Okay, so I feel horrible about this, but I can only recommend going if you dont take small mammals to Dr.Gold. The other doctors were wonderful and compassionate. They got to the bottom of the problems I had with my animals, and did so with respect. Understand, I think Dr.Gold is a wonderful person, but I am really disappointed with my last visit. I breed mice, and I care for these animals very much. I have kept these animals as a serious exhibition hobby for years. I have worked with other people to learn about my species, and the health issues, and the diet religiously. My last visit was for a very elderly mouse. I was asked repeatedly if I was sure about the mouses age. I am extremely sure. I have the conception dates down to a 6 hour time span. I was told, I was feeding them too much protein when I asked about a skin condition. I had been treating her for a fungal rash, because it presented as one. I requested a test, and was told it was unnecessary. There were other ailments but I left the office that day really disheartened. I did not get any sort of new information or reassurances. I was told to feed my mice fruit. I have been mentored. One of the first rules is to never feed your mice fruit. It gives them diarrhea. It kills them. Nibbles are fine, but not worth the risk. I was told to feed her more carbs. My feed mix is already carb heavy at about 80% oats. They need other vitamins and minerals too. The mouse I took to them died two weeks later. Not of cancer. Of lice. The skin infection was lice. I cant see very well, I thought she had dandruff from dry itchy skin. Under a magnifying glass, I could see them moving. This was a gross error on my part, but I took her to the vet to avoid this very issue. Any other time. Any other species, and this office has been wonderful for me. I love the environment. Prices are reasonable. Scheduling is easy. The staff is friendly. The general experience is wonderful. I would just recommend one of the women if you take mice or small animals there . Just from experience. I will still take my animals here. I just thought, other people should know, that these things do occasionally happen.

I have been a dog owner my whole life. Last year I rescued a baby rabbit from a meat market. I had NO idea what I was doing or where to start, I just fell in love and he became our 3rd "dog". I was also new to the Baltimore area and did not have a vet yet. When it came time to neuter him last year, I was so anxious and worried and did A LOT of research to find a trusted vet who specialized in rabbits. Every rabbit lover and rabbit rescue in the area pointed me to Chadwell. And they were right! We made the extra commute and it was WELL worth it. Recently we found ourselves dealing with an upper respiratory infection in our bunny in the middle of the night. We had gotten some help from the animal ER in Bel Air to the best of their ability until we could get to Chadwell. This experience just gave us this feeling of even more comfort knowing we picked the best place to take our little guy. They are friendly, clean, you NEVER have to wait long and they are very helpful and informative. You can tell they genuinely care about every animal of all sizes and types that set foot into the office and are willing to help educate every pet owner when necessary. Gizmo (our rabbit) sees Dr. Tamie Haskin. She truly has a gift and is good at what she does. I trust every decision we make with her about the care of our rabbit. She is so kind and very intelligent! We also have 2 dogs who are due very soon for a vet appointment. We had debated on continuing to drive back to our old vet in PA for the time being but now we know we are definitely going to be bringing them to Chadwell without a doubt. We feel like we have found one of the best veterinary offices we have ever been to and can confidently make the switch now! Thank you Chadwell. You are truly a team of wonderful people who excel at what they do from the front door to the treatment rooms! So glad we found you!

My husband and I brought our new 7 week old German Shepherd Dog puppy into Chadwell for his initial puppy visit as well as address some concerns we had about his general well being. We saw Dr Haskins and she agreed that something wasnt right. He was bony and his coat was dull. She suggested some preliminary treatments to rule out common issues, and after a few weeks, he still wasnt thriving and growing to his full puppy potential. She then suggested that he be tested for a digestive disease called SIBO. Well the test results came back and she hit the nail on the head. He is now on the right treatment program and is not just growing but THRIVING!! Hes weight and size is even above average for his age! Dr. Haskins fixed my puppy and I will never take him to anyone else. My puppy also LOVES her. He whimpers when he hears her voice in another part of the hospital and gets so happy when she comes in the exam room. She is very kind and patient and makes sure you understand exactly what is going on. She also listens and takes your concerns into consideration. She truly is a great doctor. Also recently my puppy got out of the yard without my husband noticing. Some kind person called up Chadwell after seeing his rabies tag, and Chadwell immediately got in touch with my husband. He had no idea he had gotten out of our fenced backyard! He was able to meet the person that "caught" my lost puppy. So thank you Chadwell for knowing our puppy was missing even before we did! Your quick action helped us get our escapee home safely! The only negative thing I can say is the prescription medication is so expensive. I wish they had a prescription plan for people who have pets with chronic conditions.

The staff at Chadwell is very friendly and professional. It is always clean and organized in the facility. I have brought multiple pets to Chadwell and my family members all bring their animals to them as well. Dr. Haskins is always great to work with! When I had my senior, diabetic, and cancer rescue, Mimi, we loved to visit Dr Haskins and Dr Williams. They were always very kind to Mimi (as was all of the other hospital staff!!) and very knowledgable as to the best care that my sweet Mimi needed. When the time came to lay my sweet girl to rest, Dr Haskins was very patient with me and respectfully let me have my time to mourn and sympathized with me. I now have a new 17 week old pup and I am so excited to bring him to Chadwell to get all of his medical needs and check ups! I know in my heart that he is in the best hands while he is at Chadwell. I recommend Chadwell Animal Hospital to everybody who is looking for a veterinary practice to bring their pets. They also do exotics!!
