Saying Goodbye to My Dixie (with the loving support and canine kindness of Dr. Debra, Kelsey, and Stephanie all others staff members at Village Vet of Urbana) this is Dixie Pooh she was a rescue dog that spent most of her life chained under a truck well until she became the queen at my home. Then one day she became very ill and had to cross the rainbow bridge. She ate something in the woods that made her ill. She was in so much pain and could not breathe. I took her to the Village Vet of Urbana and left her there so she could be checked out. Within an hour they called to tell me that she was extremely ill. I guess when dogs eat something that is poisonous it happens quickly because two days before she was running in the backyard chasing her ball. Dr. Debra said she could try and save her but it would be very costly and doubtful she would live. She did not pressure me either way but said I needed to make the decision. I decided on euthanasia. Kelsey and Stephanie the vet techs were right by my side and crying with me. Dixie, went very quickly smiling up at me. Dr. Debra said something so beautiful when I said, "She never even acted sick other than lack of appetite. I felt terrible that I did not act sooner." She said "Sometimes when dogs have lived a horrific life and then get to become a faithful, loving, companion to someone that loves them back so much." They hang on because they do not want to let go and see you hurt. Now that is a Pet Clinic that truly understand the relationship of how much pets mean to us and we mean to them. Just know this, your love for animals our adopted furry children makes each of thankful for all you do to keep them with us for as long as they can be. When we have to let them go, help us do so in the most benevolent, merciful, sympathetic and loving manner.

Dr. Sapcariu has been our family vet for over 20 years, so when she announced she was moving to Village Vet of Urbana, there was no question we would be following her there. Dr. Sapcariu has always treated our pets as her own. She answers questions patiently and thoroughly, and always has our pets’ best interests in mind. We appreciate her kindness and compassion, not only with our pets, but with us too. She has helped us through the loss of 3 of our pets, giving us guidance and loving support throughout the whole process. We were happy to be among her first clients at Village Vet of Urbana. The facility is new, clean and fresh and the staff is helpful and friendly. We look forward to continuing our family vet care with Dr. Sapcariu in her new place and highly recommend Village Vet of Urbana to anyone in need of quality vet services.

This veterinary clinic is under new management and I was really impressed with my first visit there--with the facility itself and the professionalism of the staff. In the interest of full disclosure, I chose Village Vet of Urbana because one of the best veterinarians in Montgomery County is now on staff there--Dr. Debra Sapcariu. I brought my cat in for an annual checkup, shots, and blood work. My cat is skittish and easily frightened, but she was handled gently and with kindness by the staff, got through her visit with flying colors, and curled up and slept all the way home.

Dr. Sapcariu has been our vet and friend for almost 18 years, so it was a an easy decision to follow her to her new practice in Urbana, MD. Its about 15 minutes further for us than her old office but its well worth it knowing that our furry family members will be getting the best care possible! She has always given us the best service and treated our animals like hers. The office is warm and inviting and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. I would recommend them to anyone who wants the best for their pets.

Dr. Little is both skilled and compassionate. She helped us through some difficult times with our elderly cat, including coming to our house twice to care for him. I highly recommend her.

Dr. Little is a kind and compassionate vet who is flexible in her practice. She met us on a Sunday when our cat had an emergency. She also makes house calls. Highly recommend.
