I brought my 8 year old son for his bi-annual cleaning and I was greeted by Kelly and Jenny at the front desk. Jenny asked my son all about what he wants for Christmas and more. She made him feel comfortable right away. Kelly and Jenny were enthusiastic and very friendly with our family. The new office is clean and very modern. The waiting room has several toys and books. During my sons cleaning we were happy to see Kris who cleaned his teeth and updated us on his dental hygiene. Dr. Tremblay also spoke to me at length about some concerns I have for the future in terms of orthodontics. She gave me contact information on a couple orthodontists in the area. She also took the time today to do sealants so we wouldnt have to come back in a few weeks. We couldnt be happier with Northampton Pediatric Dentistry and we are very happy that there is an office now in Amherst which is closer to our home.

My kids (ages 14 and 11) have been going to NPD for years now. My one son who has anxiety has Nancy for his hygienist and wont see anyone else. She is SO good with him and understands him and works with him. She is very patient. She explains everything to him. At times she has to be firm with him because he doesnt like to brush his teeth but she is always nice about it and she cares. My other son will see any of the hygienists there. I have to say they are all good. I like them all! Dr. Tremblay is very nice and gentle. They are very informative and work with you so your child can have healthy teeth. And as a "bonus" - your child gets a new toothbrush and floss, and the younger kids get to pick a prize from their prize drawer! And the office staff - well they are just great too! Very friendly. I would recommend this practice to anyone.

I am writing this review as I told my Mom that it was important to have a kids point of view in the collection of reviews! While going to the dentist has not been one of my favorite events, I do enjoy going to see Dr. Tremblay as she is very kind and considerate of the fact that I am afraid of many of the tools and such they use. She is great about explaining what she is doing so I do not have to be afraid. I just had two fillings done in the past week and it was not a bad experience at all! I look forward to my next appointment now! Thank you for your consideration and extra attention for those of us who are a little nervous. PS: I also LOVE the wifi in the office!

Not all pediatric dentists are actually good with kids, but Dr. Tremblay is great. My daughter actually enjoys going. But what really stands out for me is the administrative staff. In particular, Debbie is always very lovely and helpful and caring. And at one point, when my daughter needed a lot of work, and there were incredible problems with insurance, Debbie went far and beyond what she had to do, in order to get things sorted out. She spent hours on the phone, on hold, calling the insurance company back again and again, making up for their horrendous performance. And triumphed in the end! All for my little girl.

Sofia and Josh always have such a positive experience with Dr. Tremblay and her staff. The hygienists give my children the confidence and knowledge on best oral hygiene practice. Sandy took the extra time to work with my son on proper brushing technique at our last visit, and Sarah worked with my daughter with her recent braces. Having my children look forward to their dental experience is extremely rewarding as a parent. I recommend anyone with small children to check out this office. Switching to Amherst also made it convenient!

I found this practice after years of trying to take my kiddo to various family dentists and basically getting kicked out for him being "too difficult." The first time I took him to NPD, he hopped in the chair, opened his mouth, and everything was totally fine. The setup of the office and demeanor of the staff are really welcoming for young people, and Ive had nothing but great experiences with all of the hygienists and dentists. My son is older now and almost too big to fit in the chairs, but doesnt ever want to switch!

Weve been going to Northampton Pediatric Dentistry for several years now and started because our daughter was nervous about the dentist and needed some fillings. We began with Dr. Kantor and when he retired transitioned to Dr. Tremblay. We have had nothing put highly positive and supportive experiences with everyone from the front end staff to the hygienists, to the dentists and weve dealt with some challenging dental issues that included an extraction. I cannot recommend this practice highly enough.

We had a wonderful experience bringing our 3yr old daughter for her first apt & her first real cleaning. When her eyes were sensitive to the lights they gave her a second pair of sunglasses to wear, along with letting her hold on to a toy when she was nervous. I loved that I could stand right there to hold her hand when needed & that the hygienist walked her through & explained every single thing she was doing & why. Wonderful staff & very welcoming atmosphere.

After having a horrible experience with another pediatric dentist that traumatized my 4 year old son and was rude to both myself and my son we found Northampton Pediatric Dentistry and they have been wonderful. My son is no longer afraid of the dentist and even when something has hurt a little he still goes because he knows he will be listened to. They are very patient and understand of both my requests and my sons. We are very happy to have found them!

I am so happy we found this exceptional place. They truly go above and beyond to ensure their little patients are not scared, fully understand the process of getting their teeth cleaned and pause along the way if they sense apprehension about a step. We started going when my son was 2 and he is now 4. The staff is patient, kind and thoughtful. I would highly recommend this place to my family and friends. I just wish I had a place like this when I was 3!

Love Dr. Tremblay and this practice. Kids + teeth = a struggle, but this practice has a knack for this. I dreaded taking my daughter, but they made it very easy. Their waiting room is super cute and inviting. She did not want to leave and suggested she bring a toy into to the room. They then managed to have her happily cooperate throughout the cleaning. And then picking out a toy at the end was a highlight.

Dr. Tremblay and her practice are excellent. My daughter loves going to the dentist, and to me, establishing a comfort level with dental care at an early age is important to continuing good dental care into adulthood. My older daughter is already talking up going to the dentist to her little sister, who will have her first visit this spring.

My young child has been seen twice in this facility and the atmosphere is always friendly. We have seen 2 different dentists and both were calm and nurturing toward my child making us all feel at ease. This type of service is exactly what I wanted for my child to reduce any fears toward the dentist in the future. Thank you!
