My fiances family have been going to this vet for sometime now and I had recently took our new dog here, we made an appointment to get him fixed and everything went well until after we picked him up, I was expecting him to be a little hurt as for all animals who have this done but my dog was CRYING at the top of his lungs in pain and I know the difference I had many dogs in my lifetime. I immediately called Huffard animal hospital and when the woman at the desk answered the phone I asked her what was wrong and why he was crying the way he was because it was NOT normal,the first woman told me "he was fine when he was here" but gave me no solution I asked her again what I can do she gave no solution only telling me how he was when he was there I got angry Im not going to lie I asked to speak to a Dr and she told me again that she was playing with him that morning, she was clearly ignoring my concerns so I had a right to be angry my dog was CRYING in pain, we got into an argument and I asked to speak to someone else she told me "no" then hung up on me. I called back again furious and a different woman answered immediately arguing with me and she DENIED me when I asked to speak to either THE VET, or the MANAGER, they then told me they would remove me from the store and I responded by saying "how Im not even there" then immediately after the told me to bring him in, no thanks I dont want to be arrested, we sent him to a different vet (a much better one) same day and they figured out and fixed the issue and he was fine and is STILL doing fine, they called me 3 days later asking how he was doing like they cared they denied every attempt I made for help I said hes fine no thanks to your hospital and hung up, I just not received a letter in the mail telling me to never return to their hospital and if I did I would be arrested, I had no intent on going back to this patchy vet, the women at the front desk know nothing and they wouldnt even Transfer me to someone who actually knows what they are doing, theres only one good Dr there the rest messes up multiple times on my shepherds eye issues, I recommend no one go to the hospital and I hope the OWNER sees this review and takes careful consideration when they hire staff because Im sure the staff didnt tell the manage the full story.

My very first experience was "ok" at best. I did not think the doctor was not as involved as maybe she should have been. Every visit after that, we got a new doctor and it was smooth sailing. The location was extremely convenient for me, but that did not play a huge roll in this facility caring for my pets. The front desk stay is wonderful, to say the least. They were always welcoming and smiling and really enjoyed my dogs active presence. They would always offer a room for us to wait in, as oppose to the waiting area in front, because my dog gets over excited around other pets and that gesture was always great for us. The appointments were always easy to make and accommodated my families schedule. My dog also received surgery here for a cancer mass. All went well and the doctor even called us during his procedure about another mass we questioned about during a previous visit to see if she could go ahead and remove it to be on the safe side. Of course, we had to pay for that extra, but it was nice for her to call and ask. Overall our total experience was a pleasant one. All three of my dogs were able to be in and out of there appointments in a timely manner and the staff was always great to encounter. We no longer live in the area, but if I had to choose, I would take my pets back here. The facility also offers boarding and grooming. We did not use these services, but it was great to have the option.

I cannot begin to tell how wonderful these people are! My dog had not been to visit the vet in a long time and when she had a growth in her ear that broke open and had an arterial spray, she was losing blood too fast, we called them and they said bring her right in. No shaming me for our absence, not even while we waited for what could be done and how much the estimate would be, they just showed her love and compassion and us humans too. Then, while expecting the surgery she needed to be the next morning (today as I write this) I get a call from Dr. McCafferty that she has already done the surgery pretty much right after we left as she couldnt leave her overnight in that condition. I can think of lots of places that would have done just that....but not Huffard. They have always loved our pets. My doggy is happy and healthy this morning because of them and we can pick her up after work. Huffard does great work and they really do love our pets. - UPDATE as of 9/19/16 - took a stray kitty we took in who had kittens as she was very sick, not eating, drinking and generally lethargic. They once again provided OUTSTANDING service - kitty was feeling MUCH better by the weekend (visited on Thursday) and is now almost 100%.

My dog Daisy has been cared for by the staff at Huffard Animal Hospital since she was a puppy, which was 8 years ago. I have always been happy with the service and the friendly atmosphere that you get when you walk in the door. Recently I experienced an even greater display of caring. One day a few weeks ago Daisy was not herself, she was lethargic and not eating. I became very concerned and I called Huffards and informed them that I did not have an appointment, but I needed the Vet to examine Daisy. They told me to bring her in and they would fit her in. I expected to have a lengthy wait since I was a "walk-in", but to my surprise, 10 minutes later they took me right back to the examination room. As it turned out she just had an upset stomach, they gave me an instruction sheet on what to do and when to do it and they answer my questions. As always the staff was very professional and thorough with her examination. The staff there you can clearly see they are all animal lovers. Happy ending Daisy is fine, thanks to the excellent care at Huffards. Im better too.

We got two puppies and they were very sick with a bacteria infection. Yes it did cost to get them better but when you get a dog consider the cost of their up keep. Dont assume your just going to put out money for shots. The staff and Dr. McCafferty were wonderful. They knew I was upset about having to leave them over night when I had just had them for about 5 weeks. They made me feel secure about leaving them and kept me updated plus put up with my calls. I have always had large dogs and this was my first experience with small breeds. They saved me money as they knew if one dog had the bacteria so did the other so they mixed there samples so I only had to pay for one test. Also when we were there an obviously very ill dog came and you could tell the distress of the owner as Im sure the dog was older and not going to pull through. Not only how they cared for the dog but the owner impressed me. The staff is always welcoming and I highly recommend them.
