When we first started coming to Greenbrier for our kitten Amos it was great, Dr. Dillinger was amazing and we thought we found our vet. However our last visit did not go that way at all. Our kitten had a swollen mass on his face, that was about the size of a golf ball, so naturally we took him to Greenbrier. Im appalled that my kitten was given a not even ten minute exam, then the exam wasnt even for this swollen mass on his face but for his eye because the mass was so big he was squinting his eye. I thought to myself this woman is a vet obviously she knows what she is doing, however I was wrong. Two-days later New Years day my boyfriend and I were awoken by our roommate saying that there is a lot of blood out here and Amos is bleeding really badly. We had to rush him to the animal hospital, whom has the same technology as Greenbrier, to be treated. Not only were we told that there was no conjunctivitis in his eye like the vet at Greenbrier had said that there was, but the mass on his face had ruptured, which was caused by an abscess tooth coming in. So instead of the vet at Greenbrier checking him thoroughly for anything that could cause this mass on his face, she saw his eye was red, again probably from the swelling and irritation and gave us eye drops and sent us on our way. I was told, even though my animal was misdiagnosed in my eyes, that I could not get a refund for the service that was obviously not performed. There is dental care, there is x-ray machines, there is everything there that could have gave us a proper diagnosis and if they couldnt I should not have been charged and they should have pointed us in the direction of the animal hospital. I have yet to even speak to the owner or manager about this situation, I keep getting the smug vet whom says to me "Thats what I saw, and I stand by my diagnosis." I will not be going back. The picture below is of my poor kitten Amos on New Years day we cleaned him up the best that we could to take him to the animal hospital. Even in the picture you can see the mass on his face.

My lab has had his fair share of heath problems. While he was a puppy, Dr. Street informed me that one of his testicles hadnt desended yet. He warned me that if we didnt get him neutered that it could cause cancer. The cost was going to be high, due to the fact that they have to surgically go into his abdomen and remove it. I delayed the neutering for about three years. In the meantime, he also was diagnosed with Lymes disease. A few months ago, we noticed that he started to lose hair significantly underneath his body and around his neck. We took him to the vet to make sure that it wasnt a parasite, and rule out a few other issues. All the while he seemed to be normal and in good spirits. But it was definitely getting worse. After doing some research on my own and talking with the doctors, we decided that the fur loss could be a sign of cancer due to his retained testicle. Finally, we scheduled his surgery and after the biopsy of the testicle it was determined that he had in fact, cancer. I was informed by the doctors that they had gotten most of the cancer out, and his fur should start to regrow by February. After the first few weeks post surgery, I immediately noticed how much happier he was. He seem to be very playful and finally paid attention to our other dog. They actually play non stop now! I started to wonder if he was going to grow his hair back, and then all of a sudden as if it were magic it started to grow again. And it wasnt even February yet! My chocolate lab is only four years old, and to think that he could have succumbed to cancer at such an early age was indeed tragic to me. The vets there are caring and patient, not only with animals but the humans as well. I cant thank the staff and the vets there enough! If you havent decided on a vet yet, please do yourself and your animal a favor and go to Greenbrier Vet!

Our family has been going to Greenbrier Vet for many many years. We have always found them to be extremely professional. They follow-up and have a very caring staff. I believe there is some confusion because Greenbrier Vet absolutely DOES NOT discriminate against Pitbulls or bully-type breeds. Our family has an American Bulldog who for lack of a better word is cranky. He is set in his ways and quite frankly, does not like going to the vet or anywhere he isnt very familiar. The staff and veterinarians at Greenbrier ALWAYS are patient with our dog. They dont rush getting him in and out. They take their time and go at our dogs pace. The staff are so incredibly gentle with our dog and hes a favorite amongst the kennel staff at Churchville Vet which is connected to Greenbrier. We primarily see Dr. Streett but have seen the others too. We would not continue to use a vet clinic that had a stance against our dogs breed. Greenbrier doesnt. Nor have they ever. We recommend them to everyone INCLUDING our Pitbull owning friends. Greenbrier is really a fantastic clinic and well be using them for years to come.

They are hands down the BEST Vet I have ever been to. They are caring, detailed, thorough, and listen to any concerns you may have about your pet. The attentiveness to my pets health along with changes noticed within the pet since the last visits are truly impressive. They go above and beyond in educating the owners of any issues the pet may be experiencing, and never do they dismiss any requests or concerns you may have, as they truly care for your pet as much as you do! Medications are always in stock and they offer special orders per request. My cat almost lost his tail and Dr. Streett thought outside of the box and was able to administer treatments to save it. The staff is sweet and kind and the doctors are very knowledgeable and trustworthy. Though I have moved to Baltimore County, after trying another vet, I will be making the drive to Bel Air as the difference in service is well worth it. Overall I will say AMAZING Veterinary Office!

Greenbrier vet is an amazing practice and does NOT discriminate against any breed regardless of other comments. We have taken our pit bulls there for over a decade and our Brutus is a favorite patient of the staff! We simply cant come in with any of our other pets without the ladies asking about Brutus. Dr. Street has always taken amazing care of our dogs and cats and performed multiple surgeries on one of our pups who has cancer with minimal scarring that I would trust him to operate on me! If you need a great vet this is the place to go!

My experience was great until I had to pay the bill. When I called to ask about a health certificate, I was quoted $28.50. I was charged $77.50. The receptionist told me that there was a $49 charge for the exam. So the charge for printing and signing a piece of paper is $28.50. There was no mention of a separate charge prior to the presentation of the bill. I am very dissatisfied with their deception.
