I chose this dentist because of the location and the fact that it was one of the few covered by my insurance. The office is clean, well-lit and the staff friendly. It took two and a half months to get a new patient appointment (I first called in May); then they split up what should have been a simple, quick cleaning into two separate appointments, one to take x-rays and ask questions and the other to do the actual cleaning. Its a "paperless" office so you must stand at a computer and type in answers to over 20 pages of questions - and then review all those pages at subsequent appointments. Each visit cost me a co-pay, and I saw Dr. Boyd himself for less that three minutes each visit - even though I had questions AND multiple cavities that needed talking about. Dr Boyd didnt even tell me about the cavities, as another reviewer mentioned it was only someone else when I went to check out. The second visit - the cleaning - the dentist himself didnt even look in my mouth. So I schedule filling, and it takes another six weeks before they will fit me in. The day of that appointment, Mrs. Dr Boyd comes in and, again without looking in my mouth, informs me that I need a root canal and she will only do one filling on one side, that I have to come in for another appointment to do the other side. Long story short - she takes1 hr 45 min. to do the one filling, and it has not felt right since then. I need to get it seen to, but dread to return to them. I make an appointment for the other filling and discover it will take two more months to get in (December now!), and they are "not sure" whether to schedule for a root canal or filling. I just went to another dentist (paid out of pocket) to take an x-ray and get a second opinion about the root canal. The other dentist sees NO reason for a root canal. Their bedside manner is dismissive, their schedule impossible and their abilities doubtful at best. Im switching dentists!

I have been with Boyd and Boyd Dentistry for over 2 years now. I love the atmosphere and how friendly and caring the staff and doctors are. They really do care and listen whenever I had a concern. It was a dream of mine to straighten my teeth and thanks to Dr. Boyd it came true! I feel so much more confident now, I cant stop smiling! Ive finally found an office that I love! Thanks!! :)

Very positive experience. Thoughtful and careful the dentists do initial cleaning themselves! My root canal was painless! The office is cheerful and staff seem to genuinely like working there. Scheduling is "future oriented," however - except for emergencies you will typically be schedule a month or two out. I take that as positive evidence of popularity.
