I went in here about two months ago, very sick. After explaining my symptoms to the front desk person, I was told that the wait would be about an hour because they were busy. That seemed reasonable so I sat to wait. After two hours, and one trip to the front desk to ask how much longer it would be, I then was moved to the back into an exam room and was told that the doctor would be with me shortly. After another forty-five minute wait, I finally went in search of a nurse to ask how much longer I would be waiting. She said the doctor would be be with me shortly. After another twenty minute wait, a doctor finally arrived, did a brief (2 minutes max, no talking to me beyond reading from my chart) exam and asked if I thought I had the flu, because my symptoms were similar. I told her I didnt know but I didnt think so but she proceeded to call for an influenza test and left. Outside the door, I overheard all of the nurses telling each other that I was over-reacting and it was stupid that I needed a flu test... first of all, how rude and unprofessional, and second, the doctor never even bothered to take the time to do an exam and here what I was telling her. I had recently gone to a southern state where I was bit multiple times by mosquitoes and she smirked and brushed it off when I mentioned that fact to her It was her inexcusable and lazy attitude that called for the flu test because she didnt bother to have the time to hear me out. Obviously the test came back negative and I left... 3 1/2 hours later... Three days later I was in so much pain I could barely move and I could almost not swallow because my throat was so constricted. I went to Winding Cross Urgent Care in Frederick and had a totally different experience! They had at least twice the amount of people in their waiting room when I arrived, but I saw a doctor within twenty minutes. He took the time to let me tell him my symptoms, he asked me many questions, and actually brought up mosquito born illnesses and asked about my recent travelling habits without me bringing it up. Turns out I had a very bad respiratory infection that was only getting worse but they were able to catch it thanks to their care and devotion to their job. I will never ever recommend Immediate Care in Mount Airy to even my worst enemy. And on top of that, I was billed twice as much for that visit, than to the Winding Cross Urgent Care in Frederick... Your better off going to die in a hole than go to this place!

This business is run very poorly. When you walk in they give you a number to wait to sign in. After about an hour that have you sign in and put down the time you arrived. Then you sit and wait again. Eventually the lady calls your name to register you. Once you give her your papers ID and insurance card you sit again while she keeps your ID insurance card. Next she calls your name to pay. Now you are stuck here cause they have your money, even though no services have been rendered. Then you sit and wait again. While the lady proceeds to tell newcomers the wait is two hours. Ive been here two hours and have yet to be taken back. The average time I have seen people be in the back is 45 min to an hour. It is not exorbitantly busy Id say moderate. All I. All I think it is just poorly run.i have been to many immediate care facilities and most seem much more proficient. Came here as this is Mount Airys only option.

Two weeks ago brought my daughter in with a leg injury after a high school soccer game. PA comes back with not broken and that she needs to get off the crutches in a few days so that the muscle doesnt atrophy. Days go by and she still isnt better. Gave it a week and asked for the x-rays to take to another doctor for a second opinion. The xrays from Mount Airy Health Services showed a break midway down the fibula. Took her to MMI who confirmed the break. Called Mount Airy Health Services back and spoke to the same PA who handled my daughter and she said that she didnt even look at the x-ray. She said she just took the radiologists word for it. Two weeks of pain my daughter went through over a misdiagnosis that was showing on the x-ray. 4 days since the phone call asking for the office manager to contact me. Still no return call.

My husband went in with textbook pink eye. He was diagnosed with pink eye. They prescribed him drops to be "taken once a day." After two days, his eye was no better. He called and asked him to prescribe something stronger. They insisted that he come in again, pay another $$ co-pay. I find this to be extortion. They either misdiagnosed him which is why he would need to go in again or the prescription needs to be altered which doesnt require going in. This time hell go to an eye doctor and get real medical help. Avoid if you have anything serious that needs attention. I give them two stars because we have been when my son split his eye open and they did a great job of patching him up.

Arrived at 7:50am on Saturday and there was a line but wait wasnt long. Registration was a little slow but pleasant. I confirmed the blood tests being done on referral. Lab tech was a young woman not very personable. I asked her if she knew what blood tests were being performed since I didnt want to come back and my child has a fear of needles. She said she did. When my doctor called with the results, she said the lab didnt run all of the requested tests. So much for trying to get it right the first time. The lab blames Pediatric Ctr for not sending an accurate referral even though I confirmed the tests with the lab the day of service.

They suck, take too long and dont let you know whats going on. I went there today, found out I had a broken rib after waiting 1 1/2 hours just to see somone , then going for x rays back to the room waited again 30 minutes for the doctor to stop back by, she told what was wrong and causing the pain, told me to wait in the room, she ordered the prescription and she never came back. by now is was 8:30 pm and still no one, all the pharmacies close at 9. I went out to find out what was tacking so and they had forgotten about. and of course the pharmacy was closed

My husband and I went to this facility for a blood clot in his arm. We waited for 1-2 hrs in the waiting room. Then we waited for about an hour in doctors office until the doctor came. He wouldnt even listen to us, even though we knew where the blood clot came from. Josh had been in the hospital for an extended period of time and the needle in his arm had caused a blood clot to form. The doctor stayed for 2 minutes, suggested we just get some asprin and left. We waited 3 hrs, just to be told we needed asprin. This experience was appalling.
