My family of six have been going to Sterling Optical for many, many years and let me say why. The location is easy to find and has easy parking right at the front door. The interior, which just has been refreshed, is immaculate, bright, airy and cheerful. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. (You feel like you are walking into Cheers where "everybody knows your name.") The doctor is very experienced, thorough, smart, patient and funny. (He may have you come back for a few follow-ups just to make sure everything is looking good.) The pricing of the exam and the glasses, or lens, are reasonable and fair. They also never up-sell or are pushy. You purchase only what you need. I would not trust my eyes, or the eyes of my family, to anyone else.

Sterling Optical, specifically Emily, was extremely helpful in helping me finally get a pair of progressive lenses that worked. I went through two different versions at Pearle before giving up there (they were extremely nice but even after paying for a new prescription out of pocket it was just not happening) and tried LensCrafters but the selection was bad and I kept getting conflicting advice. I tried Sterling because they had great reviews and they were open late on the weekend. I was very happily surprised that they were not only very knowledgable and attentive, but also provided a complementary prescription. Emily spent lots of time helping me pick out the correct lenses and frames. Highly recommend.

I have been a patient of Dr. Amedeo for several years, and have always found him and the staff at this Sterling Optical office very patient and helpful. I had problems at one point with my glasses lens fracturing (series of flawed lenses, not due to any deficiencies of the staff/doctor--sometimes stuff just happens), and they were very patient and GREAT at resolving the problem. This may be a "chain" business, but this particular Sterling office feels like/IS a small home-town doctors office where you become known and will be taken care of like family, adults and children alike. Highly recommend them. :-)

Dr. Amedeo and his staff are the best I have ever been to! I recommend him to everyone I know. They are always greeting you by name, making you feel important and remembered. Dr. Amedeo is very nice and funny. I had not been able to wear contact for over 6 years due to them drying out my eyes then I came to Dr. Amedeo as a new patient and he worked with me for over 4 months until we found a contact that was comfortable for me and at NO cost! I will never forgot that experience. They truly value their customers and want you have the best care/experience possible.

Went in for a contact lens exam, my first since moving to this area. Dr. Amedeo and his staff were very thorough, responsive, friendly, helpful, and informative. Everyone had a smile. I was greeted in a friendly manner by all. My 5 year old son was with me and Dr. Amedeo made a point of including him as much as possible in the exam- telling him what he was doing and showing him some of his cool gadgets. They mentioned promotions to me but at no point did I feel pressured past what I needed. I will definitely be returning for my regular eye exams.

Dr. Amedeo has been my optometrist for over 20 years, and I actually enjoy returning for my yearly eye exam. I got my very first pair of glasses from him at the age of seven, and have always felt that his assessments for treatment were accurate. He also takes the time to make recommendations for my medical care based on my lifestyle needs. I continue to drive back to Frederick for my annual exam, even though it is over an hours drive, because my experience at this Sterling Optical, with the doctor and staff, has been consistently wonderful.

I wouldnt consider going anywhere else! I have been seeing Dr. Amedeo for very long time and am completely satisfied with every aspect of service my family and I receive. The staff is also very friendly, experienced and helpful. They go above and beyond to make sure everyone is satisfied. They dont just care about getting people in and out... they care about their patients! Theyre great with insurance benefits. It doesnt take long to get in. Prices are very competitive, so is selection. Definitely the best of the best!

My wife and I both really appreciate the knowledge, service and demeanor of Tommy and Dr. Amedeo. They are always a pleasure to do business with and are good enough to be memorable and we look forward to seeing them again. Unfortunately, a newer addition to this location, I believe her name is Kim, is not well versed in the system or type of hospitality we expected in light of our previous visits. If not for the intervention of Tommy, I would have left and gone elsewhere. Hopefully, this wont be an issue next time.

The staff at this place is really, really, really nice. Unfortunately, the doctor was terrible. He seemed so rushed and did not take time with my husband or myself. I cant imagine what he is like with children. We are now looking for another eye place after two visits here. The glasses (frames) were also very expensive (and we have really good insurance!). The doctor really bothered me though-- he just didnt seem to care. I honestly felt like I did not even get a real eye exam!

Easy to make an appointment and was greeted by Julie as soon as I arrived. She helped me find frames that matched the style I described and they had great price ranges. Dr. Amedeo was just as friendly as Julie and went thru the exam swiftly but with great care to get my Rx right. Both Julie and Dr. Amedeo treated me like a friend and made me feel comfortable with my decisions. Ill be back there in December to get the glasses I want now that my vision insurance will be in place.

The service provided by Sterling Optical in Frederick, MD has been outstanding. We have been customers/patients since 2008. We have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Amedeo as he is a great optometrist. We also appreciate the customer service from Tommy, Anthony, April, and others in helping us find the right eyewear. Even after moving away from the area we still purchase our eyewear from them. They are very knowledgable and are always super friendly and courteous.

My daughter and I went for an eye exam for glasses last week and had a very pleasant experience with Sterling Opticals in Frederick MD. Staff is very polite and helpful. Dr. Amadeo is very knowledgeable and thorough with eye exams. He has a very pleasant personality and we were very satisfied with eye exam. We got our glasses within 3 days. I have the " no fault" warranty on my glasses, which Id recommend to everyone. However, my glasses were destroyed the other night and I couldnt even find any pieces to return to the store. Instead of treating this like "the dog ate my homework" the customer service rep and her manager worked with me and got me warranty coverage. Be going there fr years and theyve always been cool and helpful, but they deserve a shout otut for "above and beyond" this time
