Been going here for YEARS and working with Dr. Martin is excellent, shes very informative and very helpful but I will no longer be taking my pets here. I recently adopted a cat and had a 9 a.m. appointment, this cat is very set in his own ways and long story short, getting him in my car took effort so of course im running a little late. I get to the vet., im about 5 - 10 minutes late so im thinking not a major deal, I didnt receive a phone call saying my appointment would have to be rescheduled so I assume everything is on just a little bit later. I tell them I dont have him in the carrier but I do have a 9 a.m., they tell me he has to be in his carrier but that they would HAVE TO push my appointment back to 10:30 am. I have absolutely no problem with the cat having to be in the carrier, my problem is that there was ABSOLUTELY NO CONTACT, NO PHONE CALL, TEXT OR ANYTHING SAYING MY APPOINTMENT WAS GOING TO BE PUSHED BACK. No call asking if I was going to be in when I didnt show up promptly at 9. I essentially drove my cat in the car (cause you know cats absolutely love cars) to have to be turned back around without any warning and when I called them to let them know I will no longer be returning the answer was just, "ok," nothing else. Sum it up, Ive been going here for years and Dr. Martin is amazing to work with and will answer any questions you have but the front office needs A LOT of catching up to do and needs to have better communication with their customers and for that, I will NEVER be coming back here again.

I have been delighted in every way with the practice and Dr Martin. I have a dog with bad knees/hips and a cat with chronic problems so I have had plenty of reason to know how good and caring the care is at Prime Care. Dr Martin is the most involved vet I have ever encountered and she has given superb care to my animals, all of whom now enjoy great health, thanks to her. The staff is also very caring and do careful follow up to my visits to be sure all is well. Once I discovered her I gave up going to a big vet practice near my home that I had gone to for 30 years-- and I drive 20 minutes to see her knowing I can count on her to know all about my dog or cat. I can always get a prompt phone call back if I have concerns, a huge comfort. She guided me to excellent specialists when my dog needed knee surgery and helped us with every step toward complete recovery. As to cost, she is less than my previous vet and gives a terrific senior discount. You cant do better than Prime Care!

I came home late on a Friday only to find my dog Maggie walking on three legs. I called every vet I could find online Saturday afternoon and was told the earliest she could be seen was Wednesday. I called Prime Care on Monday morning when they opened and we had an appointment at 3:30 that afternoon! What a different experience. We got there at 3:25 and were seeing Dr.Laura at 3:30! Every other time Id been to a vet I had to wait at least 15-20 minutes after my appointment before my pets would be seen. The staff and Dr.Laura are great. They made Maggie feel at ease and comfortable. Dr.Laura listened to everything I to say and explained how she wanted to treat Maggie and why. Ive already recommended Prime Care to my daughter and quite a few friends.

This is our first dog. We knew almost nothing. For years my son begged for a dog. We finally gave in and adopted a dog. My son supposedly did all the research and assured everyone that a Lab would be the ideal dog for us as a first dog. Our first trip to the Dr. Martin was shocking, eye opening, and the best thing that we could have done for both the family and our dog. Dr. Martin and her staff took a long time patiently instructing us on everything that we should have known. She took care of our first dog. Although we were reminded that dogs are a lot of work, she also reminded us that we were going to love her and she will be worth the work. Today we love our dog, and it definitely worth the work and money.

Five (5) dogs and excellent care for all of them, from puppies growing up to seniors and that final visit. Dr. Martin and her team have shown compassionate and professional care to all of them. There have been challenges and this practice has partnered with us, and with specialists to assist us in providing the highest quality of life for our companions. It is the reason we have been with this veterinary practice since we moved into the area back in July of 2005. Princess, Chance, Maggie, Bailey and Thunder thank every one at Prime Care, even if they had to have needles and IVs. They felt so much better!

Contrary to what some other reviews are reporting, I have found that they have fair pricing and care. Dr. Martin and the staff are kind and take the time to answer all my questions without making me feel like theyre just rushing to see the next patient. They even call ME to see how my cat is doing. My cat is calm and enjoys each visit, and they allow him to freely run and jump around the room as he pleases (I have experienced in the past that other vets/assistants prefer to keep the animal on the exam table at all times). Thumbs up for this clinic!

I found Prime Care from the Maryland Gazettes Readers Choice awards. My kitty Cleo has allergies which have made her bumpy and itchy (poor thing). Dr. Martin and her staff are compassionate, professional and thorough. Dr. Martin explained a treatment plan and possible next steps. She did not rush and seemed genuinely interested in my little stories about Cleo and her brother. We have found our vet. Plus, as the server-human for two kitties, I appreciate that Dr. Martin keeps both dog and cat treats in the exam room.

I switched to Dr. Martin years ago when I had a fearful dog and my previous vet wasnt taking enough time to let her acclimate before appointments. Dr. Martin and her staff were very patient and gentle, and my dogs fears were soon much reduced. My dog lived to a ripe old age under Dr. Martins care. Now I have a new pup, and she loves coming to the vet, even after her spay surgery. Dr. Martin is expert at distracting dogs from most of the scary stuff, and all my dog remembers is the affection.

PAWsitively Five "Woofs"! It is hard to find a good Doctor (for me or my dog!) who cares and who takes time to listen, answer your questions and explain things in a clear and unbiased manner. UNRUSHED!! Doc Martin is phenomenal, she truly cares and gives expert treatment. All of this shows as our Brittany Louise cant wait to get in the door of the office to see her! She is our friend. Thank you Doc and Staff P.S. I really admire how she works with her staff and mentors apprentices.
