If you can help it stay away from this ER. I can go on about it for a day, but keep it for last 2 visits. First time 4 months ago, go there with some kind of bad system-wide infection, with my other ongoing complicating factors. Get there and the place is packed, not even chairs for the hour long wait to sign in. At the sign in, ask for the wait time because first woman wouldnt tell me... 12 hours. 2 hours later leave for Urgent care. Then maybe 2 moths ago, still dont know what it was, best guess is some kind of thyroid attack basically debilitated me for 3 hours w/ partial seizures. Overheating, cant think and barely see for a while. With a flared up infection on hip that originated from the joint. So unfortunately went again. 9am on a weekday and place looks even more packed. Start asking for wait time, for 3 hours everyone saying they cant tell me, not even rough estimate. 3-4hours call me to start collecting info. Finally i just withhold my insurance info until they tell me, and they all start getting attitudes. Cant tell me, just wanting insurance info. I said Im going to just leave then. Then the short woman sitting at a desk 10 ft. directly behind her gets up with her attitude and finally says 10 hours, like Im asking for her bank account # while she is held hostage. ... So I dont know.. 7 - 8 - 9 hours later, eventually taken back. Seems like 90 % of all of them are 18-24 years old. Obviously inexperienced. First start by telling me it cant be my thyroid because the thyroid is on sides of neck, not where this golf ball is in the middle. About this absess thing, basically just poke, bandage it and tell me I need to go to a surgeon. WTF! Ive had primary doctors do it before. So just an entire waste of my time, waste of no doubt inflated ins. payment. Frustrating, offensive, unprofessional waste, being exposed to whatever sicknesses lie in the overcrowded waiting area. And better hope youre not in pain. Avoid this ER if you have any ability to do so. Those are just my last 2 visits. Im 34 I think, with very serious rare chronic conditions, know Ive had not good visits in the past, but feels like it only gotten worse over 20+ years I have no interest in calling your # in the replies. The problems are blaring. Triple the docs and nurses, experienced ones not minimum wage kids. Change the attitudes, god forbid maybe having a tiny bit of appreciation and some concern in a timely way for your sick customers of your community. While I understand its a problem, not everyone is simply there just trying score drugs, and you could go a long way for some people easing some of their legitimate suffering. Instead of it being the first assumption by every know-it-all 20yo nurse. Its ridiculous. Im 34, brain tumor, failed hormone processes and failing. Very high risks for cancer and I probably already multiple types, chronic pain from deformed joints of acromegaly. Your place is probably the last place Id go, and I currently live 5 - 10 minutes away. Feel bad for everyone around here that youre their hospital

I delivered all 3 of my children at this hospital. I was even born here. My siblings were born here. I love it!! Everyone in the birthing center is great, especially Layla!! She assisted with my 2015 birth. I requested her again and she was working that day so I got her again for my 2016 birth!! Doctor Yeshnik is highly recommended for labor and delivery. What a great doctor and his staff are TOP NOTCH! It is important for me to mention in this review one negative and the only reason I am removing 1 star. If this scenario would not have happened, it would have been a 5 star experience: Watch out for the Lactation Specialist Angela. She is known around the hospital and the community as the "Lactation Nazi". I like to label her as pushy, unprofessional and better off in some other hospital, not my local hospital. I had just had my third baby and the moment I pushed her out of my body, Angela was at the curtain trying to invade my privacy and promote nursing. I told her not to come in. She came back later in the evening and asked me if I knew who she was and that she wanted to see me and talk about lactation. She was taking my blood pressure, etc... like a normal nurse would do, like they all do. She made it clear that she knew I refused her entry at the time of birth but she wanted to get into my room anyway. I explained to her that I was going to do my best at nursing, the baby was latching and that I might not continue when I got home but I would try. I work full time and my other two babies were nursed until I went back to work. She went on and on and on about the benefits, even quizzed me.. Thankfully, I got the answers correct (this isnt my first rodeo). That was all while I was trying to eat my meal on the sofa and watch a movie with my husband while the baby was sleeping. I made it clear to the rest of the nurses that she was no longer allowed to enter my room. I was going to give her (and only her) a low survey score but I never received my survey from Carroll this time around. Other than the Angela experience, I would recommend this hospital to anyone going in for labor and delivery. Im unsure how the hospital is in regards to other areas outside of labor and delivery.

Well, my reveiw is for the birthing center and the doctor that delivered my daughter. The nurses were very nice but, the doctor on the other hand had no clue what she was doing. She had me in labor for 26 hours not once ordering a c section because 1: my daughters heartbeat kept dropping during contractions and 2: she knew that my pelvic area was way too small to give birth. So, when my daughter was finally born she wasnt breathing. Then a couple hours after having her we found out that she was having seizures. They aslo left her dirty from delivery didnt even clean her up. The other babies were clean but, not my little girl it wasnt until she was at the other hospital did they clean her up.. She was transfered to Childrens National Medical Center in D.C. to the NICU. There we found out that at the time of birth she had a Stroke, had bleeding on her brain and brain injuries ALL from giving birth! If I could go back in time I would have went to a different doctor and hospital. Now we have to watch out for my daughter because she could have seizures at anytime, she might have epilepsy when she is older, also when she starts talking and starts school she may have trouble learning and have trouble with her speech. She might also have a hard time learning to walk. Do not go to this hospital or have this doctor deliver your baby. Now my husband and I are planning on taking action!

I was sent by ambulance to Carroll with a leg broken in 5 places on a Friday night. I was never even seen by a Dr., just a PA (who was very nice but just a PA). The orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Silver, was off site and didnt think my X-rays warranted his time so they sent me home with pain killers and a splint and told me to call on Monday. My leg was completely crooked. I could feel my bones splay out every 5 minutes. When a surgeon at Mercy Medical Center saw my X-rays the next day he had me come into their ER right away. I ended up needing emergency surgery immediately (the opened an OR just for me because it was so bad) with another surgery in 2 weeks. The damage to my soft tissue was already really bad from waiting as long as I had. All of the people at Carroll that I came in contact with were very nice... My issue is with the people that were too lazy to even speak to me. If it were not for Mercy, I would have likely had permanent damage. My husband also had a similarly bad experience 10 years ago that later tests showed Carroll gave us incorrect test results. Avoid this hospital if you can.
