As someone who had to change careers and go back to school full-time in my 30s and owns two older cats, I cant even properly tell you how grateful I am with how understanding the Cat Clinic folks have been when Im deciding what I can and cant afford to do. They dont ever guilt me or try to up-sell like VCA always did. I always feel like they genuinely care about the welfare of my little buddies and appreciate my business. And to address another review, they have always looked to find the underlying cause of any illness in my experience. However, just as with humans, sometimes its next to impossible to find out what the cause is unless you spend thousands upon thousands, and therefore its necessary to just give supportive treatment for symptoms. Thats even more true with viral illness. Also, I was unaware that there were ANY vets who do in-house blood analysis like CBC and chemistry. I know there cant be many of those or places like Idexx Laboratories (where the Cat Clinic sends their blood work, which is SO fairly priced its borderline ridiculous) wouldnt exist. I do agree that having to go elsewhere for an ultrasound would be very inconvenient, but thankfully I havent had to do that yet. Finally, let me just say that Ive had generally good experiences with the doctors at the Cat Clinic, but I really want to point out that I think Dr. Taylor is truly exceptional and more than a pleasure to work with. Her passion and compassion are abundantly evident. Shes the type of person you should want taking care of your cats.

I really want to like the Ann Arbor Cat Clinic but I think there are a lot of aspects of their customer service that could use improvement. We scheduled dental surgery through them for our cat, we were told the day before that they overbooked and our appointment was cancelled and we had to reschedule. They dont really do a good job when it comes to notifying their customers about test results. When we call and ask to schedule our cat for a grooming (you know, because she might have matted hair, or may be overweight or maybe she is shedding all over the place, or ANY OTHER reason), literally the LAST THING we want to hear is a juvenile voice at the cat clinic informing us that "Cats groom themselves you know. Why do you want to get them groomed?", how do you even respond to such a ridiculous (and very rude I might add) question/statement when you are calling them to schedule a service that THEY PROVIDE? Ill let the readers of this review be the judge. And last but not least, their prices are definitely on the "rip-off"y end of the spectrum, but people will put up with it because I think they are in a good location and the clinic seems to generally have a pleasant environment. In general, I think the Ann Arbor Cat Clinic will suffice if you REALLY need a vet near you in a convenient location, but I think there is a lot of room for improvement and there are more pleasant places you can take your beloved cat.

The AACC is a ** wonderful ** place for wellness exams, vaccines, spaying/neutering, and other routine cat health procedures. Their adoption program is great! However, they are not at all equipped to handle potentially more serious diagnostic tasks and treatments. Most importantly, they dont have the ability to do in-house bloodwork or ultrasounds. This becomes quite important as you need to wait while they get results from someplace else (and then call you with the info) and/or schedule an appt with another vet who can perform the ultrasound. I have found that they are sometimes much too focused on symptom-relief rather than diagnosing the cause of those symptoms. My frustration with their services has grown over the last several years (as my cats have aged) and Ive begun to take my cats elsewhere.

I would like to note upon writing this review there were only 3 other reviews , I read all 3. I recently adopted 2 kittens almost 3 months old now. They came from the Humane Society of Huron Valley. I took them to the A2 Cat Clinic for their 10 day checkup, the Veterinarian as well as her assistance were very kind and helpful with questions. They certainly seemed to care about the well being of the cats. This was only a general checkup. However, we will be revisiting them in the future, Overall from what I saw they were very knowledgeable with cats and without a doubt cared and enjoyed seeing their visit and made them as comfortable as possible. I will be returning to them in the future and will write reviews to keep others up to date!

This place is fantastic! I would not and will not take my kitties anywhere else. They have cared for both of our fur babies for the past almost 9 years since they were babies.... from the normal health stuff to the emergencies to the grooming they offer. This past week our oldest was diagnosed with a very fast progressing tumor. They did the most they could to make him comfortable so he was not suffering. Saturday when the time came for him to cross the Rainbow Bridge, they handled it with care and dignity. (Thank you Dr. Whitaker!) I have had a few vets I have dealt with over the years and this place by far has the greatest staff... you can tell everyone there loves cats!

We took a cat that we were caring for into the A2 cat clinic as he was having trouble urinating. They kept him over night and called us to pick him up the next morning. When we got there they said he had blood and crystals in his urine but when we asked about medication the office person said the vet did not perscribe any. We asked if the vet had given him an atibiotic injection and they said NO. The diagnosing vet was not in the office so we had to demand that they call her. The vet asked to keep the cat another day to give him treatment there. There seemed to be a complete lack of communication in the office. If we had not questioned it, this cat could have been in danger.

This vet is great! I adopted a cat from the HVHS who ended up having a lot of health issues due to his previous circumstances so Ive been to see them quite a few times. They genuinely care about the welfare of my little buddy. Everyone is helpful and friendly and the examination rooms are always clean. If theyre booked up and my cat needs to be seen theyll try and accommodate me best they can. Great place that I would recommend to anyone with a cat. Pricing is about average - but the level of care that your cat gets makes it more than worth it.

There are some caring technicians and reception staff at AACC, but after more than a decade as their client, Im finished. Their adoption program for kittens ends up being some bizarre, extortionate machine that will end up costing you over $400, if you choose to use their clinic (as most would) for spaying and microchipping, etc.. Im happy to pay my share and do what I can to help a homeless animal, but the business machine of AACC is very obvious. Their care as of late is hesitant and equally costly. Im so disappointed.

Weve been bringing our cat Tug here for years now. The doctor today even remembered him when he got lost for 2 months and his collar grew into his armpit. She helped him then. I wish today was better but my poor cat had to be put down cause of how bad he suffered. Everyone was very kind and sweet with even me sitting there crying my eyes out because I lost a pet Ive had since age 4.. anyone with a pet I recommend this place because they will treat your pet with love and kindness.
