This is a learning hospital so there are a lot of student nurses and people in training which makes it hard to get an answer to a simple question. You can ask 3 nurses the same question and get 3 different answers. Very frustrating. Labor and delivery is a joke. Everything takes 2 hours longer than they say. The girl (in training) who put my IV in my hand had to try so many times! It was painful and i had 2 hard lumps in my hand for 5 months! I delivered both of my children here and BOTH times they told me to stop pushing (which is nearly impossible!) because they didnt have the doctor there and ready. It was their responsibility to notify the doctor when he needed to be there, so i dont blame him at all. Before delivering my second child i warned the nurses that they better have the doctor ready this time because im not stopping again and guess what happened... lets just say im glad were done having kids just so we dont have to come here again. We did have a few very nice and smart nurses but most didnt know a thing.

They messed up my sons urine test AND blood test! No one cares and no one changes any procedures. They are incompetent with a smile. Because of them, my diabetic son has to fast again for another test because they forgot to mark the types of analysis on his orders that the doctor called in. This is not the first time they have done such things. Plus, we called and asked them to fax the results to our doctor and they said they were doing it as we spoke. Not! The doctor still has not received it! They should not be allowed to operate in such a manner which harms the patient. But, when we complain, no one cares. They change nothing and just lie to shut us up. Shame on them! There is better medical service in Syria!

From start to finish the attention and professional care from all the nurses and doctors was immensely appreciated! Although there are some NAs that dont seem to care much for what they are doing, they are still required and held to a high standard of care for the patient. I was very satisfied with the information, explanations, and attention from the caretakers, both for my wife and for our first born. Great experience!!! Thank you Lakeland Health!

Unfortunately, my wife and I had occasion to visit the Lakeland ER today. She is pregnant and fell on the ice. This is our first ever visit to this hospital as we are new to the area; what a great experience. The staff was phenomenal and took excellent care of my wife. Very prompt, professional care.

My mother Caitlyn was a patient at this hospital. She was having a hard time breathing due to asthma. The doctors helped her immediately and mom was feeling better after an hour of being at the hospital.
