After several less than pleasant visits at the big name stores I decided to try a smaller business for better customer service . Bad idea ! The first time I was there I had a reasonable visit . I ordered reading glasses and was told that I would be called or sent a text message when they were ready . After two weeks of no communication I called the office and was told that they had contacted me several days prior to the call which was untrue . The second visit was for my daughter and this time we had multiple problems . The exam was fine . It took quite a while to order the glasses so by the time we were done I just wanted to leave . The bill was a lot higher than usual and I should have looked at the details before paying . When I looked at the particulars later on I realized that the sales person had ordered the Crizal Avance lenses without asking me if that was what we wanted , no wonder the fee was so high . I asked how long it would take for the glasses to come in and I was told 7-10 days . Two weeks later I called and the person on the phone was very snippy with me and said that it always takes at least two weeks . If that is the case why was I given the wrong information previously ? I called again a couple of days later and was told that nothing could be done to speed up the process and I would have to be patient . Also when we got the claim for the insurance company it turns out that the claim had been made in my husbands name as the patient . Today we finally got the call that the glasses were ready . I brought up our issues and had some resolution . The front desk person made a copy of the insurance claim and promised me that the claim will be refiled under the correct patient name . I also spoke to the person who ordered the glasses and asked why she did not discuss the choice of lenses with me . She refused to take responsibility for her mistake and said that she always goes over everything with the client . I clearly remember and so does my daughter thinking it was strange that we did not have options in ordering the glasses . I realize that I should have looked more closely at the bill before paying but it would have been nice with a sincere apology from the sales person .

Ive been coming to Bay Hills Eye Care for almost a decade. Ive needed glasses since second grade, so I have plenty of experience with optometrists. Dr Atcherson is extremely knowledgable, friendly, and helpful. The office uses modern equipment and is constantly upgrading. This makes the screenings and maintenance go very quickly. Although I dont need frames anymore, when I did they had a wide variety of styles available and were happy to help you find the right ones. Ive recommended this office to my wife, friends, and coworkers. I will continue to do so.

I have been going to Bay Hills Eye Care for almost a decade. I started a new job in 2009 and have needed glasses since. Dr Atcherson is extremely knowledgable, friendly, and helpful. The office uses modern equipment and is constantly upgrading. I get a new prescription each year for my existing frames. When my frames break, they have a wide variety of styles available and are happy to help me find the right ones. I was recommended to this office by my wife. We now bring my kids here. I will continue to do so.

The staff is friendly and very professional and are always helpful if a drop-in is necessary for an adjustment on our glasses. Dr. Atcherson was very good but I have mixed results with office staff. One person in particular is remarkably nasty so I will not return. In addition, they wrote an eye prescription with an expiration date of one year. Our insurance covers eye exams once every 2 years so although my daughter was in for an exam 13 months ago, she has to go back to get her contact lens prescription refilled.

I have been coming here for several years now to see Dr. Florenz. Fantastic service. There are closer places to where I now live that I could go, but I know I am in great hands and will continue to go here. They also always provide a bag of goodies on the way out (contact solution, case, coupons) and help find what deals are currently going on to help reduce the cost of contacts.
