Students, beware of costs and other implications associated with "tests" that are ordered. Doctor at student health ordered $400 drug screen for my child who had slightly high blood pressure, even though student was taking prescription meds that may contribute to it (and Dr. fully aware of these meds). Student was UNAWARE of, and certainly did not consent to, a drug screen would be done as part of the urinalysis. Of course we are responsible for this charge as such a charge is not covered by student health. Fortunately all were negative, as who knows what would have happened if any showed positive. Why not just ask patient about illicit drugs? What a profound breakdown in patient-doctor relationship, and lack of consideration of costs (real $ and those related to trust)! BU Student Health needs to evaluate their policies regarding drug screens and other tests that are of questionable need. Hey docs, consider establishing a relationship with your patients; or did they not teach that in MD-101?

SHS is the worst place to go checked! After visiting twice over a span of more than a month, they still were not able to recognize what I had. They told me to wait for an email from the referral head and then book with a real doctor. After two weeks, I was still waiting and had to reach out to the referral head myself! She booked an appointment for me and told me I had to wait other 2 weeks!!! After all this time, my condition got way worse and I was not able to sleep well at night for over a month! I decided to go by myself to MassGeneral and was able to book for the day after and the doctor immediately understood what I had. Terrible terrible service

No point in any of the service. Appointments are a week away so if youre sick youll be back to your old self before you go. I called the front desk about a walk-in and she basically told me they dont accept walk-ins. I dont understand how terrible this service and no one I contacted was help at all.

I have been into Student Health several times. Just make an appointment before you go. I have found them consistently helpful, and considerant.

I have the worst case experience with SHS, I highly advise people to pay a co-pay and see Dr outside of SHS.
