In three years here, I havent had a single good experience. The lack of competence is actually both astounding and terrifying. Ive made appointments that mysteriously dont show up in the system the day of the appointment. Ive gone in for an urgent counseling appointment after the death of a friend and been told it would be MONTHS before a counselor would see me. I got told that they "dont have the resources to fully examine [me]" and that I should "go see a doctor" (I could have sworn that I was already seeing one, I guess not). The receptionists are rude, the counseling services are incredibly overbooked, I genuinely cannot believe how poor the quality of care Ive gotten here has been. Northeastern pretending to care about the physical and mental health of its students is a sick joke.

There are only two clinicians that I can remember having a really awful experience with. One was a nurse that took a blood sample for me, she was terrifying and very rude. There was another mental health clinician who yelled at me and made me cry. Everyone else that Ive talked to was great, and Ive basically talked to every single one of the behavioral health clinicians at this center and they were all decently helpful. There was even an asian american one that was familiar with mental health issues related to that ethnicity/culture. The process for re-entry from MLOA is always long, but I find that as long as you keep up with all that is needed in good time (getting things started ahead of time) everything runs smoothly.

So unbelievably awful. Went in for a physical aliment, and the receptionists told me I should "go see my home doctor" instead of treating. My home doctor lives states away. Ive had several friends try to go get mental health services with only bad results. As a friend of someone who desperately needed mental health counseling and could not get an appointment for months, I can assure you that the outcome was detrimental and dangerous. Really just terrible and unacceptable care from a university that is trying to make a name for itself.

The mental health support services are a joke, any student struggling for support in this area should not even try through UHCS because you will only feel more hopeless. If this school is big enough to have its own sanctioned police force this school needs a big enough health center to actually take care of its students. A dangerous lack of attention and resource.

Completely and utterly awful!! They take months to reply to emails regarding very important issues about my health and immunization records which puts a hold on my account. Im risking that my classes drop out and not allowed to start classes nor check my grades online. Especially if you are an international, they make it extra hard for you. Disgusted honestly.

They take months to reply to emails regarding important issue which results in my student account being on hold. Sometimes I wonder if there are people actually working in the office because they never bother to do anything.

Absolutely, legitimately, indubitably awful.
