When I made the appointment for my son to see the doctor at Ashburn Eyecare, they asked me to arrive about ten minutes or so early to fill out paperwork. So when I came in, I arrived around 20 minutes before the appointment time and we waited to be taken back. Finally ten minutes after the appointment time, someone came to bring us back. He was a nice gentleman but kept mumbling his words and when I asked him what the tests were for he didnt seem to know what he was talking about. The doctor was very nice, but when we talked about contacts for my son she didnt seem very agreeing with this. Even said that there was no one there to teach my son to put them in. I was shocked that they didnt have the proper staff to keep the place running. When we were finished and I was paying, the girl at the front desk tried to argue with me over my insurance, talking very condescendingly to me. She was treating me like a child, overpronouncing her words and at one point another woman cut in and took over explaining things, and even with her I feel like I didnt get a chance to ask questions about the total. I dont know how to rate the establishment, but I feel very reluctant on returning.

One of my very favorite doctors! Ive been a patient of Dr. Allens for over 14 years. He was recommended very highly by another doctor and has lived up to that recommendation and more. He takes time to "talk to me" and explain things in a way I understand. I never feel rushed and most importantly he is honest and a true professional in his field and I believe he wants what is best for all his patients. He makes me feel I am the most important patient every time I see him. He has the some of the most friendly and helpful staff and they all continually demonstrate his philosophy that the patient comes first. Jim Waters is the best! He has helped and guided me in selecting the best products for my particular situation.

I have been a patient of Dr. Allen for many years and the care he provides is second to none. He takes the time to make sure all of my questions are answered and I do not feel rushed at all. I recently had Lasik surgery at TLC, coordinated through Dr. Allen. It has been a fantastic experience and I am so happy to be able to do all of my follow-up care with Dr. Allen. He is extremely professional and knowledgeable, always on the cutting edge of the latest advancements in the field. The staff at Ashburn Eyecare Associates are professional and courteous and extremely helpful. Our entire family uses Ashburn Eyecare for all of our vision needs and we have been happy with all of the doctors we have seen.

I went their twice, at the first time I got glasses and contacts exam, both together. I had to pay $120 out of pocket. I thought its because I did both exams together. I went back this year, they tried to do the same thing although I was only getting the contacts exam. when I told them I shouldnt be paying anything out of pocket, they acted so rude and made me take off the tryal lenses. It turned out that they basicly dont know what they are doing, because when I called the insurance, they confirmed that the fitting exam was covered under my plan. This place is way overpriced, and terrible customer service. I will never go back.

I have been seeing Dr. Allen for over 10 years. He always goes above and beyond to help his patients. I couldnt believe that when my daughter, who lives in London, (also a long time patient) needed advice regarding Lasik, he took the time to help her locate a reputable surgeon there. When she had an eye infection, he made a special trip to the office to help her. Those are just 2 of the many examples I could give showing Dr. Allens stellar care for his patients. The office staff is friendly and helpful. The opticians are really good at helping you pick frames, too!

Where have you been all my life!? First time visit for an eye exam and a new pair of specs. Friendly office staff greeted me and made me feel welcome right away. Dr Sun was thorough, efficient, and quick without making me feel rushed. Dan was an absolute rockstar and helped my wife and I pick out the perfect pair of frames. I have not had any problems with Ashburn Eyecare Associates except that the last couple of visits took much longer than they should. I recently visited for an annual checkup and my visit was great! No waiting. I was taken in to the exam room right away and everything was handled very promptly and smoothly. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I felt like a valued customer. I am glad to see the improvements and look forward to my next visit.

Ive been using Ashburn Eyecare for my needs for almost ten years. In every case, the care and recommendations Ive received from the doctors and staff at AEA have been top notch. Bottom line is that I trust them with the care of my eye health. Ive worked with Drs. Allen and Slavin primarily and Jim ordering and fitting the my glasses. Again, all professional with great recommendations. I would recommend AEA for your eyecare needs.

The flow of the appointment onto the opticians to help select glasses made the whole experience easier for me. Jim Waters, the optician, is fantastic at fitting our toddler with high prescription glasses and making sure they fit perfectly when no other place would touch the RX. Jim put the first pair of glasses on our son at 18 months old and they fit perfect. We have even gotten prescription sunglasses for our now 3 year old son. We would not go any where else!

This place not only incorrectly billed our insurance, their customer service or horrible, I was checked in and I recieved a call on my cell phone asking if I would like to reschedule! they didnt realize I was there. the appointments almost always are 30-60 minutes late.
