In the past we have had generally positive experiences with Associates In Eyecare. The doctor is well-informed and the sales associates are helpful and pleasant. I have always felt that there is a tendency to upsell products by adding features to glasses that we may not have needed, and their charges have always been hundreds of dollars higher than our previous providers even given the same insurance coverage. It was todays visit, however, that has caused AIE to lose my patronage. I scheduled a visit for my children to try on contact lenses and was never informed at the time of the call that the cost would be almost $160 out of pocket per child. If they couldnt put them in we wouldnt be able to purchase the lenses (a safe and sensible policy). It wasnt until the time of checkout, after services were rendered, that I was hit with the $316 charge, and neither of my children could get the lenses nor would the prescription be dispensed because they werent successful. I understand that time with a sales associate may cost money, but with all due respect, the 30-40 minute "class" isnt worth that much, and the lenses they used were probably free trials from a distributor. I ended up using my lens insurance to cover the cost, but now I cant use it to actually buy the lenses. In any case, it felt fraudulent to charge that much without disclosing the cost prior to rendering the services. My kids get unlimited tries for a year, so Ill be back until they can get them in, but I will not be returning as a customer in any other capacity.

I have brought my all 3 daughters here after less than stellar experiences with other optometrists treating children. From the first appointment, Dr. Vu-Gia was amazing with my kids. Energetic, calming, fun - put any anxiety to rest and made them feel at ease. The process has always been a welcome one - down to a first eye exam and glasses fitting for my 7 year old! But it doesnt stop there. The customer service in this office is unbeatable. Besides helping to find the perfect appointments to fit my busy schedule, talking stubborn me into making an appointment for myself, and handling all our insurance matters (always fun in a family with 3 insurance providers!!), they went even a HUGE step further for us. My daughter who has a bad astigmatism lost one of her lenses from her glasses. One of the assistants stayed open late just so we could come in and get a temporary replacement lens the night before she left town, then rushed the new lens in at no charge because she gets migraines. I would have paid anything - but she just handled it all. This practice treats you like family. Im so thankful we found it.

The doctors and staff at associates in eye care are second to none. I saw Dr. Hieu Vu-Gia when I was there and honestly have never received such detailed professional information about what was going on with my eyes, while also receiving full comfort that he genuinely cared about my personal well being. The staff is very knowledgable about working with multiple insurance options and ensuring that everything gets filed properly. I could not give this place a higher recommendation. If you want to know you are working with the best trained doctors and staff, who also happen to be great people, go to associates in eye care.

Dr. Vu-Gia and his staff are absolutely amazing. I was greeted with warm smiles and professionalism. Dr. Vu himself took so much time talking to me about my LASIK (not done by him) and my problems with Dry eye. He suggested a more natural approach with drops and Omega-3s before jumping to the really expensive Restasis. He also helped me to get some glasses to relieve my headaches from computer eye strain. The optician who helped me with my glasses was very friendly and professional and described my insurance and what it would cover as well. I will be recommending Dr. Vu to everyone I know!

The entire staff are very attentive and knowledgeable especially with the insurance aspect. I have never had to pick out my own frames, they seem to have a knack for picking out the perfect ones for my face shape. Dr.Vu Gia is very thorough and explains things in a way that you can completely understand what is going on with my eyes. I would highly recommend them to anyone and I have.

Warm reception when I entered. Very up-to-date eye procedure technology available and explained nicely. Took as much time as I needed to find the right pair of frames. Just an all-around positive experience. I highly recommend Associates in Eye Care. [Oh, and when I needed an emergency appointment last January they took me immediately. Couldnt ask for better care!]

Dr Vu-Gia is fabulous. Very friendly, professional, caring, and thorough. We have gone to him for years and fully trust him. Ashley is a good office manager, too, and is very helpful in selecting the right eyeglass frames. Clean office, never feel rushed, plus they have coffee :) . If you are in the market for a new eye doctor, this is a great one.

I was pretty anxious about my first time to the eye doctor, and from the minute I walked in, everyone was very cheerful, friendly, and helpful! Dr. Vu-Gia was extremely personable, knowledgeable, skilled, and really took the time to listen to my concerns. The staff is friendly and helpful and my doctor is great! They all take the time to make sure everything is right and youre satisfied. Ill be having my eyes checked here for a long time!

A fantastic team! I went to get contacts for the first time and I had so many questions. I felt as if my questions were actually encouraged and received more information than I knew I needed! Best eye practice Ive been to in the area. They took a lot of time to explain things that others havent. Efficient, professional, and seem to have a good grasp on latest tech and research, as well as insurance benefits. They have courtesy policies regarding contacts that Ive never had at other docs as well. Ill definitely be back!

And the products/services are great value for the money. Every experience of the dozens Ive had there has been very positive.

Very thorough. Office staff was friendly and very helpful. Only thing I found odd was that the field of vision test was a separate fee, whereas it was always included in eye exams with other practices. They also have that fancy 3D machine which I prefer so I dont have to get my eyes dilated. All in all, I will return.

Friendly, helpful, and patient staff, from the associates on up to the doc, who was knowledge and took his time with my exam. Associates helped me get the most bang for my buck out of my insurance plan, and helped me pick out some adorable red glasses in addition to my contacts. Overall, a pleasant experience!
