Terrible, all around. Dont go there. My daughter wears bifocals and they sold me a frame that was WAY too big for her face. They said it could be adjusted. Well it took two weeks for them to come in and then, lo and behold, they could not be adjusted. The employees, however, tried to tell me they looked fine and were great. I took my daughter in her new glasses to see my father, who has been in the optical business for 30 years, and he confirmed that they were huge. Even after two employees assured me they were fine. So we went back, and complained. Three different people had to look at the glasses on her, and as soon as my dad started saying optical terms they started agreeing that yes, the glasses WERE huge. How about that! Then they made us wait for half an hour for someone to help us even though the store was empty of customers. When the "manager" finally came to help us, he had no idea what he was doing. My dad inspected the glasses that were too big and discovered they sold me an upgraded lens, which I did not get. I got cheap lenses but paid for special ones. The manager tried to argue with him and eventually my dad was right. We also discovered that they had disregarded the Rx for the glasses and put the bifocal line wherever they wanted to, because they said the doctor must have made a mistake because the placement of the line was not common. They actually overrode the Rx! Then the "manager" was unable to properly draw the bifocal line on my daughters new frames, and my dad had to do it! It was a disaster, and I am thoroughly embarrassed for the people that work there. Finally I was told the glasses would be rushed since they took 2 weeks the first time, but when I called to check the status of the glasses I was met with rudeness and an employee who tells me that its not possible to rush lenses from a lab (which is total BS, my dad works in a lab as a manager! I know they can be rushed!). When I asked to speak to the manager that had helped me with the glasses order, she told me that the information was not in the computer and then said that she would have to print something in order to see the name, and made it out to be a huge hassle. I was placed on hold for way too long and she finally came back, still arguing and still unpleasant. Its been a week since we reordered these glasses and they are still not in. I will most definitely be taking my dad with me when I pick them up, and I will never go back to this joke of an eyeglass store. Id give them a -3 if I could.

I have used Visionworks before at the Towson,MD Location, and I switched to the White Marsh location after they took over 2 months to order my contacts, which I never even got in the end. As for the White Marsh store, I just went there on the 15th for eye exam and glasses. Its the 20th and still no glasses. I dont have bifocals or anything, just regular glasses and they said check back next week! Also, they salesman was very annoying. He first of all followed me around the store trying to help me pick out glasses frames, but I kept saying "no, thank you I am very picky and dont need help", but he kept coming up to me with frames to try on. I get that its his job, but I hated every selection he made, and felt very uncomfortable because he must have brought me 20 pairs, and I hated them all (just leave me alone and let me pick!). He also kept asking me a lot of personal questions which was very unprofessional, like "what are you doing tonight?" and "where do you like to go for fun?" and questions about my clothing and hair. It was very creepy!!! Then after I chose my frame, it took him literally over an hour to type in the info! In between typing he kept asking me more personal questions! He also was very pushy about selling their transitions lenses, which I hate (they would take a very long time to adjust,so Id be that weird person with very dark sunglasses on while indoors) but he refused to believe that I shouldnt get them. I had to finally break down and say that I couldnt afford it and Id have to cancel the whole order if I couldnt get mid-prices clear lenses like I originally asked for. He then ordered the most expensive clear lens (the "eagle HD") lenses without my permission, so I had to tell him to re-do it with the mid-priced lens for the third time. My whole appointment took three and a half hours which comprised of about 20 minutes wait time for the doctor, about 40 minutes to look for a frame, and the other two and a half hours was this guy trying to ask me weird questions and "slip in" expensive lenses! I dont know what is going on with the level of customer service at Visionworks, but they used to be great, but the past three years have been horrible no matter which location I go to

Went there for eye exam and found to need glasses. Big banner said buy one, get one free. After consultation, picked the frames, lenses type, etc. Young man checked with my insurance carrier to see what theyd pay. Of $404.00 invoice, insurance would pay $160. Balance $244. out of pocket. Asked about the second pair free. Told this was an exclusion because insurance was paying part of it. Asked if I paid whole thing out of pocket, would I get second pair, told yes. The amount was still $404. Asked what the difference was if my insurer paid part, told coverage only paid for 1 pair. Replyed, correct, the second pair is suppose to be FREE, so there were no additional charge to my carrier. Bottom line, my cat could have paid the $160 and the second pair would have been "free" but not my insurer... Good up to that point for a walk in but very disappointing. Took my perscription and will go somewhere that understands, second pair FREE is FREE.

I bought two pair of glasses 10 months ago expensive frames and lenses Over $600.00 for both pair, was cleaning my glasses with the CAT logo frames and they just fell apart. Went in to the store and the best they will do is offer 25% discount on new frames. Pretty low quality stuff. I have purchased several pair of glasses there and always got the lenses with the protective coating and they scratch up with in months just cleaning with a microfiber towel and lens cleaner. Think it is time to take my business elsewhere. Also I was under the impression that they had a year guarantee and come to find out it had to be purchase on top of the hundreds I already shelled out.Update , since i originally posted this and sent a carbon copy email to vision works corporate they have replace my frame for the cost it would have been had I purchased the insurance. $20.00.

The only good thing about this place is the doctor, which he seems to care. Other than that the service here is horrible! For example I called in with a question and instead of kindly saying they couldnt help the lady rudely interrupted me and said they cant do it, I said "O, okay" and then she hung up. She actually HUNG UP on me! I was so upset I wanted to call back and question why but it wont do any good. Another thing, wait times are over an hour, at least thats what Ive experienced the last four times Ive been here, again I only continued coming b/c I like the doctor. Its unfortunate but I hope to never go back for anything again. I am a paying customer and I should not have to be treated poorly. There are many other options out there. I feel bad for the doctor that the staff there prevents customers from returning.
