The store was very cramped. I always felt like I was in someones way. The sales guy was nice at first, but after we choose frames we liked he didnt give us any choices in the lenses. We picked out a regular frame and sunglasses frame. He was on the computer (I thought he was just typing in the demographics info) and then looked up and said the total was about $700!!!!! My fiancé and I just looked at each other in disbelief. He entered the most expensive lenses and coatings without telling us. He didnt go over any options. Good thing I brought a print out of my fiancés vision benefits and asked why we were paying so much. I felt like I was haggling with him to bring the price down. We were debating whether or not to make the sunglasses prescription or not and wear them with contacts. He mentioned that if my fiancé wasnt wearing contacts, he wouldnt be able to wear the glasses. Well duh.... were not stupid and I he became less friendly. I printed a coupon from vsp (the vision plan) website for an extra $20 dollars off and he didnt even try to use it or ask a manager to help him. He just when he typed it in it wouldnt work... Unfortunately we loved the frames we found, but walked out very upset and feeling ripped off. We will NEVER go back.

I went here for an insurance covered eye exam with no intention of purchasing frames/contacts. The wait could have been shorter, but its open on a Sunday, which is convenient, so no real complaints there. An assistant explained the copays and prescreening. The optometrist was friendly, professional, and answered my questions. However, after leaving the exam room, I was led to a salesperson to get a hard sell. I was then quoted a "deal" of almost $300, post insurance. Another laughed at my sticker shock and told me to "put it on the amex!" I then asked for a breakdown, which I was given, reluctantly with a minimum of detail. Here, I was greeted with a surprise $150 "contact lens evaluation fee" (more than the exam itself, basically 6 months worth of lenses, and up to this point, not mentioned before) for the exam lenses. I asked for pricing without the lenses, and got a back of the envelope price that was not much lower. They then wanted $35 for a PD measurement (takes 3 minutes). Unless you have no other option, or enjoy getting fleeced, stay far away from this place.

MyEYEDr failed to deliver my contacts on the promised date. I explicitly requested that they honor a date or notify me that it would not be possible. The associated committed to delivering my contacts on the agree upon date, the date passed - the contacts never arrived and the MyEYEDr never contacted me to reconcile. Instead another business day passes, and I have to reach out to MyEYEDr to inquire. I am transferred several times and am put on hold long enough for me to travel by Metro from DC to the Silver Spring (downtown office) -all the while still on hold - to attempt to resolve my issue. At the store, they still cant give me an answer and ultimately offer me a pair of trial lenses. I then tell the associate, who agrees to reorder the lenses I requested, not to ship them to my address (because no one will be there to receive them) but the leave them at the store- I will return to pick them up. He agrees. Two days later I receive a UPS shipping email indicating that the contacts are arriving at my home address....

Just moved to the neighborhood recently and i was looking for an eye glass store to purchase eye glass accessories. To make the long story short, I walked in to this store this afternoon and one of the employees greeted me and asked me if I had an appointment? When I replied no he said "no problem just sign the book and someone will be with you shortly". Shortly after someone walked up to me and asked how they could assist me. As I was telling them that I was here looking for a nose pad for my glasses, without any hesitation the gentlman asked to see my glasses and said" I will be right back".Soon after he returned with my glasses, two new nose pads and I can tell they were cleaned. As I mentioned earlier, to make the long story short. I appreciate their prompt customer sevice and they just got four more future customers. Thanks guys. AB

A wide range of selection of eye frames as well as designer eyeframes. The sales representative Mo was extremely helpful in his service and very knowledgeable. He made the process very stress-free and took the time to find a pair of glasses that satisfied my day-to-day needs. I can be very indecisive, but never did he show impatience. He simply asked me questions of what I liked or disliked about a particular frame which then helped me to make my selection. Also, Maggalie was super sweet and offered great customer service. They have a great team of individuals who enjoy their work with a positive attitude. I plan on going here again for my next eye exam and eye frames. Be aware that this MyEyeDr location is in the heart of downtown Silver Spring. The only close parking is COIN metered parking for up to one hour.

I really never write reviews but decided to do this one because its by far the best customer service I have ever received anywhere so why not? I came in because I lost my glasses so I needed one like yesterday and by the grace of God they had my lenses and Will was oh so helpful. I had an appointment and I was seen right away and was in and out in two hours with my new glasses. He helped me pick out the glasses in less than a minute and am loving the compliments.They accepted my groupon without any problems. Once again thank you guys and mostly Will. I definitely recommend this place.

I was very disappointed with both the service and quality of the product. I had to have my prescription sunglasses re-done because the staff entered the prescription incorrectly. This wasnt the first such error. The same thing happened two years ago. Today when I went to pick up my glasses the young lady who went in search of the glasses decided instead to have a chat with two co-workers. When I finally interrupted her she admitted she had forgotten about my glasses. Then she had to ask for assistance in fitting them. Ill be seeking a new vendor for my next glasses.

If there was an option to give a negative rating I would! When getting an appointment for an eye exam they said it will cost me $99 but just before taking the exam they said there is an additional $27 to check the health of my retina. The exam (both testing retina and comprehensive) completed in less than 10 mins, for $126 all I got was a prescription for my glasses; they did not give me a copy of the exam nor the picture of my retina. On top of this, they charge a premium price for their glasses. Please avoid this place at all cost., they just steal your money!!

I havent had an eye exam here, but I came here to get my first ever pair of reading glasses. Its a fairly small store, so the selection isnt huge, but theyve got designer frames, bargain frames, kids/teen frames, and petite frames. A little bit of everything. The staff are very friendly and personable, and were helpful without being overbearing as I selected the frames I wanted and made arrangements to order them in a color they didnt have in stock. My glasses came a couple days sooner than they anticipated. Generally a good first experience in buying glasses.
