I have seen Dr Champaloux a number of times over the years for a variety of reasons. While he is obviously a bright and knowledgeable physician, I think he is more interested in making a buck than in doctoring. On a few occasions, he has promptly forgotten the ailment or issue that brought me in while he tried to talk me into his own vitamin program ($) or, despite there being no apparent clinical reason, pushed me to undergo several hundred dollars worth of tests by the lab that he owns... This conflict of interest strikes me as being a bit shaky. Ordinary tasks like writing, phoning or faxing prescription refills were botched or forgotten on multiple occasions. The staff is courteous but apparently overworked and harried. Some billing errors took months and a personal appointment with the doctor to correct. Dr. Champaloux is a nice guy and a competent physician but finds it difficult to separate entrepreneurial endeavors from patient care.

I have been a patient at Dr Champalouxs office since I was a child, and I have never been so upset with them until now. Usually when someone gets sick they call the doctors office to be seen for treatment, but it seems like every time I called them they never want to schedule me. Why is it that the staff are so quick to turn someone down for an appointment? Why are they open every other day? I remember they were never like that before when I was coming there as a child. I also would like to say that who ever answers the phone there need to be a bit more nicer on the phone, instead of being rude. I have no problem with the doctor, its just his staff that needs to be better in terms of customer service! Thank you!

The physician and staff at Bowie Family practice are not only friendly, knowledgable and extremely competent, they have been essential in maintaining my health and well-being over the years. If I need to come in immediately for some issue, the staff works me in right away and is very attentive to my needs. The independent lab in the office is very good and I didnt even feel a thing! Sure, there are some days that are busier than others, but overall they see and treat me and everyone else I know who goes to the office quickly and efficiently. Dr. Champaloux is very concerned with preventative care and is an extremely thorough physician!
