I apologize in advance for the format - it seems that Google took away my paragraphs. Not supposed to be a rant, just a summary of my experience. This review has been a long time coming. I kept giving this office second chances, because it is so convenient. But I have had more than one bad interaction over the course of four years. The first time we saw Dr. Reed for our cats bald patches. He said she had ringworm, and because of that our kitty had an entire month of torture getting baths twice a week, and getting sprayed/wiped down with Lotrimin. Not to mention us, and our house! Well, she didnt get better, we took her back in for a second opinion, the second vet said it was a food allergy. Switched her food, her hair grew back and she became healthy. So cue four years of buying expensive allergy food - fine because it helped her. She also had a period of time where she was peeing everywhere. Vet said it was stress, had us purchase a pheromone releaser. Did not help. After WAY too long tested her pee for crystals, which she had. Switched her food to non-fish. But again, this diagnosis was very late in coming and after they had us purchase extras through them. Well this past month she lost her hair on both sides of her belly. We took her in and saw Dr. Bannish (sp?). She gave her a once over, sent us home with the non-absorbent litter and had us take a pee sample. She had protein and blood in her pee. Again said it was food. Switched her to the canned version of her current food. Took to it fine, but she stopped pooping. Called the vets office - and never heard back. I had to call back days later to even get a response. They just told us it would take a month to see if it worked. But our kitty isnt pooping more than once a week, and when they sent us home with more of the special litter for a retest, she didnt like it and ended up peeing on our bed. So I called the vet, and again - no return call until I called them. The receptionist Julie was extremely rude - said that their office was open at 8 and she she just got in, so she shouldnt have even picked up the phone. It was 7:57. I tried to complain that it had been two weeks with no results and our kitty was still sick, and she said my option was to bring her in three days later (after the weekend) for pee testing. My kitty has protein and blood in her pee, and its been two weeks at this point, and she still is missing hair on her tummy. So I explain this to the receptionist, and she says that the receptionist Id talked to the day before said Id declined to have her pee tested in the office. This was from the initial visit two weeks ago, back when the special litter had worked. Since it wasnt working, I just want my kittys pee tested so we can get her treated and healthy again. So finally she offers me an appointment and a phone call from a vet. The original vet, who I have still not talked to in two weeks since bringing her in. Waiting today on the phone call - well see. But at this point its just so I can speak to someone other than one of the receptionists. I made an appointment with another veterinary office. Beware of this one. I kept going over and over for the past four years because of loyalty, and I think my pet suffered because of it.

THIS PLACE ROCKS!!!!!! All the staff are amazing, kind, knowledgable and easy going. Between Dr. Reed and Dr. Chaney they were able to save my female English Bulldog, Harley. It was a long road but the doctors and staff did everything they could and knew to do. They knew I was in a financial perdicament and did what they could to help me out in that regard. I have since taken in my other Bulldog, Nozzle, and he loves it there. We rescued a dog on New Years Eve and they took great care of her while we looked for a new home. I really cant say enough good things about them. I have come to realize everything about my dogs are expensive. In the end when it comes their care, my husband and I being treated with respect, and having a friendly environment to go to I dont mind paying a few extra dollars. Way to go Annapolis Animal Hospital, YOU ROCK!!

I cant say enough great things about Annapolis Animal Hospital. I have been going to them for almost three years now. Being a first time dog owner (my own) I am worrisome of every small bump or bruise. The staff is super friendly and remembers every pet, which is helpful because I can call and get an opinion without having to bring him in-which is what happens most of the time. When I was doing research on where to get my dog neutered Annapolis Animal Hospital was actually one of the less expensive places I looked. I’m not sure of the costs comparison to other vets because when it comes to a member of my family I’d rather enjoy the small intimate vet experience and fully trust my vet than worry about a few dollars saved her or there so I haven’t even thought of looking around.

I ADORE the Annapolis Animal Hospital! They have been nothing but SUPER friendly and have gone above and beyond to help with my pets! I have been using them for over 10 years and have never had any issues. Years ago they found that my puppy needed knee surgery due to a birth defect. I know there is some fancy name for it but I dont remember. The Dr was honest and referred me over to an orthopedic specialist and he got my dog all fixed up. Now, I go to Dr. Reed for EVERYTHING! He is great with my dog and my two cats. He takes the time to listen and I never feel rushed during my appointment. The other staff there is wonderful and its great that they know me as soon as I walk in.

Annapolis Animal Hospital has been our vet of choice for over 12 years now. Dr. Reed is consistently thorough and talks through everything with me so that I understand what is going on with my dogs. The staff are great and they treat the dogs like their own. Pet ailments can always be a mystery and they cant tell us what hurts or why they feel bad. Sometimes it is necessary to try a treatment to see if that helps a problem. We appreciate that Dr. Reed always gives us options and lets us know that he is there to help us find a solution to what is hurting our dogs. We would definitely recommend Annapolis Animal Hospital to our pet friends.

Dr Reed was extremely inhumane to my pet and my pet was traumatized by the experience!!! I had to physically get her away from Dr Reed! Please beware of this Vet! Dr Reed barely gave me any information at all!! I feel like my appointment was pointless. None of my questions were answered, nothing was accomplished, and my pet and I felt worse when we left, plus I was charged for a visit and now we have to go to another vet and pay again! DO NOT go to this Vet!! Dr Reed crouched down in the corner, in the exam room, and looked as though he was having a break down.. Very strange, rude man... RUN, don walk away from here!!
