Green Heating

Wish i took other peoples advice - been bringing my 2 cats there for 4 years now because its local and conveniant and the staff there has always been pleasant.. But everytime i go for their shots its always an upsell for bloodwork and saying somethings wrong with the younger one because shes skinny and needs like $600 of bloodwork. Always declined because i got 2 kids and a mortgage and money is tight, but they still make you feel like your not doing enough... Older cat got sick a couple times and it cost me close to $1500 -- This time my wife brought the older (10yrs) in because of loss of appetite and lethargic, right away needs $500 bloodwork and 2k in dental because of abcess and teeth issues. I decide to get a second opinion, because hey thats a lot of money, so i bring him to another place on referals from other people, and sure enough vet says no abcess, teeth are fine, little gum disease but normal for 10yr old cat, issue of not eating has nothing to do with mouth--- (really?)

This hospital has surpassed my expectations. They offer everything necessary to keep my two cats healthy. They dont recommend things for the money but because they know it will keep your cat healthier longer. Both Dr. Sara Doggett and Dr. Leavey are wonderful and caring. We love the technicians and receptionists who go out of their way to make us feel welcome. The doctors spend the time to discuss everything with us completely and are especially good at keeping kidney failure cats feeling well. You will pay more for the high quality care that you receive here. If youre looking for a place with the cheapest vaccines, go to a vaccine clinic where they dont even bother to look at your pet or make recommendations. Its your loss!

Been taking my kitty to VCA since I moved to Arlington almost two years ago. Things are pricey, I suppose, but my cat is 20.5 years old and still going strong. Their care has be completely worth it. They always call promptly with lab results, they always explain their options and the benefits and drawbacks. Every time Ive called with some concern or worry, one of the veterinary doctors calls me back to discuss the issue the same day. When I first moved to Massachusetts from California, I was worried about taking my 19year old cat along... but in reality, I truly feel that bringing her VCA City Cats has been one of the best choices Ive made for her.

The staff at VCA City Cats are incredibly friendly, accommodating, and helpful. Dr. Palmer is incredible. She patiently listened to all of my concerns and gave me great feedback and several possible options. Dr. Palmer took her time to examine Atlas and explain everything clearly. Atlas was calm for the entire appointment and enjoyed being showered with treats and attention. I left feeling comfortable with my choices, better educated, and relieved knowing that my cats are receiving great care from great people. I will be back with Atlas and his big sister Winry for all of their needs in the future.

Overpriced and terrible care. Dr. Kathleen Leavey charged $ 271 for a visit and medication. Nothing was help. I tried to call several times, but she didnt answer me and never return my calls. She wants a money only. Stay away from this "care" in VCA City cats hospital in Arlington. The fact is, I got more information, better and professional treatment and more respect from a local clinic called Merwin Memorial Free Clinic in Cambridge. You should definitely take your pet there and donate while youre at it.

I dont mind being fleeced, but I object to being skinned. I had been going to City Cats for years, and it was never inexpensive. Then the vet sold it and now the prices are outrageous. Over $600 to have a kitten spayed? And they require a pre-op visit, for which there is another charge. Their bills include all kinds of add-on charges. Admittedly, the service is very good.

I love this place! Dr. Leavey has given my cats absolutely wonderful care. Theyll answer questions by phone, advise you on options, and are always, always kind. Ive lived with numerous cats over the years, and wouldnt take them anywhere else.

Just took my cat there for the first time. I loved Doctor Joseph Cosman, and the vet techs. So warm and caring to both me and my cat. She wasnt given unnecessary treatments or tests. I highly recommend this cat hospital.
