw blood or do anything to help him. Not even a bag of saline. The last time I was there, I was under the care of my doctor for scoliosis. I was working at a computer and stretched and my arms went numb. My GP (whom is affiliated with Flaget) told me to go to the ER and she was going to fax an imaging order and tell them to send it to her and my neurologist asap. Well, I went. The doctor there asked if I was in pain, I told her no because I had medications at home that I just needed imaging done. She left the room and came back 20 minutes later and told me to leave. I was confused over her demeanor. I went to my GP a month later to get my medication and strength test and this ER doctor had called her and told her she believed I was a pill shopper. I lost my doctor and my neurologist that day. I havent been back to the doctor since and that was 4 years ago. I refuse to go to Dr. Johnson or Flaget. Or any Kentucky One physician. Theyre very rude at the desk, they will release you just for wanting a second opinion, they try to start arguments with you, they hang up on you, and they do not know how to communicate with other specialists. I actually had to make my own referral to my neuro. That whole place up there is the most unprofessional medical facility I have ever seen.

Urinating is a natural thing, when you dont for two days, something is wrong. So naturally, I went to the nearest hospital. I have strep throat and was diagnosed before going to the hospital, so that was put on my chart, and of course I had been drinking plenty of fluids to help get over my illness. They ran a catheter, tested my urine, tested my blood, and made me sit for almost four hours without any other tests to determine if something was causing me to not urinate. When the doctor finally came in, she said it was completely mental and nothing was wrong. For two days I had sat on the toilet, water running, willing myself to urinate with a full bladder, but nothing. It was all in my head..thats why it took a catheter to get it out. So, now back home, Im wondering, what do I do when its time to go again, hope for the best, go through the process all over again and be told its all in my head? Never will I go back to Flaget, they treated me horribly, didnt check on me, and gave me evil looks as they walked passed my doorway. Thanks for making me feel welcomed and taken care of, staff of Flaget.

Flaget is the poorest excuse for a hospital that Ive ever experienced. Its a bandaid station, AT BEST. Do not go here if you have something seriously wrong with you, because they will not be able to help you.

Worst emergency room staff that Ive ever seen. Rude, education did not seem high. People were finally giving up and leaving after waiting 5 to 7 hours. Really sad for the people of Bardstown.
