I am 26 years old and try to maintain good oral hygiene at home but have not been to the dentist for a check up or cleaning in at least 4 years. Recently I decided its time to take care of my mouth. I am very impressed with my experience at Tranquility Dental and I would highly recommend them. SCHEDULING: They were able to schedule me for a new patient exam and cleaning the same week I called in. ATMOSPHERE: On my way to the appointment I was nervous but as soon as I walked through the door I felt very welcomed. The staff (reception, hygienist, dentist) were very nice throughout my appointment. The building is also very clean and bright with big windows in the reception area and also in the patient rooms. The place is decorated with modern touches that keep it from feeling like the typical sterile healthcare setting. There was even a medium sized screen in my patient room so I could watch tv during the appointment. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience and I felt very at ease. QUALITY OF CARE: I felt like I was in great hands the whole time. The hygienist held the perfect amount of casual conversation and did a fantastic job taking x-rays and cleaning my teeth. She explained explained to me they would take x-rays to assess my teeth and that I wouldnt need new x-rays for another 4-5 years (cant recall exact time frame.. but a significant length of time.) I didnt feel as if they were trivial or unnecessary. They also confirmed that the x-rays were covered by my dental insurance before my appointment. The hygienist took a full survey of my teeth and gum health before cleaning. She explained what she was doing and her findings as she was doing everything. She found some problem areas and provided me with information about I need to be doing at home. She did it in a way that didnt feel like a lecture and didnt make me feel guilty, it was truly helpful. I had a similar experience when Dr. Melissa came in to see me. She reviewed my X-rays and examined my mouth and just like the hygienist explained what she was doing and why. She took the time to explain what they found...cavities :( ... and what to do next. She was non-judgmental, listened to me, and answered all my questions. She provided information without lecturing. They also let me know what they had to offer for home tooth brushing equipment but did not seem pushy about getting me to buy anything. Throughout the appointment, I had the impression they were honestly assessing my oral health and not over prescribing anything to make a buck. At the end, they put together a treatment plan and the receptionist took the time to walk me through what the treatment would look like as far as time, cost, etc. She was straightforward about what my insurance covered and was very knowledgeable. I left the appointment feeling great and was given a high quality oralB toothbrush and a travel sized toothpaste and floss. VALUE/AFFORDABILITY: Although I havent shopped around too much, the prices they quoted me for filling my cavities seem appropriate for this dental work. I think affordability is about average but with the superior service and quality of care I think it is a great value. TAKE AWAY: I would recommend this place. I had a very pleasant first experience and am looking forward to continuing to use Tranquility for my dental and oral health needs.

What drew me in:
New office opened in October 2011. They are offering free whitening for life with regular 6 month cleaning and exam.
My experience:
From the phone call to set up my appointment to the time I left the office Tranquility Dental was friendly and professional. I was recommended to go by my sister and dad as they both had a lovely experience. When I called I mentioned my sister and dad and Lala remembered them! She even remembered specific things that my dad said and used them in a good way to connect with me. Lala (the office manager is super nice and well organized). She made me feel very comfortable.
Upon arrival to the office you immediately notice that everthing is very new and high tech! I have good teeth so no high tech stuff for this mouth but a mouth in need would definitely appreciate it!
I almost forgot to mention the text message and or e mail appointmet reminders! Super convenient for the busy mom on the go!
My visit consisted of dental impressions for teeth whitening trays, a little scaling and polishing. Autumn (the hygenist) did an extremely thorough job. She was very personable and we had fun conversation! She knew her job well and even did a couple of tricks to make the visit as comfortable as possible for me. Because, I didn't need any fillings etc, the doctors exam was quick but thorough. She checked each of my teeth individually and the inside of my mouth for "cancer screening" which she explained that she does to all of her patients.
All in all, a wonderful experience and I am excited to go back!
Female, age 32, Mother of 1, no oral issues.

I made an appointment to get my teeth cleaned. They offered me a special package price that included the x rays and 2 cleanings and a couple other small services. After the x rays and brief exam I was told it would cost me another $510.00 before they would even clean my teeth in peridontal scaling. So now I am being charged over $800 and they didnt clean my teeth. I could not afford the additional charges so still havent received dental care or cleaning and now it is worse than ever. They already took my money for the cleaning did not do it. When I called them and explained I would like at least the cleaning I already paid for I was told I would get call-backs that never came. After I called several times they finally consented to making an appointment but for a month later! Funny, because they made my first appointment (before they had my money) right away. So as it stands I have paid for two cleanings I have never received and I would have gladly used the $349 I gave them to have x rays and 1st part of peridotal work. If I had understood they were not going to do anything for that money I would have gone elsewhere. In attempting to schedule a cleaning I have already paid them for I have been treated very coldly and unpleasantly. I am very frustrated and feel cheated. I sincerely hopen when I see them they will honor their package price and clean my teeth without incident. I hope to come back here with a higher rating than I can give right now. My advice before buying their package make sure it is right for you and they are actually going to provide you with the work or service.

Just had my first routine visit at Tranquility Dental and was thoroughly impressed with the level of care and time each staff member spent with me during the visit. I would definitely recommend this office to anyone looking for a dentist that provides high quality care, listens to your concerns, has a relaxing atmosphere and utilizes the latest technology for patient treatment/education. You will not be disappointed with the experience the Tranquility staff delivers from the moment you enter the door until you leave.

My wife, four year old daughter, and I have all gone to Tranquility Dental and agree is there is no way we will ever go to another dentist ever again. Dr. Melissa and her staff are amazing - patient, encouraging, and incredibly reassuring. The office is modern, comfortable and impeccably maintained. I hated going to the dentist - I feared it for 20 years - but now Ill be at Tranquility Dental every 6 months for life.
